Grizzly Bears are terrifying!

They can smell you from a mile away.

They have speed, stamina, and incredible strength.

They will track you, hunt you, chase you down, and then DEVOUR you.

And out in the wilderness, no matter what you do, they will find you.

Dear God, how do you sleep at night?

by Anonymousreply 1December 23, 2024 5:21 AM

Maulface thread.

by Anonymousreply 2December 23, 2024 5:22 AM

A beah. A cute widdle teddy beah.

R1 just look at how that bear is thousands of feet away from the clueless caribou.

He just sprints towards his prey without stopping. And that's based on smell and not sight, mind you.

Once the gap is narrowed, he is laser focused on his next meal, and does not stop until he catches it.

They are incredible killing machines.

How can you not be terrified of such an skilled predator?

Do you think homo bears in the wild edge each other?

by Anonymousreply 6December 23, 2024 6:47 AM

Not as terrifying as the group-think orcas.

by Anonymousreply 7December 23, 2024 7:51 AM

Maybe so, r7. But humans can stay out of the oceans. Land, not so much. It is true that we need not venture into Grizzly territory. That could get grisly.

Easy. How many people die from grizzly attacks? This is something that does not concern me even if I venture out into nature.

by Anonymousreply 11December 23, 2024 9:14 AM

by Anonymousreply 14December 23, 2024 10:53 AM

R5 such an underrated movie!

by Anonymousreply 15December 23, 2024 10:53 AM

I agree R5; Alec back in the day …. Killer blue eyes combined with the wit and eloquence of Anthony Hopkins …. “ people who get lost in the wilds die of shame” I’ve died of shame multiple times yet I live still

by Anonymousreply 16December 23, 2024 11:44 AM

OMG R12!!!

by Anonymousreply 17December 23, 2024 11:50 AM

Not real.

by Anonymousreply 18December 23, 2024 12:52 PM

Lions and tigers and bears—oh my!

by Anonymousreply 19December 23, 2024 12:53 PM

I remember watching a very long you tube video of a grizzly chasing a black or brown mother bear and two cubs relentlessly. They were quite a bit ahead going uphill and she would turn around every so often and check. Still coming. Don’t think he got them.

by Anonymousreply 20December 24, 2024 1:42 AM

What was his intent?? Do bears eat other bears?

by Anonymousreply 21December 24, 2024 4:50 AM

Yeah!! That’s the shocking thing to me is they eat their own kind. But if you think about it most mammals do

by Anonymousreply 22December 24, 2024 5:46 AM

Like orcas eating dolphins. Why can’t these fuckers go after great whites?

by Anonymousreply 23December 24, 2024 5:48 AM

I wonder how Timothy Treadwell avoided being eaten by a grizzly for 13 years?

by Anonymousreply 24December 24, 2024 8:43 AM

Is that better or worse than a leopard eating your face?
