I would say it was best it remained unaired. She was completely unknown until she appeared on Too Close For Comfort in 1980 a show that was itself mediocre.
She was also on The New Dick Van Dyke Show.

I'm only familiar with her via the ocr of 'Bajour.' I had no idea her name's pronounced Dew-Sew.

Bet this post was started by the Bonnie Franklin troll

I never liked her. Wasn't she also a hostess of a morning show for a while, with David Hartman?

r4 Yes, GMA.
She was also a well-known Broadway star.

If they wanted a show in the 70s about a Broadway star , they should have made "The Lauren Bacall Show." Every week, a different guest star would play a fan or underling to whom she was unspeakably rude.
Now I would have watched the shit out of that.

Karen and Nancy are still super close friends

Directed by Dick Van Dyke? How drunk was he?

According to the YouTube comments, this was up for consideration by CBS. The network only had two new sitcoms in fall 1973. Nancy could have aired at 8 p.m. Friday, against The Brady Bunch and Sanford & Son.

This show is a disaster. Not surprised it was ignored.

Sure, I'll marry someone and I don't even know what they do for a living....That seems a solid foundation for a character. Jesus. Male writers and directors...

R12, Nancy had more talent in one pinky than Barrie had and yet which one wound up always snagging the "and starring" credit on their respective sitcoms? One of showbiz's most baffling mysteries!

She may have been great on stage, but I don't think television was really her medium. She always feels forced.

A musical sitcom STARRING Karen Morrow—that might have been interesting. Dussault was very talented (she got the Tony nomination for Bajour! not Chita that time), but Morrow had the best belt on Broadway. And, unlike JoAnne Worley (who was also enormously talented), Morrow could play non-eccentric.

Too bad this wasn’t picked up. Karen deserved to be a bigger star.

According to Karen Morrow's Wiki page....
(1) she's still alive!
(2) she was friends with Nancy and worked on other shows with her.

I kind of like it. So many character actors. I never knew Nancy did a thing before Two Close. Like Bonnie Franklin with talent. Minus the nips and histrionics.

There really was a missed opportunity to have Bonnie and Nancy do a modern updated adult version of The Parent Trap, where both are camp counsellors, one shrill and unlikable and Bonnie's character even worse than that. They could have big blowout fight and have a song and (tap) dance off, before reconciling and discovering that they were long lost twin sisters and that their parents (Hermione Gingold and Walter Brennan) still hold a torch for one another.
