She was besieged by paparazzi from birth. Her father died when she was only eleven, and she had no idea what a freak and a pedophile and a drug addict he was; she spent her teenage years nominally under Katherine Jackson's care and slowly learned what the rest of the world knew to be the truths about her father, which must have been devastating. The extended family she was part of (and the only one she knew) was deeply dysfunctional, with Joe himself around, her father's brothers remembering Joe's vicious physical abuse, and her father's sisters remembering other kinds of abuses endured from him; none of her father's siblings is psychologically healthy, and several of them loathe themselves so much they are addicted to plastic surgery like her father was.

Don't forget Paris also attempted suicide when she was 13 or 14 and they sent her to some inpatient treatment for a long time. She has huge trauma. I wonder if she is close with her siblings?

I think she just struggled with identity and it’s all understandable. I know she has a relationship with Debbie Rowe but I don’t believe for a moment that Debbie Rowe is actually her mother. I think Debbie Rowe was a surrogate.

None of the kids resemble each other, none of them resemble their parents and so that just has to be tough for a teenager.

She looks like a Real Housewife.

But aside from her drug addiction, all of the kids seem pretty chill. None of them seem like Michael Jackson’s kids at all.

Prince is a normal, chill, nice guy who attended college and is all in on recognizing and celebrating that he comes from American pop royalty. Paris is just a drama queen.

They grew up wealthy and MJ was probably a loving dad in his own unique way, but their upbringing was still weird as fuck. We know the Jackson clan are all pretty nutty in different ways. She was a daddy's girl and losing him was traumatic. Just because the boys didn't appear to struggle as much doesn't mean her pain was not real or that they all had the exact same treatment after MJ passed. Who really knows what all they went through? She reminds me of Lisa Marie in a lot of ways.

From what I have seen in my lifetime, the only drug that can destroy your looks when you are young and gorgeous is meth or crack. Otherwise, you can remain looking amazing and even healthy while addicted to anything.
