Whoopi finishes up "Annie" at MSG and gets rave reviews for her work
Whoopi Goldberg will be gushed over when she returns to 'The View' Monday morning. The moderator joined the cast of the new 'Annie' revival at MSG for the past three weeks (her final performance was last night) and she has received rave reviews by nearly every critic, including the NYT. Seems like Whoopi was the right choice to play 'Miss Hannigan' in the revival's stop in NYC (Whoopi does not continue with the tour).
Before 'The View' went on Christmas break, two of her cohosts said they went to see Goldberg a few days prior when it opened, and she was terrific. Sara Haines asked her if she read any of the early reviews, and Goldberg said she doesn't read or want to talk about any reviews - good or bad - until her run is over. It's the way she's always done it so the reviews don't have any affect on her nightly performances. Well, she will be happy today reading the reviews from the past few weeks.

Here's all the reviews of Goldberg in "Annie". Maybe they can have each critic on the show for the month of February, smooching her ass during 'sweeps' period ?

Now that Whoopi's done, I wonder if they'll ask Meghan McCain to play the role once the revival hits the Washington DC area. She'll be a natural. Or better yet, maybe Melania ?
