i feel the need in this season. If you do, what kind do you wear?
The weather is changing, tasteful friends. Are you wearing a hat when out?

Does anyone still wear a hat?

When it's very sunny in the summer (not always the case where I live), I'll wear a Tilley sunhat. Gotta keep the UV rays at bay.

Slouch hat when doing yard work.

I walk outside every day for exercise. I walk a total of 21.5 miles per week including 1.2 miles on my treadmill which I use once a week. I always wear a baseball cap.
For some reason I find guys in baseballs caps attractive- even the backwards ones at times.

I carry a parasol in the summer months because I don't like my head feeling hot/sweaty, and I don't care how flaming it makes me look.

A flat "pub" cap and sometimes a biker cap.

I don't wear one Bennett. I still have hair.

It depends on what I’m doing. I have several hats, each for a different activity.
There’s the yard mowing hat (that can fit over my ear protection), my yard work hat (old military bucket hat), my walking hat (like a Cuban papi would wear), and my driving hat (Panama hat). I also have a straw boater when I’m feeling daring.

I love hats on women and men.

A knit cap is called a “Seattle Sweater”.
I look special needs when I wear a hat, but the Trilby was in the past - my inherited trilbies worked with Trust departments at the time and it showed well.

by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 3, 2025 12:47 PM |
30 is too much? Or not enough?

I have been riding motorcycles since 1982, and I have no idea what you're referencing by "a biker cap," R9. Care to elaborate?
I have a baseball cap collection. I probably have > 100 of them. Maybe more, I don't know -- I never counted. Most of them are from trips I've taken, some have been gifts, and most have a lot of sentimental value. And I've worn every one, even if only for a little while.
In the summer sun (which is brutal here in FL), I tend to wear white or light colored caps. I wish I had more white ones -- I only have four -- because that's the perfect color for this time of year.
My ex-the-cop used to tell me I look goofy in them, but even when I was in my 30s, I DGAF. So how do you think I feel about that in my mid-60s?
Save your skin! Wear a hat!
