Members of Congress, the Supreme Court and other dignitaries have gathered at the U.S. Capitol for a lying-in-state ceremony for former President Jimmy Carter.

A Patriot, a Veteran, a Humanitarian and the 39th President of these United States.

On Thursday, Gerald Ford's son Steven (formerly a hot actor on "The Young & Restless") will read a eulogy that his father (who died in 2006) wrote for Carter. The Carters and Fords became close friends for 25 years after Carter left office, in spite of continuing political differences, and worked together on many projects. Carter gave a eulogy for Ford, as Rosalynn did for Betty.

He's not home. D.C. fucking hated him.
