Some reviews think it's unrealistic that nursing home staff would turn a blind eye to Lithgow's sadism. These people have never spent time in a nursing home.

Lithgow and Rush should make a male version of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane/John?

I saw this in the theater about a month ago. Didn't really care for it but I admit I didn't understand whatever the filmmakers intentions were. Also a lot of triggering moments for anyone dealing with aging parents/relatives.

The scene with the catheter tube had me cringing. The horror of it is that eventually most of us will be dependent on strangers who are just there for the paycheck.

Definitely one of the most triggering scenes. My dad has a catheter and watching him deal with that day to day is hard enough without imagining a horror like what's in the movie

Part of the reason the movie was hard to enjoy. Our medical and elder care systems are horrific to deal with. Such a grim reality as we all get older
