She's too unstable and unreliable to be hired. She wasn't blacklisted by the Bells. Just fired from Y&R. I also highly doubt that Marc Cherry wanted to hire or even consider her for a role on Desperate Housewives and she missed the opportunity because her computer was in a storage unit (second divorce) and she couldn't check her emails and respond on time.

As if she hasn't heard of public libraries with free internet if you have a library card. Her second husband divorced her nearly 20 years ago. Yes he clearly screwed her over in the divorce but that house in Hawaii has long been sold. Someone else lives there now.

What does she want? The Bells to fire Jess Walton and give the role of Jill back to her, have a judge evict the current owner of her old house and give it back to her and then put her second husband in jail and give her all of his assets? She's tone deaf and out of touch with reality if she thinks she's going to get all of that back after all of these years.

Well, she's in another pickle now.

As I mentioned in the last thread about her, the trustee whom she owed money to for a loan against her condo gave legal notice that the condo was being put up for auction.

Well, after a two month postponement, that auction took place 5/13/25, and a sale was made. I took a print screen of the record from the STOX database (the company that handled this for the trustee).

Since this isn't a court-ordered foreclosure sale, I believe she can still extricate herself from this, but she has to act quickly and somehow come up with the money. She only has so much time to do that, though. The disclaimer put at the bottom of the STOX page for this sales record makes note of the California law covering that action for her type of property.

She may have to give up the Gelson's potato salad and switch to Ralph's (Kroger) plain wrap.

Besides the unpaid loan that resulted in the auction yesterday, the L.A. County assessor shows that she still hasn't paid any property tax on the condo since 2022. That bill is now over $14,000, plus there's the current year's taxes owed, which amounts to around $5000. The HOA of her building also has a lien against the condo for over $62,000 of unpaid HOA fees and penalties. That lien only lists what was owed to them for the three year period of 2020 - 2022. So with the monthly being around $1300 plus penalties, she probably owes them another $50,000+ by now.

They spent quite a bit of time at the Paris Olympics last summer, that was in between time spent in Italy and the French Riviera, Costa Rica, etc. .. R99 I can't know her financial situation, but I imagine that her social security makes up most of her income. If she actually had a bank account from her divorce settlement or previous earnings, she wouldn't be this far in the hole now. I don't see how she can possibly get herself out of it. Would Brenda be entitled to any help from her former actor's union? I know she has not worked in ages, but she was technically the number #1 actress from the number #1 show in 1987, even if it was only for a matter of weeks.

I know, I know, Y&R was tied for first place with General Hospital in 1987/88, and the show probably didn't officially hit number one until right after she left, but she is still a legend who (kind of) left an indelible imprint on the surface of daytime. I hope for the best for her.
