Corn Soup (1 can of corn and milk, heat up)
Corn Fritters (add corn to Pearl Milling Pancake Mix and fry it in Crisco)
Sara Lee Chocolate Cake (cook under broiler until the icing fizzles)
The chocolate cake in particular sounds orgasm inducing.

She makes chocolate soufflé.

Is she trying to explode Mr. Brolin's heart?

The corn soup sounds disgusting!
All of it does, actually. Sara Lee cake??? I didn't realize Barbra was white trash.

Corn? When did I eat CORN?!?

[quote] All of it does, actually. Sara Lee cake??? I didn't realize Barbra was white trash.
Did you think she grew up in Greenwich, CT? She grew up lower middle-class in Brooklyn.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 5, 2025 6:58 PM |
Why would a multi-millionaire eat such white trash food? It's like something you'd eat if you were on food stamps.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 5, 2025 7:07 PM |
Was it a Sara Lee cake or a Sandra Lee cake?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 5, 2025 8:07 PM |
Disgusting.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 5, 2025 8:13 PM |
That does it! I'm not shopping in Barbara's mall. I might as well just go to the Dollar General.

A two ingredient corn soup
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 5, 2025 8:26 PM |
She also loved roast pork with mayo on a roll from goyim delis. This food really was 1950s Brooklyn working class cuisine. She mentions that her family never ate like normal people. Her mother would make a pot of something and they would take some, never sitting down to eat together.

R11 If she adds salsa, then it’s “Street Corn Soup”.

^^^^Barbra said she's moving to England.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 5, 2025 8:52 PM |
R7, she is white trash. She’s an uneducated moron. Her letters that she posted to her stupid web site years ago were a PR nightmare for her. She can’t write for shit. She’s in her twilight years. She won’t be around much longer.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 5, 2025 8:52 PM |
Barbra’s fat ass isn’t going anywhere.

My husband makes corn soup, but it's fantastic.
He doesn't use a can, though.

Why not just buy a can of corn chowder?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 5, 2025 9:06 PM |
Hungry? In those days, I was always hungry. Matter of fact, I still am.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 5, 2025 9:07 PM |
Because, R24, making your own soup is far superior to using a can. It's easy too.
You can adjust the saltiness and spice/herb level to your liking as well, when you don't use a can.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 5, 2025 9:08 PM |
R26 But she IS using a can. A can of CORN.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 5, 2025 9:10 PM |
...Blanche.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 5, 2025 9:10 PM |
Ina Garten isn't any better:
"The other day I had some friends over [and] I got an apple tart from Trader Joe's," Garten said. "I put it in the oven, it was absolutely delicious. I served it with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce that I warmed up from a jar."
Martha Stewart eats sweetened condensed milk from the can.
All these rich women eat like Sandra Lee in the privacy of their own homes.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 5, 2025 9:13 PM |
She has a filthy mouth on her. She uses it frequently around the house.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 5, 2025 9:15 PM |
Canned soups are LOADED with sodium. Just save yourself the trouble and shoot yourself in the heart.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 5, 2025 9:23 PM |
Apple tart and ice cream is not a canned corn with milk.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 5, 2025 9:27 PM |
R31 Guess you never heard of low sodium canned soup?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 5, 2025 9:28 PM |
Barbra Streisand can't afford a cook and I FEEL SORRY FOR HER.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 5, 2025 9:30 PM |
R33, that is an option, yes. But it's still optimal if you can make your own. Low sodium soups still need to have a lot of sodium to last inside a can for years....
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 5, 2025 9:33 PM |
R35 She doesn't even make soup. She pours milk into the contents of a can of corn. That is only soup by Barbra's definition of soup. I would risk my heart to have a can or corn chowder over that slop.
And what do you do when you eat her version of corn soup? You have to chew the corn, don't you? So do you chew each spoonful of "soup"? Or do you end up swallowing a lot of the kernels whole? There's a reason this isn't a popular recipe.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 5, 2025 9:39 PM |
*a can of

by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 5, 2025 9:40 PM |
It’s commonly known geriatrics DO NOT digest corn well.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 5, 2025 9:40 PM |
Poor Jim.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 5, 2025 9:41 PM |
That's why when making GOOD homemade corn soup, you use a hand blender, but first set aside some kernels so that you have a bit of texture, and then just a dash of cream, and garlic croutons, it's really great. It only takes 20-30 minutes to make too.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 5, 2025 9:43 PM |
Could you leave some on the steps outside?
by Anonymous | reply 42 | January 5, 2025 9:44 PM |
Martha Stewart said that she went to Babs house and got served something with Cool Whip. Martha said the Cool Whip was not bad.

If you fat lazy whores had read the article, you'd know she made that shit when she was poor as a teen and when she was starting out. Many of us have been there. It it hadn't been for Geno's 99 cents frozen pizza, hard boiled eggs, Little Debs and cheap whiskey, coffee and cigarettes, I never would have made it through grad school.

I would be shocked if I went to Ina Garten's house and she served a Trader Joe's tart and caramel sauce from a jar.

I maintain that a can of vegetable barley soup is just as cheap as canned corn and milk.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 5, 2025 10:22 PM |
R46 That;s because you don't think of her as a human being who doesn't live in the kitchen night and day.

She actually didn't grow up in a ghetto. It was a middle class neighborhood with many single family homes. The Vandeveer, where she lived, would eventually contribute to turning the neighborhood into a ghetto.

To be fair, in high school I worked for a nice restaurant in Austin and one of the favorite items on the menu was corn soup. It was essentially canned corn and half-and-half, sautéed with some sautéed onions and peppers.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | January 6, 2025 12:47 PM |
R62 - How does one "sauté" soup?
by Anonymous | reply 63 | January 6, 2025 4:17 PM |
The onions and peppers were sautéed first, then the corn and cream.
