Tarrio added that Trump said “I love you guys” and asked him to deliver a message to other January 6 defendants: “Thank you.”

Enjoy your summer vacation:
The Trump administration has temporarily suspended an air-quality monitoring program at national parks across the country.
The program collects data on levels of harmful air pollutants, including ozone and particulate matter, at the 63 national parks in the United States. Federal officials consult this data when deciding whether to grant permits to nearby industrial facilities, such as power plants or oil refineries.
Breathing in these pollutants is linked to a range of adverse health effects. For instance, long- and short-term exposure to particulate matter is associated with heart attacks, strokes, asthma attacks and premature death, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.

I think the Trump admin is absolutely serious about annexing Canada. Otherwise they wouldn't keep having Donald bring it up. Starting a major military operation would be the perfect cover for martial law and suspending elections. And Americans love a big expensive foreign occupation because so many of them make bank from the military, its contractors and allied industries. Not to mention the Canadian conservative party is essentially just a branch of the Republican party. If the Conservatives had won the recent election they might very well have agreed to hand the country over to the US. They still might if they get the chance.

R63 - The other RePukes that support his actions must be in on it too as collapse of the 'system' as we know it will affect everyone in their circle as well as the rest of us. Maybe they think 'they' are immune or he must have some serious Kompromat (courtesy of Putin) on many of them. The value of everything (no matter who owns it) will plummet creating a global crash and only the top players will escape. Certainly there must be a group of people that are aware of what is transpiring and will try and thwart the destruction. The rest of us can only prep and hope we come out of this in one piece.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | May 7, 2025 1:43 PM |

R64 If you read the thread on Twitter, in Russia they'd kill anyone who tried to get in their way. Republican electeds are scared. Very scared. The media is scared. Even billionaires are scared. They "fall" out windows in Russia, too. They all know what happened in Russia prior to and during Putin's reign.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | May 7, 2025 5:59 PM |
R66 - Thanks for the info/reply. I get the scared part but as a collective they could certainly mount some sort of hidden revolt and being scared works both ways although I may not understand the full import of the tactics employed either way. Maybe that's why the Orange Skidmark was jetting around the globe last year visiting all the Dictators/Oligarchs to get schooled on how to implement such tactics here.
Of course Putin in the main ringleader and is using DUMP to destroy us from within knowing that money is DUMP's kryptonite. Beyond money, is hate and revenge against anything he is not and those who don't pander to his lunacy. His underlying ignorance and stupidity (as he has proved countless times) should assist in his downfall but he seems to have the Universe in his pocket as well as the MAGA Lugnuts that believe he's Gods gift to humanity. Heaven help the rest of us!!

I do try to review any comment(s) before hitting the POST button but sometimes things slip through. I know this happens to others and I just roll with it. There has been a massive transfer of wealth from the middle and working class to the upper 1-3% over the last 50 years. Most of it has to do with tax breaks for the rich, who went from paying 85-92% in taxes, to paying as little as a blue collar worker, and paying even significantly less tax rates for capital gains.

That’s because of pass through entities, partnerships and corporate welfare.
There should be NO CARRYBACK/CARRY FORWARD business losses. They can eat it and take it out if someone’s bonus.
If your company can’t show a profit in ten years, then you NEED TO BE OUT OF BUSINESS and stop leeching off the government.
Stop paying fucking bonuses, stop the golden parachute bullshit and you’d be able to wean yourself off welfare.

Canada/Carney: We are a nation based on laws and it is only fair to applied them equitably and not in favor of the wealthy or powerful. Thus, we have decided that President Trump may not attend in person. Any and all representatives of the United States with clear criminal records may attend on behalf of the administration.
Of course, Canada will provide top notch, secure networking and communication capacities so that President Trump may participate in real time.
If the Trump Administration believes there are extenuating circumstances that should allow for an exception to the law, there is an appeals process available through our Ministry of Justice and we encourage President Trump to explore this option.

R127 - Sad, but true. The Ignorance of the general populace is dumbfounding which is why they are easily duped. The fact that the current (maybe long term?) administration is dismantling everything that most of us rely on then declare Martial Law (or some other fabricated action). When people revolt it will be too late and the collapse will be complete and civil unrest will be rampant. It's a bleak scenario but those that didn't heed the warnings will suffer the most. I am a pragmatic optimist and do what I can and conduct myself in a responsible manner, as many are doing, but it's almost like swimming against the tide as the storm rolls in.

Trump Administration Preparing to Accept Luxury Jet from Qatar's Royal Family:
The Trump administration is getting ready to accept a super luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet from the royal family of Qatar to replace Air Force One until Donald Trump's second term ends, when ownership of the plane will be shifted to his presidential library foundation, ABC News reported, citing sources familiar with the agreement.
Trump is scheduled to visit Qatar next week where the gifted plane - which has been described as "a flying palace" worth $400 million - is anticipated to be announced. If the deal goes through, it would be the most expensive gift ever offered to the United States by a foreign government. Trump personally toured the plane in February when it was at West Palm Beach International Airport.
The emoluments clause of the Constitution bars federal officeholders from "accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State" without approval from Congress. But administration lawyers have given the gift the green light.
Per ABC News' sources, Attorney General Pam Bondi and White House Counsel David Warrington determined it is "legally permissible" because the plane will be given on the terms that its ownership will transfer to Trump's presidential library before he leaves office. But first, the 13-year-old plane will be given to the U.S. Air Force, which will cover the costs of updating the plane to meet U.S. military specifications necessary to transport the president, ABC News sources familiar with the anticipated arrangement.

[QUOTE]I'm sure they've got Donald on a suite of medications to slow down the progress of his Alzheimers and keep him manageable.
I've wondered how compliant he is with his Alzheimer's meds. He has a history of pill-popping and understanding that they make him feel better, but his narcissisism and the paranoia that often accompanies dementia can make him obstinately non-compliant.
My mother was like that, big narc -- she always knew better than anyone else, despite being the most ignorant person in the room. Before dementia, she deferred to male authority (her doctor) and took her cholesterol meds regularly, but as the Alzheimer's took hold, she became more knowledgeable than her doctor and started refusing the meds, which was her right and made my life miserable as her caretaker.
I've mentioned this before on other Trump threads: if there's a silver lining to all of this, it's that he's making life an absolutely miserable living hell for those surrounding him.

Just trying to imagine the reaction from Republicans and the media if Kamala had won and this was the headline this morning….
by Anonymous | reply 155 | May 11, 2025 7:45 PM |
R155 We're really so far beyond that now. There is no point to even imagine any Democrat doing what these people are doing.
We are now living in a completely different country.
My theory on the Dems lack of action:
1) Some are complicit: We have to realize and confront this. Especially higher-ups. We know who some of them are, (example: I've always been a fan of Pelosi; but we know she's far wealthier than is plausible, and we know why), but not all. We also don't know the degree. Maybe some day more will come out.
2) Many who aren't complicit, were traumatized by the "results" of the 2024 election, (like more than half of the population of the entire country!). I put results in quotes because I'm in the small percentage who believes, absolutely, this election was stolen; I believe that if all the legal votes cast by the American electorate had been tabulated, not only would Kamala have won, she would have won handily.
But not only did Elon/Putin and gang pull off another heist brilliantly, but they were able to do it so well they got the popular vote as well! This is the crucial difference. Dems feel that (collectively), we voted for him! Therefore, we deserve what we're getting! There's no fight. They believe we are in the minority, (unlike, say, the 2016 results).
I don't believe that at all. I believe at least 55% of all those that cast legal votes, voted for Kamala - or at the very least, against Drumpf!
So they're doing what people who are traumatized do: they're failing and flailing.
But that's just my humble opinion!
by Anonymous | reply 156 | May 11, 2025 8:03 PM |
R156 here back for a minute.
I forgot to add...the Drumpf people KNOW this. They know they cheated. They know they're getting away with it. They know we're doing nothing about it. Therefore, they're just steamrolling over us at a rapid pace. Yet still aware there is still evidence, they are doing everything as fast as they can, just in case or before someone does find evidence and starts to move on it. They're covering their tracks and disappearing any traces of evidence still left.
As for the laws, they no they're breaking them. They know what's left of our courts are stopping them. But it's only temporary. They need the courts' actions in order to continue with their plan; (one of them, anyway). To change the laws in their favor.

And most of the 1% love him because the economy tanking is great for them. They have gajillions of dollars laundered somewhere and as soon as most our businesses and services actually collapse, they’ll swoop on in and make more $$$ on the left overs.
Which, thru back door arrangements with countries like Russia and Quatar, the rubble of our lives will be spun into whatever these oligarchs want. And we’ll be out toiling in their fields and filling up the sweat shops that will be created for us formerly solidly middle class people. ( And lower class people too, although Dump or Leon may make some of them foremen.)

There's lots of blackmail stuff out there we don't know about. What we do know is that Drumpf was Roy Cohn's protege, and Roy Cohn showed Trump how to secretly record people (judges, for example) in compromising situations, keep it in the bank, and use it against them later. Think of all the videotapes Bill Barr must have confiscated from Jeffrey Epstein that is now somewhere in Drumpf's possession..
Did Epstein seriously kill himself, or was he suicided? It's my opinion that the Epstein case figures far more into what is presently happening to our country far more than people realize.

I doubt it will ever come to that. Russians haven't been banned from leaving their country in spite of the war, and even with their weaker passport and banking sanctions, it doesn't stop them from going most places. r213, over half of Canada is frozen tundra. What is tundra? A treeless area where the subsoil is permanently frozen. Most plants cannot grow under such conditions. The climate is extremely hostile to humans, and huge amounts of fuel would be needed to heat homes in such conditions. You cannot look at a map of Canada and imagine that all that land is as fertile as Kansas or as conducive to settlement as the east coast of the US. Most of eastern Canada is part of the Canadian shield - an area where glaciers have scoured off almost all of the topsoil. It is mostly bare rock and bogs. It cannot be farmed except for some dairy farming in a few places. It's possible to do some logging in some places, some mining here and there, some hydroelectric power generation in a few spots. Nothing that would support a large population.
Western Canada is extremely mountainous, limiting travel to certain flatter corridors. There is some very rich farmland in the prairie provinces, but those provinces are sparsely settled because water in the farm regions is limited and cannot support numerous large cities. What I'm driving at is that the habitable part of Canada that can actually support dense populations, where there are access to resources and infrastructure, is probably closer to the size of California or Texas than the massive country that you see on a map. It's a country with huge amounts of coastline, so there is some opportunity for development of ports and trade. And, yes, given time and a lot of development of infrastructure and transportation, Canada could probably support a population of 60,000,000 or even 80,000,000. But absent a gigantic global warming event that would wipe out all the glaciers on the planet and thaws the permafrost, it could not possible support a population like that of the US (340,000,000).

I certainly would, r227.
At the very least, I would disable voice recognition/voice to text, facial and print unlock. The cops can FORCE you to unlock your phone or unlock it FOR YOU, legally, if it’s set to facial/print unlock.
Disable the face/print unlock, clear your history and disable all recognition options.

True r229. The whore doesn't even pretend that she is anything other than a loyal cult member for Trump. Every other attorney general (maybe not John Mitchell?) at least tried to keep a little bit of distance because part of the job of attorney general is to investigate the administration if necessary. The initial group will meet in the barroom at Mar-a-Lago. Participants will include Pete Hepseth, Jeanine Pirro, Lindsey Graham, Rep. Michael McCaul, and Rudy Giuliani. The topic will concern promoting and celebrating ‘Sobriety in MAGA America’.

Trump tells Walmart to "EAT THE TARIFFS" rather than raise prices. Which is odd given he's been telling us all along that China has to pay the tariffs.
“Walmart should STOP trying to blame Tariffs as the reason for raising prices throughout the chain. Walmart made BILLIONS OF DOLLARS last year, far more than expected. Between Walmart and China they should, as is said, ‘EAT THE TARIFFS,’ and not charge valued customers ANYTHING. I’ll be watching, and so will your customers!!!”

I have been watching “The Sopranos Marathon” for the last week. The FBI storyline that weaves throughout the seasons is so interesting. The details, notes, teamwork. The need to “wait it out” for the information and building the cases. They gave the FBI agents light moments but never made them out to be fools. It really hit me on this rewatch how tragic The Donald’s disrespect for the work is. How on the mass firings across the country how many hours, weeks, years of irreplaceable work has been destroyed. It is really depressing. ……. I have also managed to miss the news about the Trump a tower and golf course in Vietnam. And he is the ass that gutted Meals on Wheels.

Damn, not even pretending any more. This is officially a pro-bribery, pro-corruption administration. I mean we knew that, but even so, the bluntness that yes, every element of the federal government is open for business, so to speak, is still shocking. I wonder when they will announce that there is no such thing as bribery per se, just bribery that doesn't benefit Trump and his supporters.

The top health authorities of the U.S. and Argentina are launching what they call an “alternative international health system” separate from the World Health Organization (WHO).
Thank goodness we're finally getting rid of the influence of the world's leading scientists and health care experts, and teaming with a country that ranks 37th globally in terms of health and health systems. Of course, the U.S. ranks 38th, so maybe we'll learn something

Trump has shifted his focus this week from his failed economics to his failed relationship with Putin.
You can tell it has riled Putin because his response was through his #1 confidant, Medvedev. Shit is serious when Medvedev mentions WW3.
Putin's only cards are his nuclear warheads.
Ultimately, Putin's last best offer, is HIM or NUCLEAR ANNIHILATION.

Loomer, the far-right activist and longtime conspiracy theorist, is best known for her outlandish rhetoric and for having the ear of President Donald Trump. “The White House is considering doing vetting on the social media accounts of foreign students. Sounds like a dream job for me. I would love to research foreign students all day and find an excuse to block them from coming into our country based on their radicalism,” Loomer wrote on X. “Sign me up,” she added. R450, it's easy to get exasperated, but for this to be reported people who were close to Musk while he was in the WH would have to agree to talk to the press. That's probably something they were very reluctant to do while he was still there. Plus, everything is going to hell in a hand basket; chasing information about Musk's drug use and bladder problems may not seem the best use of resources. But in this case Stephen Miller probably did go the NYTimes and give everyone cover to talk.
