I’ve had a persistent cough and general flu symptoms for a couple of weeks now. I was vaccinated for flu last winter. Just got swabbed over the weekend and have tested positive for HMPV.
There’s currently no treatment other than isolation so I’ve dug out my masks so that on the rare occasions that I venture out I’m unlikely to pass it on.
This one is currently surging in China.

I do get a flu shot yearly R1 - you’re assuming that I’m in the northern hemisphere, which I’m not.
My last flu shot was in July.

I used to shop at the HMPV shop on Oxford Street in London. They had a really great selection of cast albums on CD.
