Most of the Jews in Hollywood are cultural or ethnic Jews. I would bet a sizeable minority of them are atheists. Denzel is no Trumper. In fact I would safely say he doesn't vote except he adored Obama. I think his father was a minister, and they had a very rocky relationship when he was coming up. Which is why his passion is the Boys and Girls Clubs. He is very old school in a lot of ways, very much a traditionalist about family. But he is not a Trumper. Not even close.

I've known a lot of people who go to one church or temple and invariably it comes out that they don't necessarily 'believe' the woo woo stuff. Often I know more about their religion than they do. The appeal is they have a tribe, a support group and safety net. The theology is not that important to them.
