by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 4, 2025 4:21 PM |
Aubrey Plaza has been around for years, has had a fairly sizable media presence and she's done some very well-known tv shows. Weird how anyone with even a passing knowledge of modern entertainment couldn't know who she is.

I’ve seen a couple of his movies. Definitely quirky, but good. I thought The Little Hours was really funny. This is tragic for her especially because they were both romantic and creative partners who worked together. There is no way to handle a suicide really, but Aubrey especially strikes me as a very sensitive and vulnerable person underneath that deadpan exterior. I cannot imagine what she is going through.

I can say as a child and teenager, I was very depressed about being gay.
I remember in my early 20s my co-worker bought a car he couldn’t afford and was struggling to pay for it. I remember telling him why not just spend a year saving up for a car like I was and he said “you’re gay it’s different”.
Now that I’m in my mid-30’s and I see my straight male friends dealing with their lives, I am so happy I won the gay lottery when I was born.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 4, 2025 5:53 PM |
People commit suicide for reasons other than depression. Look at that guy from Glee who killed himself because it came out that he was into kids. Some people do it because they have a physical illness that's going to destroy their quality of life. Until we know anything, and we may never know, it's hard to say what caused this.

Her name sounds like a destination - keep going until you reach Aubrey Plaza, then take the first left.

Do you bitches remember S2 of "The White Lotus" and Theo James's huge cock? (a prosthetic, sadly, but still) Aubrey played his best friend's wife, and she was the one who gasped – much like everyone on DL did – when his character dropped trou right in front of her.
She's probably still best known for "Parks & Rec," but most recently did the "Agatha" show. Also "Legion" a few years back. She's an indie type & has written and/or directed a few different things; "Ingrid Goes West" was one of the first depictions of the realities of "influencer culture" I can recall seeing (namely that "influencers" and whatever's on their IG profiles isn't at all what their real-life looks like - it's all a sham).
I think her final live-acting role aside from "Agatha" was her husband's last movie, which premiered at SXSW three years ago but wasn't picked up for distribution.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | January 4, 2025 8:33 PM |

Not necessarily.
Many families will also try to hide the details of a suicide if the suicide is messy (by gunshot, jumping off a high building, etc.).

Why do people come into threads and whine that they haven't heard of particular celebrities? Do they think we're supposed to care that they don't know who Aubrey Plaza is? I know DLers scoff at astrology, but both he and Aubrey's sun signs are Cancer. Their birthdays are three days apart. Cancer is a water sign that is known to be extremely emotional and intuitive. The crab is its symbol, and represents a softness encased in a hard shell--the exterior is tough, but they are very sensitive people at their core. Water signs in general are prone to depression.

Someone in here is arguing with me because I said Mediterranean Americans are more “ethnic” than white Americans and therefore, are less likely to be apart of the group of white American men who commit suicide.

The pair laughed while watching the NBA game from celebrity row at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Carmichael, who was dressed casual for the sporting event, was seen with his arm wrapped around Plaza, who wore an orange cap and black jacket.
The pair appear to be longtime friends and Carmichael, 37, is openly gay. Their reps could not immediately be reached for comment.

Suicide is horrid for the survivors but this seemed calculated to hurt her, take her home, block a career opportunity, etc.

DL favorite Jessica Savitch found her husband hanging in their house, grossly deformed. She then proceeded to truly go off the deep end.
At least one of her biographers hypothesized it was an R140 situation: He knew she'd be the only one who'd find him.

Jessica Savitch had a very tragic life.
by Anonymous | reply 146 | January 5, 2025 3:07 AM |
If you are hanged in a public execution, once the trapdoor opens and you fall "the force of the noose should break the victim's neck, causing immediate paralysis and unconsciousness." But if you hang yourself, you likely don't fall far and fast enough for that to happen, I wouldn't think, and you're basically being choked to death by the rope for a few minutes. That's a bad way to go
Honestly I think a fentanyl overdose is the best at home option

by Anonymous | reply 151 | January 5, 2025 3:28 AM |
R150
"What happens to someone physically when they overdose on fentanyl?
Fentanyl acts on multiple organ systems in the body. It can act on the brain, so a patient who has overdosed on fentanyl can continue to fall asleep. They may fall unconscious. Most important is the effect that fentanyl can have on breathing. Fentanyl can cause you to slow or even stop your breathing and that is what can cause a patient to actually pass away from lack of oxygen."
"How quickly, from the point of ingesting, can someone begin to show these symptoms of a fentanyl overdose? Depending on the amount of ingestion or the strength of ingestion, and the potency of the amount that was ingested, it can happen in a matter of minutes."
Of all the horrible ways to go this is a not so horrible way I think.

It seems like he one of those "I can't live without you" types, and they are always the most tragic of human beings. Never ever make your partner your whole world because humans are notoriously flakey no matter how well the relationship starts off. Even in the most loving, stable relationships, it's healthy to have an outlet outside of the relationship. Becoming emeshed with your partner to the point of losing yourself never ends well. Some cryptdwelling DL eldergays will DIE ON THAT HILL about all the miscellaneous white Europeans who were not considered white, apparently into the 1970s. Meanwhile for the vast majority of Americans, this all faded between WWI and WWII and quite disappeared in the 1960s. The idea that an Italian, Jewish, Irish, (or French Canadian - bizarrely mentioned, since they are afterall FRENCH), Portuguese, etc etc, doctor or engineer in the 1960s was not considered fully white is risible. Irish and Catholic Kennedy was elected to the Presidency in the early 1960s.

R230--R233 here. His name was William Santor and his media production company was under investigation for fraud going back to 2016. He was meant to appear in court on Jan 25th. He knew the shit had hit the fan and there was no way out. Apparently he offed himself a week before Baena did, it just didn't hit the press til 2 days before. Here's a comment from a short reddit thread I just found:
"Yes, I have been following the court documents it's ongoing now here in Toronto, Canada. I'm not sure why this story hasnt been picked it up by the local news. It's right out of a Dateline 20/20 type of show, surreal. January 25th is the date in front of the judge for sentencing. Hence, his unaliving himself, there was no way out. The court docs implicate him and his wife, too. Both were enriched. They froze all their assets due to the Mareva order and his wife was forced to sell her vehicle and sell their condo to pay their lawyer according to the court docs. Santor "allegedly" registered domain names of real film companies and altered it slightly along with fraudulent Gmail accounts of the CEOs from those companies. He also drafted fraudulent deal memos and put pressure on a distributor to cosign. If you want to read them, google William Santor court and the kvs docs spell it all out. Pwc did a forensic investigation. Apparently, he has been doing this since 2016 😬"

Your history SUCKS. Of course there were white ethnicity bans in neighbourhood covenants dating from the late 1800s until the WWII. But the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 1948 that racial covenants were unenforceable. NO need to wait until 1968. You are taking a very very limited vestige of prejudice within the "white race" and saying it was a generally accepted truth in the 1960s and its total hogwash. I suppose a Jew could have been blocked at certain country clubs and select gentlemens clubs in the 60s. And there were probably quotas at the Ivies. For Irish? Doubtful. Show me the intermarriage among white ethnicity data, to prove there were generally accepted "lesser" whites. But, feel free to die on your hill. But your history is selective and quite shit.

[quote] At the time of his death, Santor had been suspended from his role as CEO at Productivity following allegations about "financial mismanagement," first reported by The Hollywood Reporter. According to that report, Productivity Media had placed Santor on a "temporary leave of absence" while an auditor was brought in to check its books and review loans.
[quote] The company was later placed into receivership and auditors stated in legal filings that Santor had misappropriated more than $44M from Productivity through an "elaborate scheme" of "fictitious loans to artificial companies.”

Get a grip, r243. You need to unclench. This isn't an academic environment. I didn't ask you for a fucking peer review. Now, stop derailing this thread.

r65 doesn't know the difference between VPL and just a bulge
by Anonymous | reply 246 | January 6, 2025 2:55 AM |
indeed 🤡. But these "not white white" cryptdwellers really stick in my craw. As annoying as the pearl-clutching prisspots over uncut dick.
by Anonymous | reply 247 | January 6, 2025 2:56 AM |
R246 that's his cock, hun. A bulge, that is in fact, a cock.
by Anonymous | reply 248 | January 6, 2025 2:56 AM |
R245 you started the academic treatise, hunty. With your school marm lecture that you know history and I don't and your shit quotation of 1968 when the more important date for "covenants" is 1948. But do carry on projecting your twat sanctimoniousness and your hypocrisy.
by Anonymous | reply 250 | January 6, 2025 2:59 AM |
You really are committed to your own misery, aren't you?
by Anonymous | reply 251 | January 6, 2025 3:02 AM |
r248 Right, no one said otherwise. It is not, however, VPL.
by Anonymous | reply 252 | January 6, 2025 3:04 AM |
You're committed to diverting from the fact you're full of shit and I've called you out.
by Anonymous | reply 253 | January 6, 2025 3:05 AM |
No, darling, you read something else into what I said and it went down this big fucking spiral of bullshit because you just want to be right right right and I was trying not to derail this thread.
Frankly, there are better things to be called out about. I don't give a fuck about your little snit
by Anonymous | reply 254 | January 6, 2025 3:06 AM |
R244, you made me cackle.
by Anonymous | reply 255 | January 6, 2025 3:33 AM |
I suspect the director’s offing himself had more to do with marriage issues and mental health struggles, not white collar crime, but time will tell. Coincidental timing for sure.
by Anonymous | reply 256 | January 6, 2025 3:37 AM |
Who the f*ck are these two idiots who are fighting over this shit that has NOTHING to do with Jeff Baena's death? Put them on mute and this thread becomes enjoyable once again about thew death of a middliong hot, lopsided smiling guy who HANGED himself.
As Joan Crawford would say, "Let's go!"

I read a post on Crazy Days and Crazy Nights a few days ago. The entertainment lawyer said 50 year old William Santor financed multiple Baena's movie projects recently killed himself. He has been under investigation for $44 million being missing from his finance company. He mentioned in the post that it might or might not be related.

r259, THAT'S completely NEW information!!!
by Anonymous | reply 260 | January 7, 2025 8:27 PM |
Crazy Days and Crazy Nights is a fake web site. It’s the Weekly World News of the web. The owner is a pervert and a MAGAt to boot. Quit bringing that shit here.

Aubrey murdered him.
by Anonymous | reply 262 | January 7, 2025 8:30 PM |
R262 It'd need to be a contract.... she was in NYC when he offed himself.
by Anonymous | reply 263 | January 7, 2025 8:40 PM |
R259 I'm surprised CDAN didn't like the suicides to some secret child molesting cult, which is one of Enty's favorite things to do.
by Anonymous | reply 264 | January 7, 2025 9:06 PM |
^Link, that is.
by Anonymous | reply 265 | January 7, 2025 9:09 PM |
CDAN will probably wait a bit before trying to make it seem like Baena and Santor were involved in human trafficking or sex crimes and knowing CDN he will try to say that Aubrey Plaza is involved in nefarious activities. Wasn't CDAN trying to claim that Chelsea Handler or some other female celeb was involved in trafficking?
by Anonymous | reply 266 | January 7, 2025 9:14 PM |
R266 Probably. I remember when Anthony Bourdain died and Enty tried to link his suicide to a child sex ring his fiancée was allegedly a part of.
by Anonymous | reply 267 | January 7, 2025 9:16 PM |
I forgot about the Bourdain and Asia Argento crap CDAN spewed back then. I think CDAN is waiting for Plaza to speak out more or maybe other stuff to come out on the white collar crimes of Santor.
by Anonymous | reply 268 | January 7, 2025 9:23 PM |
CDAN isn't ALL fake....he does post some dish that is real. And, he (or one of his sources) obviously checks out DL. There's been stuff posted in here that ends up on CDAN.
by Anonymous | reply 269 | January 8, 2025 12:15 AM |
R269: My stuff and that of other DLr’s among others. No one @CDAN “checks out” what they see here in terms of fact checking.
He/they see stuff here and they steal it. No verification is attempted let alone done.
