I went to a psychic once. She even made a tape of the session and gave it to me.
She was wrong about pretty much everything but it was a lot of fun.

Then she wasn’t a real psychic. As a real psychic I loathe how we are constantly mocked.

No, but I would do it for fun.

Yes, in Cassadaga, FL and it was really accurate

I used and abused a psychic

Not seeing what would be fun about a visit to someone who says they can see the future. How would it be fun, I’m wondering.
And why couldn’t the psychic predict the stock market?

I've been going to psychics since I was a teenager, I'm 58 now. The most accurate ones I've ever had a reading by was Touching Souls. Cheryl and Kimm are mother/daughter mediums and they were both accurate. They're in Utah but they do phone readings.
Everything they said came true.

I went to one, once. She only told me a few things, but all of them came true.

R5, I don't think psychics claim to see the future. I think they "read" you in those sessions and then advise on what to do or not to do based on your observed personality traits during the session.

I went to one years ago in Honolulu, she was this tiny Vietnamese lady, you had to wait in line in her living room & they would call you in when it was your time. It was crazy, she shuffled some cards & laid them out, looked @ me & started telling me about my life, my family & a guy I was seeing @ the time. Scarily accurate. Down to what was on my BF's license plate IN ARIZONA!! Wonder if she is still around, her name was Lan or Lon Vo, lived in Kaimuki. Made me a believer for sure!

I went to one in Worcester, MA from the mid 1990s - 2017 (she retired). She was the real deal. Sometimes the readings didn't make sense at all, but she gave me everything on a recording. Every month I would listen to the recording, and little by little - everything she said started making sense / was happening in my life. (I would go to her every nine months or so).
I'll never forget when I closed my business in June, 2011 I waited to go see her - waited until the summer of 2012. Right away she picked up on the fact I had closed my business and was looking for work. She then said I was going to be offered a great job that I was going to love but I needed to be patient - it wasn't coming my way until the end of 2013. She asked, 'Are you looking to work in a bookstore ?' I said 'no'. She asked if was planning on returning to school in the future - I said no. She kept seeing I was going to be working with books (she saw me surrounded by books) and I would be going back to school to get another degree. She kept seeing me walking on a college campus. I still have the tape, and she said 'there's something inter-twined there between the college and the job where you're surrounded with books'.
In October, 2013 a very good friend of mine who worked at a nearby university told me he was talking to the library director, and they had a position open which would be perfect for me as a library assistant. I applied, interviewed and was offered the job all within a matter of weeks. I started the end of November in 2013. I had to 'walk across the campus' from the parking lot to get to the campus library. For the longest time, I loved that job (I grew tired of it after ten years, and left the end of 2023).
THAT was just once where she was on target, but I had no idea what she was talking about at the reading. Many more stories to share...

Yes I did once. At a crucial time in my life, too. I already knew the answer to what I was asking. She was wrong and so was I. I spent $40.00 and learned a very hard lesson.

I used a few of them. Some started out accurate-ish and then flopped. Others came in varying shades of truth. The last one, a couple of years ago, was accurate. Her name is Cindi Sansone-Braff.

I saw one who used tarot cards and what she said about me was accurate. She didn't really predict my future though.

I received a gift reading from a friend, the psychic was so bogus. She said "Why are you here?", I told her I was looking for any information that she could give me. We went back and forth because she was trying to get me to feed her with something she could build on. She said that I recently lost my job, answer no, then you are worried about losing you job, again the answer is no. Finally she settled on my brother would soon receive a traffic ticket. I noticed she had a plastic "crystal" ball on a chair with a roll of paper towels and a stack of old newspapers.

I find it all entertaining, but I can certainly predict my future based on my choices, more than a stranger can, and even then, we have zero will in regards to the randomness of life.
I wonder how many of the victims in the NOLA terror attack saw a psychic who correctly predicted that they’d be killed by a stranger driving a truck into a crowd they’d be a part of?
Probably none.

Yes, out of boredom at a fair. I thought that they'd be full of crap.
Straight off the bat she said something that could not have been from a cold reading. It was very personal and did not relate to a dead relative or friend trying to get a message through or someone close to me having an illness.
I can't remember what else she said because her initial statement had me in shock that she had a gift. I went in as a skeptic. I don't know what I am now.

They are real. Some of em anyway. Easy to get swept up with a few targeted hits that no one would know. But in the long run is it really worth it?

Yes, in a tiny town in NH right over the Mass line. She smoked like a chimney and was frighteningly accurate.
She was right about everything.

I was in college in the middle of my term. A lady was invited to speak to us. One of our students in the class had a mother who was a psychic. She spoke to us about her past. She said only her and her sister had the gift in her family. We broke for a few minutes and she asked if anyone wanted a quick reading. I went up and she told me I was getting ready to take a trip. Well, it was winter and I was in the first part of the term so I knew this couldn't happen. Well, a few weeks later I was taking a trip to Jacksonville Florida to deliver a car to my older brother and picking up his which would be come mine. I have gone to her 5 times over my lifetime and she gave me other information that was correct. She died in 2023 at age 99.

I will share another story about the psychic in Worcester, MA I used to go to...
The last reading I had with her was in the summer of 2019 (she retired from doing readings shortly after). She never went straight out to tell me someone in my life was going to die, she always hinted at it (after the person died, I would listen to the last reading I had with her and again, everything fell into place). So on this day in early June of 2019, she told me my dad was going to die within a year. (I never told her whether my dad was living or deceased, so this intrigued me).
She told me that my dad was going die from a respiratory illness, but she ruled out lung cancer, pneumonia, etc. She said she couldn't figure out what it was but it was going to be fatal, and it was something which didn't have a cure. I tensed up, and she told me that she had been seeing this in a lot of readings the past few months and admitted she was baffled by what this respiratory illness was. She said he wasn't going to suffer, he would pass within a few days of being infected. On the hour drive home, I was telling my friend and she kept saying "She's probably wrong...don't dwell on this..." My friend also reminded me my dad was a healthy 87 year old, hardly ever sick a day in his life an on no medications. I have to say she was very comforting on the way home, but for the next year I kept my eye on my dad and tried to spend as much time with him as possible (he lived at home with me, and we got along great).
Sure enough, at the end of May, 2020 he was diagnosed with COVID and passed away a few days later. After the funeral, and everything settled, I told my sister about the reading (I didn't tell her a year earlier as I didn't want her to worry). I also reminded my friend about the reading I had a year earlier - she had forgotten all about it.
My stories to share next time...

A new friend took me to her church which featured a spiritualist. We had to bring a flower to the meeting and leave them at the front. When the spiritualist picked up mine she predicted cars in my future. I had met the new friend in training in a call centre booking taxis. I hated that job. The friend quit after the training and before having to take calls on the floor. She was smart.
