New York Times reports: "Popular Drug for Dogs May Have Severe Side Effects, F.D.A. Says" (Drug known as Librela)

Article written by Emily Anthes, published December 19, 2024.

"Since Librela became widely available last year, some pet owners have reported that their pets became seriously ill, lost the ability to walk or stand or even died after receiving the drug."

by Anonymousreply 16December 24, 2024 7:03 PM

Librela commercials feature the arthritic dog's chew toys rejoicing his renewed mobility, "this is the best day of my life."

Bad enough Big Pharm commercial advertising targets our bodies, now they're going after our emotional attachment to our beloved pets.

I guess I never should have started snorting Librela!

Shit, my tiny chihuahua has had two injections and is doing incredibly well on it. I’ll talk to the vet before the next injection.

by Anonymousreply 4December 24, 2024 3:45 AM

Additional info attached, R4.

Your vet should have received a cautionary letter from the FDA.

R4, you named your chihuahua “Shit”?

by Anonymousreply 6December 24, 2024 5:23 AM

Good catch, but wouldn’t there be another comma after chihuahua?

by Anonymousreply 7December 24, 2024 6:39 AM

Grateful for info-my dog is recently showing signs of arthritis-will watch this med.

by Anonymousreply 8December 24, 2024 6:49 AM

Maybe they should try this medication out on John Fetterman-just to be sure…

Amazon sells automated cat litter boxes that behead cats all the time. Thank god project 2025 is coming to protect consumers.

That's the stuff we're trying to encourage, R10. Do they come in bigger sizes?

by Anonymousreply 13December 24, 2024 1:00 PM

Is this any surprise? They’re eating the dogs, they’re eating the cats

by Anonymousreply 14December 24, 2024 1:39 PM

R11 it's terrible, so upsetting. this guy investigates the litter boxes and tests them on some plushes and they're a total death trap.

Another scary as-seen-on-tv pet product is "Pooph Odor Eliminator."

"It's safe enough to use on pet toys, their beds, even on THEM!!"

Hell to the No!
