The Black & White Minstrel Christmas Show Special December 20, 1975

A quite creepy show from the 1970's. This would have been very unacceptable in the United States even by the 1960's.

Brought to you by BBC. This thing ran for 20 years. OP, look again at the date. It's 12/25/71.

This UK monstrosity was reviled in the US and brought this parody from That Was the Week That Was: "I Wanna Go Back to Mississippi" ("Where the Mississippi mud / Kind of mingles with the blood / Of the niggers that are hanging from the branches of the trees"..."Mississippi, it's the state you've gotta choose / Where we hate all the darkies and the Catholics and the Jews / Where we welcome any man / Who is strong and white and belongs to the Ku Klux Klan"

R1- I looked it up online and it said 1975. That must have been another minstrel show shown five years later.

I thought you people said there’s no such thing as a “black job?”

It was more fun in the 1950s when the BBC was still shooting Nips out of the holiday bunkers on their Christmas show.
