Jonathan Van Ness Cohosts WWD’s Eye on the Red Carpet in Christian Siriano Gown at Golden Globes 2025
Jonathan Van Ness picked an emerald green gown by Christian Siriano to cohost WWD’s Eye on the Red Carpet during the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday in Los Angeles. The “Queer Eye” star broke down stars’ beauty trends and routines throughout the evening with Beauty Inc. editor in chief Jenny Fine.

People are underestimating the impact of Biden’s debate performance. That was a Manchurian Candidate-level conspiracy reveal. Who the fuck has been running the country? And he’s STILL president. WTF?! Why wasn’t Harris sworn in the next morning?
The democrats are actually playing it smart - let people say it was trans issues (which, in the grand scheme, have an minuscule impact on most Americans’ lives) or “wokeness” or even that immigration did get out of hand. Because anything is better than, “instead of taking appropriate actions and ensuring that VP Harris was installed as president, we had a secret cabal running the country.” There isn’t much worse than that, it’s the height of corruption. And it had to have been done by people who understood the seriousness of what they were doing, whoever they were. Not crazy Jan. 6 randos. And yes, Trump bears responsibility for Jan 6, but people know that. It wasn’t covered up. He’s a known evil, not a “holy fuck how bad it is?” evil. That’s the issue that convinced lukewarm Harris supporters to stay home and nose-holding Trump voters to come out.

What's confusing to me is why rock the beard? I mean if you feel that you need to express your inner female side wouldn't you shave that off at least and adopt some more female centric hair styling and perhaps makeup? This whole gender divergent genre is not thought out well when it comes to styling and wardrobe selection from what I'm seeing?
To be honest when you look at your "fuckability index" this individual's style statement places him at a zero which is sad. I'm sure somewhere out there there's some men into men who wear evening gowns and sport a beard but I'm having some difficulty in believing that's any significant percentage.
I think this is driven by some PR people behind the scenes who are in their mid to late 30s zonked out of their minds on prescription benzos. These are the same individuals that were provided copious amounts of prescription ADD meds in the '90s their brain is fried the reasoning ability is skewed.
We all need to face it given the recent election results, the majority of the American population is extremely tired of this agenda and that includes probably somewhere between 50 to 60% of the LGB population. There are bigger fish to fry than being concerned about somebody's lowered self-esteem because somebody made a negative a comment about their inability to rock an evening gown with a beard is inconsequential.

I've said this here before, but I guess it bears repeating. I belonged to a very conservative women's organization (from which I have now resigned), and I and a quartet of 70+ aged women went out to lunch. They didn't GAF that I'm a lesbian -- but they were dying to quiz me on the transgender thing. And this was two years ago.
Don't tell me the right doesn't get upset about this issue, because I know they do, even if they've never encountered a transgendered person in their entire lives. And without a doubt, these women voted. Republican.

Again, I posit the men of Italy as knowing what it means to do gender fluid, androgynous dressing flawlessly - IF you are so inclined. My first link was paywalled. But scroll down to the singer Mahmood. This was his Sanremo 2024 look. Clothes are suppose to accentuate and highlight your better features. What he has on is a feminine silhouette but it accentuates his masculine arm and shoulder, it hugs his right pec. You see the male form underneath soft curves that are usually reserved for women. That is what it makes it interesting, You want to see the male form through what is typically feminine fabrics like lace and silk - not a shapeless frock.

84% of Americans polled said that they don’t believe biological men should be playing in women’s sports or in women’s space. If Democrats want to die on that hill, so be it. They will just keep losing elections. Gender dysphoria is a mental illness. It is never going to be normalized and the minute they began targeting children with drugs and sterilization, it was all over. Women don’t want to be called cis or have their government refer to them as birthing people who perform chest feeding. Democrats lost their goddamn minds. Meanwhile people can afford to eat and their cities are being destroyed while Democrats continue to play the pronoun, anti-Jew, and anti-white game. People have had enough. Of course trans issues weren’t the top issue with regards to voting for trump, but seeing blatant unfairness right in front of them and nothing being done about hits people in a different way.

And the question of the day comes from BoysTown in Chicago.
Why are the Dems and liberals losing so much support from young men, white, black, Hispanic?

R113 Every time the Dems lose it’s because they forget elections are an emotional appeal and reaction. People don’t live and operate by facts. I do however but most people don’t. And then when you add to the fact that American culture is so anti-intellectual well there ya go.

I can't believe I'm going to defend Billy Porter but at least he is a very talented performer. He can sing with the best of them.
His fame whoring and gender bending has basically left him broke and unemployable though.
This one is just trying to sell the sizzle but he has no steak. Or fashion sense.

I think people forget how America exploded when it thought a man beat up a woman at the Olympics. It might not have been the biggest issue. But it was definitely a hot button issue - a lot of emotional bang for the buck on that one.

R107, if ballgowns looked good on men, they would wear them. But they don’t. I don’t like the bottle green color, but apart from that the gown is trying to do what every other gown tries to do: flatter a female figure by accentuating tits, ass and a narrow waist. It looks awful on a man because that’s not what a man’s body is about.

Thank god we have never seen Carson Kressley in a gown or a skirt or anything of the such. He is a flaming queen, but he gets what looks good on him and other people. I would love to hear what he thinks of all of these shenanigans.

Jonathan Van Ness looks utterly ridiculous if not insane.
I happily correct people when they include me in this LGBTQIA+ nonsense!
I'm not a "queer", I'm GAY and am not cosplaying. Real girly men wear pants!

The thing is - Jonathan isn't even a fashion person - he's a hairstylist! WTF does he know? Carson Kressley KNOWS fashion - and has some of the best quips every time he's on camera.
This one literally just flops his hair and eoes Cardi B rrrrkkkkay?
Gays and lesbians - we need to take some of our stuff back. Close this open tent for those who just want attention and to make their whateverism center stage.
Things have gone off the rails with the non-binary, asexual, pansexual, 30 different genders bullshit. They use our kindness and acceptance as a weapon.
Time to start making some boundaries of our OWN.

R130 - somebody has to because we're being made fools of. It's not a coincidence that support for LGBT has decreased the past 10 years.
All of these special snowflakes with their attention-grabbing non-gender confirming outfits and makeup. And you can't dare to not 100% agree with the silliest shit they have on - or you'll be cancelled.
I'm supposed to say this pic is brave and heroic. All I see is some hairy man who is a 4 in looks trying to get some attention by wearing the most ridiculous shit you can think of.
People have done this before decades ago without being so political and serious about it. It's a wig and makeup - stop making it out to be more than it is.

What I don't get is non-binary is suppose to be the opposite of making a cultural male/female choice, it is eschewing traditional male or female binaries. Choosing to wear mascara, dresses, gowns, fake eyelashes is definitely choosing a cultural binary, whether you are a man OR woman doing it. Non binary is a Hanes t-shirt and cotton dockers.

R132 - there you go, using your brain again.
Obviously you're right - but they would say that wearing the opposite of what is traditional gender wear is non-binary because they aren't choosing either one.
Believe me - they've got some bullshit answer that will just fatigue you and make you give up cuz you can't be bothered with that level of foolishness.

I think a lot of women turned on the trans issue due to the biological men in women’s sports being publicized like Lia Thomas. I agree it is unfair.

R137 - not just that - it's the changing of language - people who give birth instead of pregnant women.
There's been a slow drip drip drip of stuff over the years - making women's sanitary products more man-like and changing the language so it doesn't say women's.
It's also just downright insulting to insist that trans women are women. Ok - then women are also trans women too? No - they are completely separate.
The overreach has been breathtaking - they've alienated straight women, most gays, lesbians and - let's face it - majority of straight men. I won't say all because if you look online, there ARE quite a few 'straight' men who are open to trans.
I have to think that the trans girls are easy to get and are DTF very fast. It's like a cheat code - you get a 'girl' who is tall, thinner (because they are men) who you don't necessarily have to chat up, take her out, or do other things.
I hate to say it - but I really think these 'straight' men see these trans women like that. They're like free hookers. Seriously.

R37 So what exactly is Kamala's stand on trans people? Is it concerning to right wingers and anti trans troll that they are allowed to even exist?!?!
We know that gender dysphoria is categorized as a mental illness and the only proven cure so far for most has been transitioning. However if regressive fucks like those who you parrot refuse to even allow any research other than Jesus wtf do you expect?
We all know the cure for gayness is cock.

R138 It's also the fact that women's crime rates are going up while their sports scores are going down. A sudden rash of women sexually assaulting people is so odd.

r129 I sometimes wonder if these type of gays never got over the trauma they received for liking traditional female stuff as kids. So they just go overboard with this cosplaying as female even though they aren't trans. I mean people should live their life and do what makes them happy, but he still looks absurd. There is nothing complimentary about that dress. Does he really think he pulls it off just because his hair is laid to the gods.

R144 - nah - it's attention seeking. Just like his over-the-top personality. He looks like he would be difficult to hang out with - loud, saying outrageous things, laughing WAY too much, etc.
It's an adopted personality - it's not real. We've ALL met queens like this. It's a cartoon - and it's fun for an hour, but annoying AF after that.
I had a friend who thought that saying cutting things and being bitchy was what being gay was all about. There are too many bar queens who adopt this outrageous personality at 21 or 22 when they first come out and then it becomes their personality outside of the bar too.
It definitely comes from insecurity - but it's just annoying and needs to be called out. You can wrap that shit up in cheap talk and phrases of 'living your best life' and 'let everyone be who they want to be' - but they aren't being themselves. They're being clowns and caricatures.
Buuut - I will say you can see some of the same thing among straight men and women, just in obviously different varieties. The 'tough' guy and the 'diva' comes to mind.

The “tough” guy and the Diva meet and join as one as a gay man with boots and head to toe leathers holds a single tail.
