I like Seattle gloom better than Oregon gloom. Oregon adds snow to the mix more often and snow isn’t my thing anymore.

I love rainy days if I can stay at home. Driving in it is okay, except my car is very low and I fear hydroplaning.

When I was younger I was exactly like you op. Now I love cloudy days and a light drizzle a few times a week but not every damn day. I live in the PNW and the winters filled with endless rain and clouds get really depressing. The clouds on their own aren’t so bad but the rain gets old.

Yeah rainy days are great if I wasnt planning to go out. Too many rainy days though can be depressing.

It doesn’t have to necessarily rain but I love overcast weather. Especially those days where the grey clouds have all those beautiful color variations and texture.

I could take three days of gloom to one day of sun.

I'm thinking of others with that allowance.

No. I used to enjoy cloudy and rainy days, but since moving to one of the sunniest cities in Europe, I've lost my taste for grey days.

Rain is welcome as rare and necessary - to a point. If it carries on for more than two or three days, I miss the sun. And if it's just grey, the misery of it starts to press down upon me after a day or two.

I used to draw strength from it, especially if it was colder.

Now the rain and cold just aggravate my arthritis.

I like the sun more than I used to but it physically hurts me. I am never going to be somebody who sits in it on purpose.
