In the last alone month for his future American Empire he's laid claim to Greenland, Canada and Panama. Its lucky he hates Mexicans or he'd probably promise to annex there too.

by Anonymousreply 2December 23, 2024 4:32 PM

Denmark isn't selling, you fat orange criminal fuck.

by Anonymousreply 3December 23, 2024 4:42 PM

Well buy it for you if you’ll go there and never come back, Plump.

by Anonymousreply 4December 23, 2024 4:49 PM

We’ll ^^^

by Anonymousreply 5December 23, 2024 4:49 PM

Just give Greenland to the Palestinians!

There exists nothing in any form or of any nature WHATSOEVER that Trump thinks of---or is ABLE to think of---in any way other than transactional.

Because HE can be bought (or leased, given his lack of loyalty), Trump views the world and everything in it as being THE SAME WAY.

Let NJ and NY outbid each other for Covid-19 equipment. Let Georgia give me fake votes or else. Pence will either not certify or he will hang. Ambassador Yovanevich will be going through some things.

Thus, he is perfectly serious in his various attempts at acquisition, from "hamberders" to votes to buildings to people to countries.

by Anonymousreply 8December 23, 2024 4:56 PM

R7, Oil. Diamonds. Minerals.

Same old, same old, for the Greatest Country on Earth.

by Anonymousreply 9December 23, 2024 4:58 PM

I think you’re talking about the British Empire, r9.

by Anonymousreply 10December 23, 2024 6:02 PM

If we can afford Greenland we can afford healthcare.

by Anonymousreply 11December 23, 2024 6:18 PM

Well he did say we should buy it. Denmark quickly clapped back that they weren’t for sale.

Imagine if America did somehow Canada and America became one country, America would become more liberal and that’s a good thing.

by Anonymousreply 12December 23, 2024 6:18 PM

He can have his fat ass buried there and build his "library" there.

[quote]Imagine if America did somehow Canada and America became one country, America would become more liberal and that’s a good thing.

I think you might want to read up on what's happening in Canada.

by Anonymousreply 14December 23, 2024 6:31 PM

R14 I know they are becoming more right wing like every fucking western Nation is except maybe Sweden. Still would a create a more liberal, intelligent populace.

by Anonymousreply 15December 23, 2024 6:34 PM

If we buy it for you, will you GO??? Forever!

by Anonymousreply 16December 23, 2024 7:22 PM

R10, There are more ways to take riches beyond establishing a traditional empire. The US has tried and often succeeded in acquiring:

Afghanistan: Gems, Minerals, Rare Earth Elements, Natural Gas; Opium/Heroin.

Iraq: Oil, Ancient Priceless Artifacts.

Guatemala, Honduras: Land. (United Fruit Co.)

Vietnam: Opium/Heroin.

Panama (Until 1999): Major Shipping Route.

Vieques (Until 2003), Guantanamo, Diego Garcia, etc : Military bases.

by Anonymousreply 18December 23, 2024 8:02 PM

He promised Canada to Vairst Letty for Chreestmas, vit cutie-pie Justin!

by Anonymousreply 19December 23, 2024 8:04 PM

All part of being an autistic narcissist...they can't let go of things.

by Anonymousreply 20December 23, 2024 9:25 PM

R12 you're just a tad naive if you think that if the US took over Canada it would magically become more liberal.

Generally, when a much, much larger more powerful entity takes over a much, much smaller less powerful one, the larger one dominates.

by Anonymousreply 21December 23, 2024 9:28 PM

[Quote] There are more ways to take riches beyond establishing a traditional empire. The US has tried and often succeeded in acquiring:

Sure buddy. America had vastly greater power after WWII was over than the British ever had, yet its exertion of influence over places in order to obtain materials, labor or trade routes was nowhere near as egregious as what the British did.

Not even in the same ballpark.

Keep pretending it was though, if it makes you feel smugger. 🤷🏻‍♂️

by Anonymousreply 22December 23, 2024 10:14 PM

R21 Perhaps. But it’s not like America is staunchly right wing. This country is polarized and leans right with a small majority.

by Anonymousreply 23December 23, 2024 10:17 PM

Panama = controlling trade.

Greenland = controlling trade routes over the Arctic after all the ice melts.

This is just straight up Evil Empire shit.

by Anonymousreply 24December 24, 2024 1:18 AM

R14, yes, the Conservative Party is very likely to win the next Canadian election. But that's not because most Canadians are right-wing or are moving towards Trumpism. It's because Justin Trudeau's Liberal Party has been in power for a decade and he has overstayed his welcome.

Canada is still predominantly a moderate country, and a large majority of Canadians told pollsters last month that they would have voted for Kamala Harris:

What part of "it's not for sale" is he struggling to understand?

by Anonymousreply 26December 24, 2024 9:01 AM

We here in Canada have been waiting for US to stomp over the border for quite some time. We don't like it but not much we can do about it, unfortunately.

by Anonymousreply 27December 24, 2024 9:15 AM

A Canadian conservative = An American moderate democrat

by Anonymousreply 28December 24, 2024 11:00 AM

Didn't the USA buy Georgia from the French? It's an interesting question what legitimates a state and the governments and citizens to lay claim to a land. Native tribes might have a word with the European invaders on that, but the problem doesn't end there. (Problem as in: it is an interesting question.) People in Europe get all teary-eyed at Zelenskyys patriotism but would ostracize everyone in their own country who would speak in the same terms - of themselves as a patriot or say a people have the right to a land by birth or tradition. (My personal opinion is that it is complicated. I don't believe in soil, or that my "blood" gives me a right to live in at all. But then: Israel exists and I do believe Israel has a right to exist. I am a patriot in the sense that I love living in my country, I would defend it, but I don't have any pride (to be proud of something that I had no part in would be stupid) - only a sense of special obligation I don't feel to other countries. (This ends at a personal level of course.)

by Anonymousreply 29December 24, 2024 11:12 AM

[quote][R21] Perhaps. But it’s not like America is staunchly right wing. This country is polarized and leans right with a small majority.

Yes, that's how it currently is, but the country seems to be shifting right and will probably return to pre-1950s values by decade's end and for the remainder of the century.

In short, liberals had their time in the sun in the late 20th/early 21st centuries, but that seems to be winding down.

by Anonymousreply 30December 24, 2024 11:30 AM

I'm in favor of reclaiming the Panama Canal.

by Anonymousreply 31December 24, 2024 11:33 AM

I"m gonna make 'em an offer they can't refuse.

by Anonymousreply 32December 24, 2024 11:46 AM

He distracting from being shot down by Republicans about the debt ceiling. He does this all the time. Say some outrageous things and change the attention focus.

by Anonymousreply 33December 24, 2024 12:21 PM

He’s probably also still dancing to Ava Maria and YMCA. Get used to it.

by Anonymousreply 34December 24, 2024 1:35 PM

R33 nails it. after a failure, say something ridiculous to get people talking. It never fails. I got through Trump 1 by not being engaging in any conversations that started “ Did you hear what crazy shit Trump said…” Saved time and valuable brain cells. When he does something, I pay attention.

by Anonymousreply 35December 24, 2024 1:50 PM

Exactly, r33 and r35. I refuse to take seriously any of this shit he says. It’s all about distracting us from the other shit.

by Anonymousreply 36December 24, 2024 1:54 PM

Trump should go visit. Does he know that Greenland is increasingly tsunami-prone?

by Anonymousreply 37December 24, 2024 1:56 PM

There is nothing like a Dane for telling orange fat ass to go fuck himself.

by Anonymousreply 38December 24, 2024 2:33 PM

“Greenland” was, appropriately enough, a real estate scam. It’s not green; in fact, it’s virtually uninhabitable. Seventy-five percent of it is covered in ice. Only 57,000 people live there. If there was some purpose to that place, the Danes would have figured it out a long time ago.

by Anonymousreply 39December 25, 2024 1:41 AM

I hope he doesn't send out a negative message on Christmas day like he did on Thanksgiving. Better to say nothing at all.

by Anonymousreply 40December 25, 2024 1:46 AM

I'm guessing it has more to do with the idea of some of his billionaire friends that Greenland will be one of the few livable areas in 20-30 years.

by Anonymousreply 41December 25, 2024 1:47 AM

^^^Well that won't happen. He's never going to shut the fuck up until he's six feet under.

by Anonymousreply 42December 25, 2024 1:48 AM

Since Trump thinks of himself as some innovative, unique leader, let him hold a rally on an island near Greenland and invite his non-imprisoned January 6th mobsters and MAGA faithful there to launch an invasion of the island without the U.S. military. Here's hoping Greenlanders have superior harpoon skills. Like they'd be okay with a downgrade in quality of life and democracy by leaving Denmark and joining the United States. Haven't we learned that we won't be greeted as liberators in countries we invade and occupy?

by Anonymousreply 43December 25, 2024 2:02 AM

Maybe he should watch the final season of "Borgen": the Chinese will beat him to the punch.

by Anonymousreply 44December 25, 2024 2:20 AM

R41 Even with global warming it will take well over 100 years for the massive ice sheet that makes up the majority of Greenland melt and create habitable land.

by Anonymousreply 45December 25, 2024 2:30 AM

Orange Turd should be exiled to Greenland.

by Anonymousreply 46December 25, 2024 6:07 AM

Let's deport him.

by Anonymousreply 47December 25, 2024 6:19 AM

He is such a fucking fool. Let's ban stupid people from voting.

by Anonymousreply 48December 25, 2024 6:26 AM

[quote] If there was some purpose to that place, the Danes would have figured it out a long time ago.

Are they just holding on to it for sentimental reasons? I could see them acting disinterested in selling in order to get the price up.

by Anonymousreply 49December 25, 2024 7:17 AM

He is nothing to me. Zero.

by Anonymousreply 50December 25, 2024 7:21 AM

This is the problem with having a President who is a troll and a reality TV star.

by Anonymousreply 51December 25, 2024 8:51 AM

Trump operates on daily sensationalism. Why take much of it seriously. Clever Republicans do not take it seriously. I supposed the brain washed MAGATs do, but even some of them know hyperbole but won't let on that they do, as another way to get the libs.

by Anonymousreply 52December 25, 2024 9:11 AM

R49, If nations were to sell off useless real estate, I nominate the US and Mar-a-Lago.

Greenland would be destroyed if we were to acquire it "for strategic reasons," given that its current infrastructure....isn't. As in, no roads. No nothing.

Trump doesn't think in terms of "defense," though.

He wants the rubies.
