Weeks after the Ghost Adventures star’s wife Victoria Goodwin was arrested for allegedly trying to hire a hitman to kill him, Aaron shared his first statement with supporters about the ordeal.
“Thank you everyone for all the love and support through this emotionally trying time,” he wrote on Instagram March 22. “It has really helped a lot and I appreciate you all.”
The post itself—marking Aaron’s first since Feb. 20—featured a smiling emoji over a black background.
The statement marks the first time the 48-year-old has communicated directly with fans after Victoria’s March 6 arrest for felony charges of solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder, per inmate records obtained by E! News March 12.
In the weeks since, more information has come out about Victoria’s alleged actions and her communications with Florida inmate Grant Amato—the convicted murderer through whom she is accused of hiring after seeing him in the Paramount+ docuseries CTRL+ALT+DESIRE. The show detailed Grant’s plot to steal $200,000 from his family before murdering his mother, father and brother in January 2019.
Victoria, 32, and Grant, 35, allegedly exchanged romantic text messages, as seen in an arrest report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department obtained by E! News.
In the messages, which police say ended in October 2024, the pair discussed “how much they are in love,” per the filing. Victoria also told the inmate that “her husband ‘FH’ would not accept divorce.”
Victoria—who has pleaded not guilty in the case, according to Entertainment Tonight—also texted Grant, per the docs, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
Police say Victoria provided Grant with information about Aaron’s Ghost Adventures filming schedule, including location and timing. They also say she set aside $11,515 to pay the alleged hitman and that there were messages about an upfront payment of $2,500.
“He's asleep right now in the hotel room,” police say Victoria messaged the hitman. “I need to know what's going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?"
According to the arrest report, Victoria “denied wanting her husband to be killed” when confronted by investigators, adding she “did not remember” sending the messages in question.
While the alleged plot occurred in October 2024, police say they only learned of the plot after Grant’s phone was seized.
Aaron, for his part, filed for divorce from Victoria—to whom he tied the knot in 2022—on March 12, one week after her arrest.
