Indian restaurant that has been open for 35 years. The food is always perfect. The restaurant is nice but not over the top fancy. $20 for an entree but the appetizers are worth getting. $$

Essex Seafood House Two! Apparently. there's also an Essex Seafood House somewhere in Mass. (hence the "Two"), but I can't find it anywhere online. This place is easy to overlook when you're driving by; it's just a little joint by a lake. But they have fabulous seafood for reasonable prices (cash only, however). And the breaded stuff isn't greasy at all!
Stop by when you're in the neighborhood!

An Italian bistro in a stip mall in northwest NJ. We've been going there since it opened in 1992. They don't change their standard menu but offer daily specials.
My sister and I are going to our standing New Year's Eve lunch at this place. We know the majority of the staff and they know us on site. For some reason, his deli (which had the most delicious sandwiches) and the second location in a ritzier area, didn't make it.

A little Italian place in Downers Grove IL. They make the best pizza, beef sandwiches and spaghetti that they serve with a huge meatball. The sauce is thin and kind of inky. I haven't been there in years, but they had great Italian food. My favorite was the veal parmasan. It was just a small little place off by itself but near an industrial park.

It's The Marble Room, formerly a bank. Mostly steaks and seafood. $$$$, but not expensive by coast or Vegas prices.

R6 Days-old food they couldn’t sell when fresh is repackaged as “Daily Specials”.
Common bait-and-switch practice in the restaurant industry. Avoid.
