Germany might elect a "far-right" Lesbian as its next Chancellor
She's the Chancellor candidate for AfD (Alternative for Germany) which is neck and neck with the CDU in the polls. Weidel would probably need the support of another party to be picked as Chancellor because of Germany's multi-party system. Elections are expected in February.
Weidel always wears comfortable shoes, non-descript boxy pant suits and skirts, and it appears like she cuts her own hair. Which are her traditionally lesbian traits. She's civil partnered to a woman from Sri Lanka with whom she has two children.
She blames NATO, the EU and the US for the Russian-Ukraine war. She wants better relations with Russia and Putin, who she thinks is misunderstood.
She opposes "gender ideology" and puberty blockers.
She has said she cried tears of joy when Donald Trump was elected president again in Novemeber.
She is calling for mass deportations and "remigration" the stripping of passports and citizenship of certain people of migrant backgrounds.
She wants to turn Germany's nuclear power plants back on.
She opposes same-sex marriage, favoring instead civil unions.
She doubts Global Warming.
Margaret Thatcher is her idol.

This being Datalounge and posters' best friends being hyperbole, of course OP doesn't shy away from it either. There is no poll that shows the AfD neck and neck with the CDU. And not one other German party intends to form a coalition with the AfD. So as bad as the situation is, and as difficult forming a coalition will be in January, Germany might not elect Weidel as chancellor. There is just no path for her. It is more likely that the Green party's candidate would become chancellor. Most likely the CDU candidate will lead a coalition - if je doesn't fuck it up.

There are several reasons why relying on anonymous commentary from message boards regarding racial and immigration issues might not be a good idea:
Lack of Accountability: Anonymity allows individuals to express views without facing social or professional consequences. This can lead to the spread of misinformation, hate speech, and harmful stereotypes without any accountability.
Potential for Malicious Intent: Extremist groups and individuals often use anonymity to promote divisive ideologies and spread propaganda. Message boards can become echo chambers where these views are amplified, and unsuspecting users might be exposed to radicalizing content.
Bias and Misrepresentation: Anonymous posters might not represent the broader public opinion on these complex issues. Their views could be skewed by personal biases or experiences, leading to a distorted and inaccurate picture of reality.
Difficulty in Verification: Information shared on message boards, especially by anonymous users, is often difficult to verify. This can lead to the spread of rumors, conspiracy theories, and unsubstantiated claims, further fueling prejudice and misunderstanding.
Instead, consider seeking information from reputable sources such as:
Academic research and journals: Peer-reviewed studies offer in-depth analysis and evidence-based insights into racial and immigration issues. Government reports and statistics: Official data provides a factual basis for understanding demographic trends and the impact of immigration policies.
Non-profit organizations and advocacy groups: Organizations working directly with immigrant communities or focusing on racial justice often publish reports and educational materials based on their expertise and fieldwork.
Reputable news outlets and journalism: Seek out balanced and fact-checked reporting from established news sources that adhere to journalistic ethics and standards.

I believe there is a very large difference between Latino immigrants and Middle Eastern immigrants in Europe.
First, the Latinos are Christian and assimilate into US culture within a generation. Yes, we've heard about people being here for 20 years who dont speak English well - but that's more of a failure of resources to provide ESL training along with large Latino communities where you can get by without having to speak English.
Second, Latinos will go where the jobs are - slaughterhouses in the middle of Iowa, agricultural labor in non-urban areas, etc. They just want to work.
The Middle East migrants? No, they want to pick and choose the country, then they want to be in only certain big cities, they want to put up mosques that blare out that call 5x a day, they think the Western culture is degenerate and preach against it, many don't want to do work that they don't like, etc.
They bite the hand that feeds - THAT is the problem. I don't see Latinos doing that at all. I'm not saying there aren't Latino gangs and some problems, but they certainly don't shit on the US and have preachers that demonize the US and its values.
The last Latino terrorism act was....????

So many Western countries have made living so expensive and having children a burden, they look at the birth rates and go - we need to have more immigration.
Ok - so now there's MORE people fighting for the same limited resources plus we have to pay for all the services for these immigrants - meanwhile the middle and lower class people get no life improvement.
It's a recipe for resentment and for fighting. It's really as simple as this. Massive wealth inequality, lowering standard of living, plus more immigrants - some of whom are hostile to your country's values and traditions - it's all going to blow up.
Then EVERY government talks about how immigration is a net positive to a country's economy. Oh really? Well, when the benefits of the economy is tilted to go only toward the upper 1% - then it's a false argument because as sure as shit, it's NOT helping the middle and lower class people.
The only thing I see are more restaurant options - and I'm not being funny.

Hamas supporters marching through German Christmas markets shouting allah akbar is tolerant and respectful, especially when done after a muslim killed 5 and wounded 200 more at another Christmas market. Only one group is doing this shit...globally.

Thanks R99. Much appreciated.
This is what the article says: "[bold]According to recordings on social media[/bold], young men chanted "Allahu Akbar." The police in Stuttgart confirmed a demonstration with 3,000-5,000 participants. The recordings are being analysed, and the chants are being translated and assessed by authorities".
100% disgusting if true - but at this point, German authorities are analysing the recordings to ascertain if this is fact. Therefore, the claim can't be substantiated. I specifically remember a protest in Sydney earlier this year where the protestors were accused of repeatedly chanting "death to Jews" and "gas the Jews" and that this was all captured on video. There was a high level police investigation which found that no-one had chanted "death to Jews" or "gas the Jews" and that the claims had been made up by counter protestors. That's why I always wait until something has been substantiated now. I'm just after the truth and fact.
They absolutely do not and not making English the official language of the country is one very big problem. The country is set up so that immigrants don’t have to assimilate and can stay speaking their own language and living their third world culture. You will be asked what language you want when calling up a government agency. English or Spanish is always the option. That’s a huge problem.
Given the opportunity, every group wants to eventually learn English in the United States. Yes, the recent arrivals often can't or don't, and some eventually become old people who never learned English. But their kids and grandkids always do. Always. You are 100% full of shit on this. In the U.S., unlike perhaps in European countries and even maybe in Canada for French speakers, it simply isn't a practical option for generations to stay ensconced in a community that doesn't ever learn English. The reason nobody has made English the official language is nobody has ever had to. It is overwhelmingly the language of society and business and culture and government and everything else. If you don't intend to stay completely isolated in some poor and miserable backwater, you will learn English, and if you can't, your kids absolutely will.

It won't be reported if it is fact.

Here is a clip of Weidel making a very heartfelt speech, with subtitles. What she demands, as do most Europeans, is actually quite simple.
The far left are stupid for their insane “let al Qaeda people in, it makes us stronger” policies.
Please tell us which political party or leader of a country, far-left or otherwise, has ever said that or stated that was a policy of theirs using similar words. And no, all Muslims aren't "Al Qaeda people" even if you believe they all are. And saying that doesn't mean I believe there are no 'bad' Muslims, condone terrorist acts, endorse gays thrown off buildings in foreign countries or support the downfall of Western Civilization. A lot of hyperbolic bullshit is what it is.
R87 The only good thing about trump is maybe he can push a national language. As long as there are free immersion and intensive coursed for immigrants I don't see the issue. Other countries don't tolerate this.
He had his chance to do it before, especially when he was putting kids in cages, and he didn't. Or maybe it could have been done while he empowered his idiot followers to storm the capital. He could try again, but he's too consumed with deportations and threatening non-threatening allied countries for no good reason other than attention. There's nothing "good" about Donald Trump and even if he forced a national language policy, it would change little, if anything for years. He doesn't have the manpower to enforce it despite having our fair share of idiots. MAGAts like cruelty, but most American's aren't MAGAts. I see no scenario where most Americans start denying help or education to people who speak another language. Immigration to this country will continue and children of immigrants will learn and speak English as other groups have done throughout the history of this country, without any official language laws. It would just be another stunt meant to create more division for political gain, not a real concern for greater national unity.
The incredible ignorance and hysterical phobias about Muslims on DL never fails to be astounding.
It's usually trolls or people who "heard about things" or read about it. Once you talk to people who live or work with migrants you get to hear actual stories, positive ones and real life insight. The crap you read here is never first hand observation.

"Because Marxists have rating system when it comes to oppression. She automatically loses points for being white."
Marxists, by definition, only care about class. You're thinking of "cultural Marxists," which is a term right-wing radio invented in the early 1990s to compare the nascent "politically correct" zealots/early SJWs to Communists but with "minority culture" taking the place of the working class as the subject.

One of the colleges I taught at in FL had a majority of Hispanic students, mostly Puerto Ricans, with some from Latin countries in Central and South America. They were the children of immigrants, and their English was perfect. But they spoke fluent Spanish as well (except for the Brazilians, of course).
There were usually three or four plain ol' white American kids in every class, and they would always bitch to me that they couldn't find a little p/t job because they couldn't speak Spanish.
You know what I told them? "If you lived in Europe and the only language you spoke was your own, people would think you were an idiot! Go learn some Spanish!"
And you guys know that as well as I do. It's not just Canada that's bi-lingual. Go live in Switzerland! And most Europeans under a certain age speak not just their own language, but English as well, and some also speak a third language.
So quit your bitchin'. You sound like a bunch of Trumpers.

One of my favorite Islamic Hadiths:
“The Hour will not begin until you fight the Jews, until a Jew will hide behind a rock or a tree, and the rock or tree will say: ‘O Muslim, O slave of Allah, here is a Jew behind me; come and kill him – except the gharqad"
Does anyone know where I can get a gharqad? Do they sell them at the Home Depot or Lowes nurseries yet?
