British PM Kier Starmer tells Musk to fuck right off

"We have seen this playbook many times — whipping up of intimidation and of threats of violence, hoping that the media will amplify it," Sir Keir said.

"Those who are spreading lies and misinformation as far and as wide as possible are not interested in victims, they're interested in themselves," he added.

As well he should, along with others. Musk seems to envision a new political empire, the Muskoviam Empire. May he quickly come to the same end as most Emperors.

by Anonymousreply 1January 6, 2025 2:36 PM

Elmo hilariously fucked himself by saying Farage was not up to the job of leading the Reform party yesterday. Farage has been a figure for decades, knows how to work the British media, and has now been completely hobbled.

by Anonymousreply 2January 6, 2025 2:40 PM

Musk is an absolute psychopath. A vile racist and deeply ugly narc. I wish the very worst for him. He deserves nothing but the worst.

by Anonymousreply 3January 6, 2025 2:40 PM

Musk called Labour MP Jess Phillips a 'rape genocide apologist' who should be jailed. This morning PM Starmer mentioned she had duly had 'threats.'

Musk must be so proud of himself, not least for showing Trump how hard-core he can be. Trump's adversaries who mysteriously found they and their families were being threatened were confined to the US. Musk of course is keen to show his psychopathy effortlessly reaches across the Atlantic.

Musk is a human disgrace, a disgusting abuser of the power and wealth he has accrued. Power without responsibility. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. I thought Trump was vile, and he is, but Musk is clearly keen to show the world he can alpha-psycho Trump into second place any night of the week. Good luck, world, with those two grotesques at the helm.

by Anonymousreply 4January 6, 2025 3:32 PM

I see why Musk and Trump are buddies. Say anything slightly critical of either and they will turn on you instantly. Nigel Garage, who claimed Musk was a friend, stumbled through an interview trying to defend his posts on X accusing Starmer and others in his government of not doing enough to prosecute grooming gangs. He said his words were "harsh," but needed and tried to frame it as a "return to open debate" without being too critical.

Now Musk, who had considered funding Farage's Reform U.K. party, says Farage needs to be replaced as party leader. That is a quintessentially Trumpian move. Have your lips glued to my ass 24/7 or you are disposable.

Narcissism 101, writ as large as possible. All that money and power, and still they have skins as thin as sun-dried nonagenarians. Nearly 75 million voted Democrat. That's a lot of opposition forcefully to get under those prominent smug thin skins.

by Anonymousreply 6January 6, 2025 3:53 PM

No, he didn't. He was too chickenshit to mention Musk by name.

by Anonymousreply 7January 6, 2025 4:13 PM

No, he was too smart to give him the keyword SEO. He's already got enough.

by Anonymousreply 8January 6, 2025 4:15 PM

Also: This was an attack in Reform UK and the right wing media, not just Musk.

by Anonymousreply 9January 6, 2025 4:16 PM

so name we are on the side of rapists to own Elon Musk? Are there any values you gals haven't given up on?

by Anonymousreply 10January 6, 2025 5:47 PM

No, asshole. Starmer said it was lies , which they were, and you are dealing in them.

by Anonymousreply 11January 6, 2025 5:49 PM

Video of Starmer's statement. thanks for reminding me to post that, r10!

Oh, Hortense @R10, are you that Angry Superannuated Brit bartender?

by Anonymousreply 13January 6, 2025 5:52 PM

Starmer is a dork, but good for him. Fuck Musk and his bullying.

by Anonymousreply 14January 6, 2025 5:56 PM

Imagine being more upset about Musk than about 11-12 year old girls being gang raped. I’m guessing the “Hortense” troll has read nothing about this situation. Read the court transcripts and descriptions of the rapes, and then decide whether Musk calling out their failure to deliver justice to these young girls is worse than grown men stretching out a 10 year old girls anus, or having 4 dicks in her all at one time.

by Anonymousreply 15January 6, 2025 5:57 PM

r15 = bloody stool

by Anonymousreply 16January 6, 2025 6:01 PM

Best it, troll. If you really cared about young people being raped, r15, we have had threads about this wayyyyyy before Musk put forth his lies. You know what you're doing.

by Anonymousreply 17January 6, 2025 6:02 PM

BEAT IT.

[quote] "When I left office, we had the highest number of child sexual abuse cases being prosecuted on record," Sir Keir said.

r15 I know this must be difficult for someone who admires a keyboard warrior like Muskrat to believe. But real concrete action against these scumbags can be achieved by effective prosecution and action not just screaming about it on twitter

by Anonymousreply 19January 6, 2025 6:04 PM

If Musk came out against Hitler, the not on my watch gals would LOVE Hitler.

by Anonymousreply 20January 6, 2025 6:06 PM

[Quote] Oh, Hortense

The weekend’s over, Defacto.

by Anonymousreply 21January 6, 2025 6:07 PM

If Elon's so pissed off about child sex abuse, why did he reinstate the Twitter accounts of known pedophiles?

by Anonymousreply 22January 6, 2025 6:08 PM

Adrian Dittman has joined us!!

by Anonymousreply 23January 6, 2025 6:08 PM

who did he reinstate?

by Anonymousreply 24January 6, 2025 6:09 PM

R19 what you don't understand is Starmer was head of the CPS when they declined to prosecute these rapist scumbags. His failure condemned swathes of white working class girls to dehumanisation, hate crimes and rape. Either he chose not to prosecute or he's so incompetent he didn't know what his organisation was doing. Which do you prefer? Lie down with dogs get fleas Labour.

by Anonymousreply 25January 6, 2025 6:09 PM

Here's the parts you left out, r25:

"Describing child sexual exploitation as "utterly sickening", Sir Keir defended his record in office as DPP, saying he tackled the issue "head on".

"I changed the system because I could see some of the things that were going wrong," he told reporters.

While DPP, Sir Keir introduced a special prosecutor for child abuse and sexual exploitation to oversee convictions; changed the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) guidance to encourage police to investigate suspects in complex sexual abuse cases and brought in court reforms aimed at making the process less traumatic for victims.

Sir Keir said he also reopened cases, brought the first prosecution of an "Asian grooming gang" in Rochdale and called for mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse.

"When I left office, we had the highest number of child sexual abuse cases being prosecuted on record," Sir Keir said.

"The victims here suffered terrible abuse," he said, "and then they weren't listened to."

Phillips had also "done a thousand times more" to protect victims of child sexual abuse than those attacking her can "even dreamt about", he said."

by Anonymousreply 26January 6, 2025 6:12 PM

I knew the "grooming gangs" would become the right wing talking points when I heard one MAGAt I know in real life spouting them last week. He's extremely online and quick to test "Have you heard...?" conspiracy theories in real life as soon as he emerges from his Internet rabbit holes.

by Anonymousreply 27January 6, 2025 6:12 PM

Nothing says unpaid shill like half-assed r25.

by Anonymousreply 28January 6, 2025 6:13 PM

Labour is blocking a public inquiry into Starmer's tenure, while the ghouls on this thread emerge to regurgitate the same familiar diarrhea.

No cunt r27 not 'grooming gangs' rape gangs that poured petrol on a girl to intimidate her from coming forward, rape gangs that used a vacuum to expand a girl's private parts so she could be destroyed by multiple men, rape gangs that operated with immunity knowing the police would rather arrest a naked girl in a house full of men. The only reason they could operate and brutalize legions of girls since the 70s was because authorities were protecting them. Like Labour councillors in Rotherham sweeping everything under the rug. This is the BIGGEST human rights atrocity in the west in living memory, bigger than the Church and child sexual abuse. Of course the Labour Guardianistas of Datalounge would only care now it embarasses their party. People like you empower Pakistani Muslim men to rape children. By your silence, by your suffocating arrogance and your sadism calling itself kindness. Labour is going to implode for it's crimes against defenceless children. And nobody deserves it more.

[quote]I'm not wasting time reading whatever nonsense you wrote. I've said enough.

Well, at least we agree on something.

Fuck off with your manufacturer concern trolling.

by Anonymousreply 35January 6, 2025 7:00 PM

Later on Monday Yvette Cooper, UK home secretary, announced several initiatives to tackle child grooming gangs including longer prison sentences, saying “the punishment must fit the terrible crime”.

Grooming will be treated as an aggravating factor, which makes a crime more serious, when judges sentence offenders for specified child sex offences including rape.

Cooper also told the House of Commons the government would set up a new “victims and survivors panel” and it will become mandatory to report abuse via the imminent crime and policing bill.

Allegations that Starmer bears some responsibility for failings in bringing the grooming gangs to justice stem, in particular, from a case in 2009 when a decision was taken not to prosecute alleged perpetrators in the town of Rochdale.

Lawyers at the time believed the victim would not come across as reliable or credible.

Starmer had been director of public prosecutions for nine months when the decision was taken, but there is no evidence to suggest he was made aware of the details of the case at the time.

It’s very entertaining to watch Farage worshippers, who only days ago were basking in Musk’s approval, now ranting about foreign interference in UK politics.

by Anonymousreply 42January 6, 2025 9:26 PM

I'd like to buy Musk's death mask.

by Anonymousreply 43January 6, 2025 9:28 PM

Since Musk's interference with turning Twitter into a misinformation machine to help Trump in his election, he is now emboldened to think he can do whatever he wants

by Anonymousreply 44January 7, 2025 2:26 AM

So reactive, r41. I'll let Datalounge know about biased UK media sources if I want, whether I piss on your little disinformation parade of not. I'm sure you'll also hate that the BBC Verify report will piss on your little disinformation parade, too:

"The CPS was criticised for a decision not to proceed with a prosecution in Rochdale on the basis that it viewed the main victim as "unreliable" following an investigation between August 2008 and August 2009.

That decision was overturned later by Nazir Afzal in 2011 after being appointed by Starmer as the CPS chief prosecutor for north-west England.

Speaking to BBC Verify, Mr Afzal said that the view of prosecutors not to proceed to trial at the time was "if the police aren't happy that she will give credible evidence then we're not happy either".

He went on to say that he had reviewed and reversed the decision as "I believed what she [the victim] was saying".

And since r34 said the only voice that matters is survivors:

"A group of victims of gender-based violence has criticised Elon Musk for his remarks attacking Jess Phillips, saying the safeguarding minister had “devoted her life to fighting for women and girls”.

In a letter shared with the Guardian the seven women, including three survivors of the Telford sexual abuse scandal, came to the Labour MP’s defence and said that there was “no one in public life who has done more to support victims and survivors and to advocate for their interests”.

Their intervention came after Musk, the billionaire Tesla boss who is in line for a senior role in Donald Trump’s administration, posted on his platform, X, that Phillips should be jailed and called her a “rape genocide apologist”.

Starmer was fed a question which allowed the PM smilingly to paraphrase the swift turn of events on Sunday, as relished by 'Private Eye' above. Cut to Farage himself smiling wildly, what else could he do, as though pretending to enjoy an act at an old-time Clacton music hall. He looked like a pathetic old man, deeply out of his depth.
