Kylie Jenner's Hairstylist Jesus Guerrero Dead at 34

Jesus Guerrero, a hairstylist whose clients have included Kylie Jenner, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, Rosalía, Jessica Alba, Demi Moore and Jennifer Lopez, has died. He was 34.

His sister Gris, 26, announced his death on a GoFundMe page Feb. 22.

"It is with a heavy heart that we let the world know that Jesus Guerrero has gone to heaven," she wrote. "He is a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more. Born and raised in Houston, TX to immigrant parents, Jesus learned how to work hard and dreamt of taking his skills to the top."

Sad. He was cute.

The message added, "Unfortunately, his passing came very suddenly and unexpectedly. Currently, his family is taking care of his personal belongings and accommodations to bring him home to Houston."

The cause of Guerrero's death was not revealed.

Unless she murdered him who cares?

by Anonymousreply 3February 24, 2025 5:20 AM

A sous hairdresser killed him. Maybe?

by Anonymousreply 4February 24, 2025 5:21 AM

drugs, what else could it be?

by Anonymousreply 5February 24, 2025 5:23 AM

According to a friend he died of pneumonia. He reportedly fell ill while on a gig and was too sick to travel; by the time he came home it progressed too far.

This scarily sounds like the early days of COVID.

by Anonymousreply 7February 24, 2025 5:45 AM

Hmmm, a 34-year-old man in his prime just randomly dying from 'pneumonia.'

by Anonymousreply 8February 24, 2025 5:47 AM

That’s drug-related pneumonia.

by Anonymousreply 9February 24, 2025 5:49 AM

Immunoregulatory effects of crack/cocaine and marijuana - Substance use and alcohol use are known risk factors for pneumonia in non-HIV-infected patients.

by Anonymousreply 10February 24, 2025 5:51 AM

My first thought was suicide.

by Anonymousreply 11February 24, 2025 5:59 AM

Pnp went wrong

by Anonymousreply 12February 24, 2025 6:01 AM

“Abandoned in a foreign country”? What does that mean? He was traveling with someone else and they left his dead body in the hotel?

by Anonymousreply 13February 24, 2025 6:18 AM

He looks like early 1990s Ricky Martin.

by Anonymousreply 14February 24, 2025 6:25 AM

What's the point of working for a billionaire if they won't pay your funeral costs?

by Anonymousreply 15February 24, 2025 6:38 AM

If he became ill in Dubai as R6's link suggests he could have received treatment at an emergency room there, but he may not have had travel health insurance to cover costs if he needed to be admitted to hospital. Medical evacuation and repatriation back to the US is extremely costly.

by Anonymousreply 16February 24, 2025 6:38 AM

He had a great pair of clippers but couldn’t live forever.

by Anonymousreply 17February 24, 2025 7:11 AM

I thought Dubai was supposed to have top notch medical care. Guess he didn’t have access to it. Sad.

by Anonymousreply 18February 24, 2025 7:34 AM

r11 Exactly. Junkie pneumonia.

by Anonymousreply 19February 24, 2025 8:18 AM

Dying is like sooo unprofessional.

by Anonymousreply 24February 24, 2025 10:48 AM

As long as it's not a new form of Covid.

by Anonymousreply 25February 24, 2025 11:26 AM

I am sorry that this handsome young man is dead and the cause and circumstances surrounding this will be made clear soon enough. I think it's safe to say there is something fishy with the sudden death of a 34 year old.

What is more troubling to me is the "Go Fund Me" stuff. Jenner can easily cover the expense of a burial and don't think momma doesn't see the opportunity for a little positive press. This could help to get the Yeezy stench off the family brand.

by Anonymousreply 26February 24, 2025 11:43 AM

He does have amazing hair. Or, rather, had. RIP!

by Anonymousreply 27February 24, 2025 12:37 PM

Seriously R26. The Jenner-Kardashian clan’s net worth is well known. They could drop $20k for a nice higher-end funeral and burial, and never even notice it financially.

by Anonymousreply 28February 24, 2025 1:31 PM

How big was his cock?

by Anonymousreply 29February 24, 2025 1:33 PM

Agree. Why isn't Kylie paying for the funeral? Also how does a person become a hairstylist to a celebrity? Is it seriously that competitive? Maybe you have to grovel.. why he was left in Dubai, why the gofundme.

by Anonymousreply 30February 24, 2025 1:43 PM

I would be very surprised if Kylie or any of her ilk pay for Guerrero's funeral expenses. He's the help. They will have forgotten him by the time their Instagram feed refreshes.

by Anonymousreply 31February 24, 2025 1:48 PM

The gofundme seems like a cash grab from the sister. If you are doing all these celebrities hair, you got money.

by Anonymousreply 32February 24, 2025 1:51 PM

He ran afoul of Pimp Momma and she had him taken out?

by Anonymousreply 33February 24, 2025 2:01 PM

Just because you've done hair and makeup for celebs, it doesn't mean that you make bank - depending on the gig. They could have been hired freelance for a few shoots that these celebrities happened to be on.

Being a personal hair and make-up person is different - but that's very rare.

And yes - here we go again - another person in Kylie's circle is having financial issues and she throw's up a link to a GoFundMe page instead of giving money herself.

The Kardashians go through $20k without even blinking an eye. How these talentless hacks have so much money and fame is beyond me.

by Anonymousreply 34February 24, 2025 2:04 PM

The Kartrashians are not known for supporting charities or being generous. They don't even try to pretend to be generous. The model sister, Kendall (?), is always on the "no tipper/bad tipper" lists.

by Anonymousreply 35February 24, 2025 2:32 PM

Kris Jenner appeared on a home improvement program in which she gave one of her friends a makeover for her house after the woman's husband died, which on the face of it is a very generous thing to do. I suspect however that as in similar programs all the products and labor are actually underwritten by the series production budget and/or donated by manufacturers so Kris would not have had to fork over any Kardashian loot personally.

by Anonymousreply 36February 24, 2025 3:03 PM

Everything the Kardashians do is paid for by someone else. Kris Jenner seems like a completely average woman in every way, but she’s turned out to be a business and marketing genius.

by Anonymousreply 37February 24, 2025 3:08 PM

how long was he sick before he died?

well there you go.

[quote] Medical evacuation and repatriation back to the US is extremely costly.

I contracted pneumonia once while on vacation and was fortunately strong enough to travel, though it was a day from hell. I really didn't cost more than a taxi to the airport and the flight. I did think at one point that I was fortunate to have the wherewithal to travel on a moment's notice. I can't say how awful it would have been to be on one's deathbed.

by Anonymousreply 45February 24, 2025 11:17 PM

R40 id like to think bitch was shamed by us

by Anonymousreply 46February 25, 2025 8:18 AM

Did he die in the UAE? It sounds like he was working for Jennifer Lopez in the UAE right before he suddenly died. I would have thought that it would have been her business expense to at least get his body repatriated back to the US.

[quote] Jesus Guerrero Was Working With Jennifer Lopez in Dubai Before Death

More details about Jesus Guerrero’s final days are coming to light.

Prior to his sudden death at age 34, the celebrity hairstylist seemed to have been working with Jennifer Lopez as she traveled to the United Arab Emirates, according to a post on Lopez’s social media.

In the Feb. 19 Instagram post, the “Let’s Get Loud” singer shared photos from the overseas excursion and tagged her glam squad, including Guerrero. J.Lo—who performed at Dubai's Coca-Cola Arena Feb. 18 before hitting the stage in Abu Dhabi Feb. 20—captioned the post writing, “Business trip.”

Guerrero, who worked closely with the Kardashian family, was later honored by Kim Kardashian in a heartfelt message on social media.

“Our great respect for the art of hair and make up has led us to meeting some of the kindest souls and made some of our bestest friends,” Kim wrote in an Instagram Stories post Feb. 24. “So when one of our glam family members passes away all of our souls are crushed.”

The SKIMS founder also singled out her youngest sister Kylie Jenner, who was particularly close with the late beautician.

“My heart breaks for Kylie and everyone who loved Jesus the way we all did,” Kim went on. “I’m praying for his family, his loved ones and the world beauty community who feels this deep loss of one of the most talented and kindest to ever do it.”

Khloe Kardashian later reposted her sister’s message, noting that the tribute was “exactly how we all feel.”

“We become family with our glam teams, and we share so much of our lives with them,” the Good American founder added. “We are also intertwined and in love with one another. This is such an incredible deep loss.”

Another fucking Go Fund Me call...why? How much to bury or cremate him? 5k? Money whores

by Anonymousreply 49February 25, 2025 9:00 AM

R49 I seriously doubt that cremation is allowed in the UAE (if, in fact, that's were he died). It's a Muslim country.

by Anonymousreply 50February 25, 2025 9:04 AM

He didn't die in Dubai. He did eventually return to L.A. and that's where he died.

by Anonymousreply 51February 25, 2025 1:51 PM

Is Kylie Jenner still in custody?

by Anonymousreply 52February 25, 2025 1:57 PM

Pimp Mama worked out some deals to merch the funeral.

by Anonymousreply 53February 25, 2025 2:26 PM

too sick to travel = sorry Typhoid Mary.. you ain't stepping foot on my jet. Love, J Lo.

by Anonymousreply 54February 25, 2025 4:53 PM

His sister provided more details. He was already sick when he went to Dubai and was advised to see a doctor while there. He did, but no one knows what the prognosis was, he came home went to hospital and died.

by Anonymousreply 55February 26, 2025 6:19 PM

In other words... J Lo cut the family a big fat check to spin the narrative away from her leaving him in Dubai. She posted a tribute to him on IG with the comments turned off. Shade!

by Anonymousreply 56February 26, 2025 9:27 PM

At least JLo is not afraid to pay out when she needs to. She’s not a cheapskate.

by Anonymousreply 57February 26, 2025 10:55 PM

Yes, I wonder if Jlo pushed him to travel and work with her, despite the fact that he was ill.

by Anonymousreply 58February 27, 2025 9:38 PM

JLO broke. Won't get any money out of her.

by Anonymousreply 59February 27, 2025 9:45 PM

She ain’t that broke.

by Anonymousreply 60February 27, 2025 9:55 PM

Kylie Jenner is a useless fucking WHORE CUNT.

She serves no purpose on this Earth.

by Anonymousreply 61February 28, 2025 8:15 AM

Kylie Jenner is paying for the funeral and Jesus wasn't working for her at the time of his death.

Now that that's cleared up, where and to who are the go fund me dollars going?

by Anonymousreply 62February 28, 2025 9:14 PM

[quote] Jesus Guerrero, Kylie Jenner's Hairstylist, Lost 20 Lbs Before Death, Complained of Chills

Celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero had lost 20 pounds and was complaining of chills and hot flashes leading up to his unexpected death, TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ ... Jesus had been feeling sick since September last year but continued with work commitments in Dublin, Ireland, as well as in England, and Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.

When Jesus got back to the U.S. from Dubai, he was driven to an L.A. hospital on February 21, and died the next day.

We're told there was no history of drug or alcohol use, and an autopsy has been completed ... but toxicology results remain pending.

Jesus' death was described as "sudden and unexpected" by his sister, and several A-List celebs he worked with over the years -- including Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez, and Katy Perry -- posted emotional tributes to their friend.

Kylie herself covered the cost of transporting Jesus' body back to his family in his hometown of Houston, Texas, and announced she’d pay for his funeral.

Did Jesus want her for a sunbeam?

by Anonymousreply 64March 7, 2025 1:13 AM

Celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero's cause of death has been revealed.

Guerrero, who famously worked with Kylie Jenner and Jennifer Lopez, died of severe pneumonia on Feb. 22.

According to a report from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, Guerrero contracted a lung infection in addition to Cryptococcosis neoformans, a fungal species. The report also listed Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome as a secondary cause, which the Mayo Clinic states is a chronic condition and can lead to a weakened immune system.

His manner of death is stated as natural.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Cryptococcosis is a "fungal disease caused by breathing in spores from Cryptococcus, a fungus found in the environment. The infection can affect the different parts of the body but usually causes lung or brain infections."

A go fund me page for what? So ylu xan inherit more of his estate if you dobt have to spend funds on fineral?

by Anonymousreply 67June 3, 2025 12:02 AM

So an opportunistic infection brought on by (untreated) HIV/AIDS? Why wasn't he on ARVs? A very needless death in 2025.

by Anonymousreply 68June 3, 2025 12:32 AM

SCTS.

Scumbag Celebrity Toxicity Syndrome.

You get to close to the creatures, you pay the price. Or in this case, the celebrities don't pay a dime.

by Anonymousreply 69June 3, 2025 12:38 AM

So he was sick for months...Lost 20 pounds but continued to travel the world?......You would think a gay guy in the "Hollywood" scene would of had a clue he was HIV positive

by Anonymousreply 70June 3, 2025 1:37 AM

Oh dear, that’s sad

by Anonymousreply 71June 3, 2025 1:38 AM

It is sad, but...

"an artist"?

He teased and dressed hair. Let's not raise a task to an art form.

by Anonymousreply 72June 3, 2025 1:59 AM

Sad. He was slowly dying of AIDS and it was 2024-25, not 1988… he could have gotten on some highly effective meds last Fall.

by Anonymousreply 73June 3, 2025 2:01 AM

[quote] He was slowly dying of AIDS and it was 2024-25, not 1988… he could have gotten on some highly effective meds last Fall.

Maybe he wasn't making enough money to pay for health insurance or meds, despite working for celebs.

Celebrities are the WORST, when it comes to paying decent wages to "staff."

They feel that it's just a privilege to work for them, and that's enough.

Fuck these cheap ass celebs.

That's why unions are needed. Even for stylists.

by Anonymousreply 74June 3, 2025 2:34 AM

R7 I’m getting my booster tomorrow

by Anonymousreply 75June 3, 2025 3:16 AM

I find it interesting that Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez attended his funeral, but Katy Perry did not.

They were all clients.

Another reason I hate Katy Perry.
