Twas the weekend before Christmas...
What's up? It's too damned cold in Vermont to do anything, it's 20 degrees which would be fine except it's very windy. I took the week off so kill some of my PTO and it's a good thing I did.
A few months ago I innocently said to a friend who was looking for someone to dogsit for her 'if you can't find anyone I can do it' with absolutely zero intention of dogsitting, I was just being polite.
Well, I started dog sitting last night for 8 days. My 'foster' dog hates dogs. I thought I was in for a shitfuck of a week but they're great! My friend's dog is pretty much a 55 pound, 12 inch tall potato on stumps. She's listed as a pitbull but I have decided she's an American bulldog and basset hound mix. Ridiculous looking beastie.
I have been keeping them in separate rooms but Molly has had zero reaction so I just have a baby gate up separating them now and it's helped cut out the whining.
I feel bad but it's far too cold for walking either of them even though I cleared out Ruffwear for Molly on black friday and she's got a fleece jacket and down vest, it's just brutal feeling out.
That's my entire upcoming week as far as I know, just hunkering down at home.
What are you doing? Anyone more boring than me?
Merry Christmas you heathens!

Just another weekend. The only time I get any exercise is on the weekends, so I went for a 4 mile walk with friends today and will likely again tomorrow. I don't have a lot of Christmas shopping to do, so that's already done.
Next week, for the first few days until Christmas is going to be a total bitch, so not looking forward to that at all. But, do have the time between Christmas and New Year's off, so I'm looking forward to that.

It’s summer in my part of the world with Boxing Day forecast to be 40 degrees C (104F).
This weekend I’ve slept and eaten leftovers from the rest of the week. Work has been relentless and I’m exhausted already. Can’t wait for Xmas Day lunch with my right wing conspiracy theory spouting father.

It’s 76 degrees in SoCal but my place is 67 degrees and freezing. Good insulation, takes a long time to heat up or cool down. But I still dream of a white Christmas. I like snow. And I’m watching the 1966 Andy Williams Christmas show. I’m a sap.

-17° celsius (1.4° fahrenheit) tonight in my part of Canada. Current 'Feels Like' reading is -21°C or -6°F
Running around shopping, and quick lunch with a friend today it did feel brisk but the sun shining bright. Now, the fire on, wrapping, cooking, edibles consumed, all good.

Freezing my ass off here in the Ocala National Forest! Tonight's low will be 37F. Yes, that's cold weather here in Florida.
Can't wait to get to Panama and get my bones and joints nice and warm.
