Can’t wait to see how the stand spin this one.
Not selling enough tickets Chalatrashian?

I want my vision back.

Only one rat can win and it’s going to be me!

Here’s how they spin it, OP:
[quote]Bro spent 5 years becoming Bob Dylan. Probably a very emotional moment to release this project into the wild. A well deserved moment of reflection, introspection and catharsis. Congrats TC!

Turgid.

Very homosexual behavior
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 24, 2024 2:34 PM |
I’m surprised actors do stuff like this anymore when everything will be meme-ified and ridiculed for forever. I can already imagine someone editing around his stick bug power dance moves.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 24, 2024 2:39 PM |
What an ugly narcissistic prick.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 24, 2024 2:40 PM |
I’d like to watch but the format can’t be scrolled forward and I ain’t sitting though the whole thing.

Nobody’s tired of this fag?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 24, 2024 2:41 PM |
He is technically not done with the film
He is done with the film on Oscar night
This self-destructive behavior suggests he does not want to go through with the stress of campaigning and is bowing out
Unfortunately this is a huge insult because he is expected to not just promote the film for Awards Season, but for its theatrical release. A big FU to the studio and filmmakers.

However, there were signs that Chalamet was suffering from the stress of this movie - reports of uncharacteristic diva behavior
He may not have felt little passion for the role but was under immense pressure to recreate Dylan
Biopics aren’t for everyone because there is a strong emphasis on mimicry and a lot of actors don’t want to mimic, they want to create their own characters

R4, even if Bob Dylan was in his twenties, I don't think he;d be dancing to the Black Eyed Peas.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 24, 2024 3:03 PM |
It is a hype video. No explanation needed.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 24, 2024 3:10 PM |
Social media is already a wasteland. Timmy literally abandons it for 12 months out of the year, then has to go crazy to sell his performance. Most other celebs do the same thing because social media is so scrutinized now. They all have finstas where they can like photos of other guys and silly stuff without the public finding out. Meta is more than happy to turn IG into a human-free advertising platform.

I don't know her.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 24, 2024 3:12 PM |
I'm so proud of TimCha. Just a good guy and a great actor. Always so present.

R4, he didn't spend five MINUTES becoming Bob Dylan. They're fucking delusional.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 24, 2024 3:21 PM |
I’m assuming that many of you missed the part where he takes the guitar and smashes it to pieces
This isn’t a hype video
He is washing himself of the role and the awards campaign he was expected to do
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 24, 2024 3:24 PM |
Yes—the awards campaign is something he’s expected to do for others. He has no interest in silly awards. He’s above all that.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 24, 2024 3:26 PM |
Yes, the awards campaign is for others if he’s not expected to win.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 24, 2024 3:29 PM |
He is a lock for the Oscar win for Best Actor. There is no other performance even close.

[quote]However, there were signs that Chalamet was suffering from the stress of this movie - reports of uncharacteristic diva behavior
It's not uncharacteristic at all. He was a prick on the set of Wonka, and there's been multiple stories of him being a douchebag at film festivals including on video at Cannes where he blanked a PR aide who was trying to get him to stand aside for a series of photos, and again at the red carpet where he made his co-stars stand and wait will he signed autographs and posed for photos, the indoor smoking and tapping ash on people below at a concert, etc.

There's the fangirl spin
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 24, 2024 3:42 PM |
^it was sarcasm.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 24, 2024 3:47 PM |
r25 Sorry about that, your impersonation of a fangirl was too convincing!
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 24, 2024 5:59 PM |
Is he dancing with knives yet?
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 24, 2024 6:35 PM |
Eh, it was a scripted , choreographed live streaming. It's probably even taped earlier and then streamed 'live'.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 24, 2024 6:47 PM |
r28 That doesn't answer why though.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 24, 2024 6:55 PM |
It is a hype video! Damn!
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 24, 2024 7:47 PM |
So he's the kind of person who makes a hype video for himself? Not for a project but just about him? And his fangirls still try to pretend he isn't a raging asshole?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 24, 2024 7:52 PM |
"He worked so hard on it so he should be rewarded."
The cretinous egotist can't act, can't relate to other actors on screen, cannot project hubris, and thinks that static facial expressions bespeaking lobotomy are how to convey active thought and feeling.
