I wrote in this thread that he was an extremely toxic narcissist.
Whatever happened onset in production, Baldoni broke a big rule of Hollywood of not airing dirty laundry in public. A good example of this exact situation happened last year when Beau De Mayo went public with his grievances over being fired from X-Men 97, and Disney went public a day later and revealed he was fired for sexually harassing male subordinates.
Baldoni started a PR offensive against Lively shortly after the movie premiered because he did not like her overruling his creative decisions (which she, as a producer of the film, had a right to do.) He should have just shut up, licked his wounds and waited for a new job. Now after this, he’s likely done in Hollywood as a director.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 21, 2024 3:38 PM |
He's a tool. Have you seen his interviews with that freak Alok Menon?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 21, 2024 3:42 PM |
I like Blake. there is no "everybody" r10.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 21, 2024 3:42 PM |
I’ll add that it’s exceedingly rare for some who has a reputation as an “abs for hire” actor is given a chance to direct and star in a studio film, especially if he’s never distinguished himself creatively, even as a performer.
Additionally, Baldoni has fucked himself as an actor, because now he is deemed “problematic for women.” As soon as actor who has nothing but his good looks is labeled toxic, it’s over. Look at Armie Hammer.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 21, 2024 3:48 PM |
Baldoni spent five seasons on Jane the Virgin. If he's a douchebag harasser, shouldn't there be tons of stories from that set about his toxic behavior? Where are there? By comparison, Blake spent 5 years on Gossip Girl and there are loads of stories about her feuding with co-stars and being a pain in the ass on set.
Obviously the accusations she's making are serious, but it's also easy for things to be twisted out of context. We already know discussions about her weight were in relation to a scene where he had to lift her up. Showing nudes sounds awful, but if it was to approve body doubles for a sex scene then it seems kind of standard. Etc.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 21, 2024 3:52 PM |

The demands that were addressed in that meeting, according to the lawsuit, included
1) not showing nude videos or images of women to Lively;
2) no more mentions of Baldoni’s alleged previous “pornography addiction”
3) no more discussions about sexual experiences in front of Lively and others
4) no further mentions of cast and crew’s genitalia
5) no more inquiries about Lively’s weight.
5 is a legetimate question due to worker safety for Justin
4 if justin and his bros were doing this, gross and inappropriate
3 was this in the context of reads and character preparation? Than it might make sense
2 ditto above
1 if it was to get her approval for a body double, what is the problem? She could wave seeing that if she wanted but I assume she would want a say on her faked body onscreen
Summary - a massive cunt

The full complaint is online. I haven't finished it yet, but so far what I've read is REALLY damaging--tons of really gross, toxic, and sexually inappropriate behavior by Baldoni. What's funny, though, is that they allege he purposefully set out to destroy her reputation (and they seem to have receipts on this) yet the one thing they aren't suing for is defamation.

A few years ago, he was a regular fill-in cohost on 'The Talk'. The audience loved him, and he really campaigned for the job to become the first male cohost on the show (I believe it was when Carrie Ann left). In the end, they decided not to go with him or any male host at the time. I have a feeling if there was anything devious going on with JB behind the scenes, it would have happened with these women at 'The Talk' and they would've said something by now (especially 'Mrs O').

While I get that sexual harassment may not be about sex so much as power, he would be a fool to have harassed her because, well, look where we are now.
She clearly had the power in the situation. The rest of the cast seems to be siding with her, so you know there will be "testimony" against him with them recounting tales of woe.
She's simply not a good enough actress for me to believe her.

This film had a 25 million dollar budget and grossed 350 million worldwide. In other words, a successful non franchise Rom/SerioCom did very, very well.

While a studio film, "It Ends with Us" was made on a $25 million dollar budget, which is modest nowadays. The Independent Spirt Awards is only for films that are made for $30 million and under (increased from $22.5), Plus, he has directed similar soft films like "Five Feet Apart'. From Deadline:
“Having known Justin Baldoni for years and previously worked under him at Wayfarer, I can attest to the validity of these claims. Justin, Steve Sarowitz, and Jessica Sarowitz have repeatedly wielded their wealth, power, and influence—under the guise of religious piety—to manipulate and harm those who work for them. Despite presenting themselves as devout members of the Bahá’í faith, their actions have often prioritized power and status over genuine values. Like many others who have worked for them, I have witnessed the gaslighting, emotional manipulation, and the profound harm they have caused. Their carefully curated image as agents of “social change” masks the truth, and I commend Blake for having the courage to speak publicly about what so many of us have felt but couldn’t voice. Hollywood is undergoing a moment of accountability, and it’s time for individuals like Justin, Steve, and Jessica—whose combined wealth is in the billions—to face scrutiny for their actions. Thank you, Blake and Ryan, for bringing these truths to light. More will undoubtedly emerge, and it is a step toward justice. Justin, it’s time to be MAN ENOUGH and take accountability for what you’ve become.”

I honestly didn’t think I could hate Blake more than I already do. That interview where she and Parker Posey go full mean girl is devastating and should have been enough for Blake to lie low for a (long) while. But, because she’s a deluded, arrogant cunt who can only see what’s in front of her rather than the big picture l, she’s filing this. I can’t WAIT for the backlash to ruin her and to would Reynolds’ rep, too. Her blindness as to this likelihood is staggering.
All that said, Parker Posey disappointed me, too. Her delight in that cruelty (let alone her joining in) really turned me off.

I’m gonna go the other way on the prevailing sentiment in this thread, and approach it like a written math problem that needs to be solved…
Lively’s reputation has been in the shitter for many months now, even years, as people bitched about her previously.
That said, I believe her.
Why?
Because there’s really no reason for her to dig herself deeper into the hole she currently finds herself in. Accusing him of sexual harassment can easily bury him, just as much as it will bury her.
Why make this up? Why double down, unless it’s true?
Women deal with men like this in the workplace constantly. They’re exposed to men saying highly inappropriate shit, and absolutely will men expose women to actual pornography at work, if they think a “cool girl” won’t rat them out.
There’s a good chance Baldoni is an idiot.
It’s either he’s an idiot and did this, or Blake Lively wants revenge because they were having some sordid, adulterous affair, and he dumped her.
There’s gotta be a very good reason for her doing this. One doesn’t make these accusations unless they’re true. Yes, there are women who accuse men of sexual harassment, and lie when doing so. But this case here? I don’t think so. The problem here is that he does not believe that what he did is sexual harassment, when it is, indeed.
I could be totally wrong. We shall see.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | December 21, 2024 8:55 PM |

The film made lots of money and put her on the map, but Baldoni holds the rights to the sequel, which must anger her to no end. She and Ryan must want the rights to the sequel in order to make a Justin-less sequel. Maybe that's part of the settlement she wants to make this legal mess go away.
Google AI:
[quote] Justin Baldoni, through his production company Wayfarer Studios, holds the rights to the "It Ends With Us" sequel, titled "It Starts With Us," meaning he has the option to develop a film adaptation of the book if he chooses to do so.

But what details at R56 are actually being alleged? “Emotional manipulation” is highly subjective. What does it even mean?
Lawsuits are won through detailed evidence and testimony. Not opinionated conjecture.
The thing I take away from that testimony, which would be questioned by the defence, is; they worked for Wayfarer, allegedly under those conditions, for years. Why?
They also be asked if they’ve been coerced by Lively and Reynolds. This isn’t some slam dunk.
Personally, I find the behaviour Lively describes in her suit to be kind of unbelievable. Why would anybody behave that way and, also, if his behaviour is SO extreme and everybody knew about it, why did Lively work with him? Her husband is one of the biggest stars in the industry - you mean to tell me that none of his advisers or representatives had ever heard anything about Baldoni and Wayfarer’s behaviour? They would just allow Lively to take this project without any warning?
Is it a coincidence that Lively filed suit a week after the Golden Globe and Critics Choice nominations were announced and she missed out?
This will go on for years and the only person it helps right now is the beleaguered Brian Jordan Alvarez.
Also, the #metoo moment happened 6 years ago and what we’ve learned since then is how easily these accusations can be weaponised. In fact, given Lively’s murky intentions here, you could say this suit marks the end of the #metoo era and the beginning of the “every man for himself” era.

He’d be smart to sell the rights of the sequel, unless he has access to cash that allows him to go totally independent, which I doubt & even if he did, it wouldn’t make much of a difference, because cast and specific crew who have top notch representation, may get black balled if they go off the reservation.
Anyone here familiar with the agencies? Is there a chance he will be repped by another one?

Has anyone asked Al Franken for comment? I don't believe he was guilty of sexual harrassment yet he was instantly cancelled before anything could be investigated and clarified. I don't know if Justin really harrassed Blake Lively, but he's already been dumped by his agency, now.
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand cosied up to and championed that INSANE Columbian cunt, Mattress Girl. When all the dust settled, Mattress Girl destoyed a young man with her histrionics and false accusations.
Color me completely unconvinced that Blake Lively has produced a slam dunk with this latest power play.

Amber Heard is histrionic. I believe Mattress Girl is as well. It wouldn't surprise me if Lively is. I followed the story and it seemed that Lively and her "camp" were smearing Baldoni first. So he hired a firm and went hardcore. Meanwhile, all that time Blake and Ryan were stealing the film away from the director and producers. Baldoni's PR firm went hard core, and scored! Great counterstrike, which really damaged Lively. Everything the public saw was based on Lively real behavior.
So now she is lobbing a new round of heavy ammunition.
Sorry but my spidey sense says she has trumped up her claims, considerably. I may be proved wrong in the end, of course.

Wow, R145.
If true, what a horrendously toxic set to have worked on.
Here’s the thing… who believes she would sue this man & his co-producers who are associated with Wayfarer, unless she has solid testimony from various people on set?
I understand she’s married to an A-Lister who has immense pull within the industry, however, to me that signifies that both she & her husband have a LOT to lose, if it turns out she’s making all of this stuff up, & has somehow convinced her underlings to outright lie on her behalf.
I’d also like to remind DLers about how incredibly obtuse & stupid some straight guys are, when it comes to seeking dominance over female co-workers and even female supervisors in regular, non entertainment related offices.
Some straight men can be as toxic as some women, or more so. I’ve repeatedly witnessed men in various office settings target the one woman who isn’t interested in them, or who speak up for themselves in hopes of stopping further damage to their careers & reputations.
Some men really do some very fucked up shit when they don’t get their way, & it’s disingenuous to claim that these men are always targets of revenge campaigns, instead of admitting they’re just assholes.

R146, there’s a ton of written evidence in this case. Lively complained early on during the filming about Baldoni and the producer; lawyers were involved, a written settlement was signed. THEN Baldoni engaged a firm to malign Lively, because he was worried about her documented complaints becoming public. He wanted to ruin her reputation so that no one would care about what he had done. Baldoni and the people he hired exchanged amazingly extensive text messages documenting what they were doing and why.
If Lively and Ryan Reynolds faked all of that evidence it would be easy to disprove, wouldn’t it?

Bahai explained, using drag culture as a metaphor, per ChatGPT
Let’s break down the Bahá’í Faith using drag queens and drag houses as a metaphor.
God as the Ultimate Drag Mother
In this metaphor, God is like the ultimate Drag Mother, the supreme source of creativity, love, and guidance. Just like a Drag Mother oversees her house, inspires her children, and sets the standard for their art, God provides the foundation and guidance for all creation.
Religions as Different Drag Houses
Each major world religion—Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, etc.—is like a different Drag House. These houses (religions) have been established at different times, by different Drag Mothers (prophets or messengers), to serve their communities’ unique needs while still drawing inspiration from the same source.
For example: • House of Abraham (Judaism) • House of Jesus (Christianity) • House of Muhammad (Islam) • House of Buddha (Buddhism)
Every house has its own aesthetic, rules, and culture, but ultimately, they share the same goal: to express love, truth, and beauty, and to help their children become the best versions of themselves.
Bahá’u’lláh as the New Drag Mother
Bahá’u’lláh, the founder of the Bahá’í Faith, is like the latest legendary Drag Mother to start a new house—let’s call it the House of Bahá’í. • Bahá’u’lláh didn’t come to erase the other houses but to unite them under one ballroom roof. • The House of Bahá’í teaches that all the previous Drag Mothers (prophets) are valid and came from the same source (God). • It emphasizes that it’s time for all the houses to stop competing and start collaborating—because in the end, it’s all one big family.
The Ballroom as the World
The world is like a giant ballroom. Historically, each House has walked its own category (e.g., Religion Realness, Spiritual Eleganza), but Bahá’u’lláh’s message is clear: • No more shade. No more battles. It’s time for a Grand Finale where everyone shines together.
The Bahá’í Faith teaches that we are all performers in the same cosmic show, and the best performance happens when everyone gets along, supports each other, and celebrates diversity.
Equality and Inclusion as Key Values
In the House of Bahá’í: • No one gets chopped based on gender, race, sexuality, or background. • Everyone is seen as unique, valuable, and worthy of respect. • The House is about universal love, education, and building each other up, not tearing each other down.
Conclusion: We’re All in This Together
The Bahá’í Faith says: • “We’re all in the same ballroom, darling. Let’s stop throwing shade and start building bridges.” • The time has come for a global family reunion where every House (religion) and every performer (individual) contributes to a world of unity, love, and dazzling harmony.
In short: Different looks, same runway. One Love, One God, One House.

How could Bahai teachings in this metaphor, be exploited by a particularly ruthless and amoral drag queen troublemaker?
Great question! Even in a metaphorical drag ballroom inspired by Bahá’í teachings, a ruthless and amoral drag queen troublemaker could exploit those ideals for their own gain. Let’s break it down:
1. Unity as a Weapon of Control
Bahá’í Teaching: All houses (religions) are part of one universal family, and everyone should work together in harmony. Troublemaker Move: The drag queen might twist this teaching by saying, “Unity means obedience to me because I represent the ‘vision’ of this unity.” • They might claim they are the “true interpreter” of the House of Bahá’í’s vision. • Any dissent or questioning could be reframed as “disrupting unity” or “causing division.” • They might guilt others by saying, “If you’re not following me, you’re not supporting unity.”
In short: They weaponize the idea of unity to silence critics and centralize power under themselves.
2. Exploiting the Idea of Progressive Revelation
Bahá’í Teaching: God reveals truth progressively through different messengers (Drag Mothers) over time. Troublemaker Move: The drag queen could claim, “I’m the newest messenger! A fresh prophet in six-inch heels. It’s time for my house to lead this ballroom.” • They could argue that their interpretation of Bahá’í ideals is the most up-to-date and therefore must be obeyed. • They could start creating new rules under the guise of progressive revelation. • Dissenters could be dismissed as “old-fashioned” or “stuck in outdated interpretations.”
In short: They exploit the concept of progress and change to position themselves as the ultimate authority.
3. Using the Absence of Clergy to Their Advantage
Bahá’í Teaching: There is no clergy or religious elite in the Bahá’í Faith; everyone is responsible for their own spiritual journey. Troublemaker Move: The queen might fill that power vacuum and declare themselves the “de facto leader” of the House. • They could say, “Well, since there’s no official clergy, someone has to lead—and I’m clearly the most qualified!” • They might build an inner circle of loyal queens who act as enforcers. • They could dismiss any critique with, “I’m just stepping up where leadership is needed, darling.”
In short: They exploit the lack of formal hierarchy to install themselves as an unofficial ruler.
by Anonymous | reply 164 | December 22, 2024 2:28 AM |
4. Turning Inclusivity into Performative Allyship
Bahá’í Teaching: Everyone is equal and worthy of love and respect. Troublemaker Move: The queen might loudly perform inclusivity while secretly playing favorites. • They could give fake ally speeches to the crowd while ensuring only their inner circle gets featured or rewarded. • They might say, “I’m here for everyone—as long as you’re loyal to me.” • They might accuse dissenters of “being divisive” or “not being team players” if they call out hypocrisy.
In short: They exploit the language of inclusion and equality to create a veneer of fairness while running a clique.
5. Using the Lack of Rituals to Gaslight Others
Bahá’í Teaching: The faith avoids rigid rituals and dogma, focusing on principles and personal reflection. Troublemaker Move: The drag queen might constantly shift expectations and rules so no one can ever meet them. • They might say, “There are no set rules, so I’ll decide what’s appropriate in the moment.” • They could accuse others of “not getting the spirit of the House” if they step out of line. • They might keep things intentionally vague and inconsistent, making others feel unsure or insecure.
In short: They exploit the absence of strict dogma to keep people off balance and dependent on their guidance.
6. Capitalizing on the Vision of World Peace
Bahá’í Teaching: The ultimate goal is global unity and peace. Troublemaker Move: The queen could frame any criticism of them as an attack on peace itself. • They might say, “I’m working for world peace, and you’re nitpicking about my leadership? Priorities, darling!” • They could portray themselves as a martyr for the cause, saying things like, “I carry the burden of this house on my sequined shoulders!” • They might demand sacrifices from others in the name of the “greater good.”
In short: They exploit the noble vision of peace and harmony to shut down dissent and demand sacrifice.
Final Performance: The Troublemaker’s Legacy
If this ruthless drag queen troublemaker played their cards right, they might end up: • As an untouchable figurehead in the House. • With a loyal following that dismisses criticism as divisive. • Seen as “necessary for unity” even if their actions are damaging.
But ultimately, their exploitation would undermine the core values of the House of Bahá’í: inclusivity, equality, and unity.
Moral of the Story
Just like in the ballroom, in any spiritual or social movement: • Charisma isn’t the same as virtue. • Unity shouldn’t mean blind obedience. • Inclusivity isn’t about optics—it’s about integrity.
The House of Bahá’í, like any great drag house, thrives when its queens are humble, collaborative, and focused on lifting everyone up—not just themselves.

I would have kneed him in the nuts, immediately & would have walked away from the whole thing right then & there.
It took great self control for her not to go off like that. That bullshit would have disturbed me more than the sexual harassment, because it displays a level of narcissism that is completely out of the ballpark, even for Hollywood.

Porn addiction is quite common among ADHD because the brain responds strongly to “data stimulus” - this is called hyperfocus.
“Hyperfocus is an intense state of concentration where a person becomes completely absorbed in a task or activity, often to the point of losing track of time, surroundings, and even basic needs like eating or sleeping. It’s like having a mental spotlight shining directly on one thing, blocking out everything else. People with ADHD or autism often experience hyperfocus, especially when they’re engaged in something they find interesting, challenging, or rewarding. While it can lead to impressive productivity, creativity, or skill development, it can also cause problems if it prevents someone from switching to other important tasks or responsibilities.” ChatGPT

The most confounding aspect of this was not just Baldoni harassing Lively while making himself the spokesperson for male feminists
The most confounding aspect is why he chose to harass the wife of one of Hollywood’s few remaining superstars and thought he would get away with it
It seems like Baldoni, a himbo who fancied himself a multi hyphenate, was probably more fixated on Ryan Reynolds and the unfairness that Ryan had achieved success instead of Baldoni, whose crackpot religion probably nurtured the notion the Baldoni was more pure and enlightened and deserved material success more than Ryan.

Per the lawsuit: "The emotional impact on Ms. Lively has been extreme, not only affecting her, but her family, including her husband and four children. There are days when she has struggled to get out of bed, and she frequently chooses not to venture outside in public. While she has fought to maintain her personal life and business interests, behind closed doors she has suffered from grief, fear, trauma, and extreme anxiety. She also has been experiencing repeated and painful physical symptoms as a result of this experience. Mr. Reynolds, too, has been affected mentally, physically, and professionally by his wife and children’s pain. Worst of all, however, has been the impact on their young children, who have been traumatized and emotionally uprooted in ways that have substantially impacted their well-being."

It was a power play for the sequel, and now they poisoned the well. Killed the goose that laid the golden egg. No one in Hollywood is going to touch that sequel now.
None of the situations in her trailer where Juston or others saw her topless (removing makeup and breastfeeding) had to happen. It sounds like everything was casual and friendly among them, but now she’s digging up or manufacturing dirt. It almost sounds almost like she enjoyed the leering until she didn’t, or lured them in to a compromising situation she could use to her benefit later. She could’ve used a sheer fabric scarf, etc. to cover if she was that enraged.
Justin is cute but not that cute- and looks a little too sinewy/methy. I also think Ryan and Blake seem tainted a bit now, and knowing the behind the scene machinations makes me think twice about watching anything they produce. And I really like some of her movies until now.
Why not post a security guard at the trailer door?

Minor point, but the thing about her weight? That is dick-ish. He knows about what she weighs. It’s not like she is morbidly obese and it’s hard to tell if she weights 300 or 375 pounds. She is tall and slim. Assuming she is 5’10” (and he’d know her height just by looking at her) she weighs somewhere between 135 and 150 pounds. Even at a range of 135-155 that’s close enough. It’s not like a doctor told him, “Don’t lift any women who weighs over 147.5 pounds.”
He was making a point of getting the weight because she is tall and he knew the number might be higher than expected.

He committed career suicide. And these two viscous cunts involved in this attack on Blake are beyond stupid. Like it or not, Ryan Reynolds is very powerful in the entertainment industry. R231, and there were no lifting scenes in the script. He was just being creepy and aggressive. He's a professional; he's supposed to focus on the film. He's not an important person, he doesn't have years of good will to draw on if he constantly tries to undermine the star. Lively did was she was programmed to do: she raised her complaints with HR, she didn't blow up the film, she went through with the promotional work. No one from the set has said anything bad about her; many of them knew what was going on.

Justin Baldoni’s lawyer stated that the decision to hire PR crisis manager Melissa Nathan stemmed from “multiple demands and threats made by Ms. Lively during production.”
According to TMZ, Blake Lively’s demands included:
• no more showing nude videos or images of women to Blake • no more mention of Baldoni's alleged previous "pornography addiction"
• no more discussions about sexual conquests in front of Blake and others • no further mentions of cast and crew's genitalia • no more inquiries about Blake's weight • no further mention of Blake's dead father

[quote]"This is what we would need," Baldoni wrote in the text, per the complaint, to which Abel replied: "Yes I literally just spoke to Melissa about this on the break about what we discussed last night for social and digital. Focus on Reddit, TikTok, [Instagram]."
[quote]Per the complaint, on the same day, Abel sent a message to Nathan stating: "I'm having reckless thoughts of wanting to plant pieces this week of how horrible Blake is to work with… Just to get ahead of it."
[quote]"Same," Nathan responded at the time, noting that one journalist friend of hers was "ready when we are," according to the complaint.

Why wouldn't an actress be a sociopath. An actress such as Lively with her long track record of cuntitude.
1) Emotional Detachment: Sociopaths often have a limited ability to feel emotions like empathy, which can allow them to portray a wide range of characters without being emotionally affected by the roles they play.
Miss Lively immediately distanced herself from this role and movie about spouse abuse and restructed the PR campaign as almost a lie, about flowers and uplifting message.
2) Manipulation Skills: They tend to be skilled at reading others and understanding social dynamics, which can help them mimic emotions and behaviors convincingly.
3) Focus on Performance: Sociopaths may be highly focused on achieving their goals, including excelling in acting, which could drive them to hone their craft intensively.
4) Charisma: Many sociopaths can be charming and charismatic, traits that are advantageous in the entertainment industry.
Miss Lively is missing only #4

R311, the movie was released months ago and killed at the box office, grossing over $340 million worldwide. I wouldn’t have guessed that either. There may have been money left on the table due to Baldoni’s pre-exmptive PR attack on Lively when the movie was just released.
Variety found out where all the text messages came from: the publicist Abel who had worked on the anti-Blake campaign was fired from her agency, and, as a result, agreed to turn over her phone when she left. When Lively’s lawyers came calling, the agency (which itself had been involved in the smear campaign) were able to produce the messages.

Personally, I have never experienced a “professional” setting as I have always been one to develop personal relationships with co-workers and bosses throughout the years and various jobs. Conversations about personal lives involving sex, drugs, cheating, poor humor, jokes, nudity, porn, alcohol - I’ve heard and seen it all.
I think every boss I’ve ever had, I have gotten drunk with, most likely at a concert.
I suppose in situations, I could have weaponized it against someone and someone could also probably weaponize it against me.
I just feel like this is a woman who didn’t have anything bad to say about Harvey Weinstein and Woody Allen, who she knew and worked with, is going to be offended by some of these things.
Sure - a lot of what she is saying sounds like they were being unprofessional. But, had he given her the rights to the movie like she initially wanted and she didn’t feel forced to work under his control and production company, I’m sure this would have been nothing.

Just to point out what I mean in my R323 post, just watch that interview with Blake Lively and Parker Posey with that female journalist.
That journalist could easily file a sexual harassment lawsuit against Blake Lively and Parker Posey as not only were they nasty to her, they started to make crude jokes about their tits as a way to undermine her questions - then attacked her for asking them about costumes in the movie directly after.
That is 100% sexual harassment and unprofessional and everything Blake Lively is claiming was done to her.
You can’t pick and chose when to play victim and sexually harass others.
by Anonymous | reply 325 | December 24, 2024 5:04 AM |
Cool, r325. Your experience really has nothing to do with what happened. Blake Lively is a woman and most women don't want to hear some nasty fuck coworker talk about sex.
You're not a serious person if you're comparing a rude interview to sustained sexual harassment and general douchebaggery. The journalist obviously hates women hence her support for Johnny Depp.

R332, it was an HR matter. Those were the specific things she complained about to the studio and she wanted Baldoni to stop. She got the studio's lawyers involved and there was a negotiated agreement in which Baldoni agreed not to keep harass her. Subsequently Baldoni worried that news of the agreement would come out. Other people on the set did not like him, either, and Ryan Reynolds certainly didn't. That was why Baldoni turned to his PR people to preemptively attack Lively.

Interesting that Lively hasn't also filed a defamation suit. Baldoni might have started a "smear" campaign, but all that campaign did was circulate reports of Lively's own behavior. A defamation suit can only prevail if the plaintiff can provide evidence of falsity in the information being spread.

Summarized by ChatGPT
The lawsuit filed by Stephanie Jones, founder of the PR firm Jonesworks, against Justin Baldoni, his company Wayfarer Studios, and publicists Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel, centers on claims of defamation, breach of contract, and conspiracy. Here are the key points: 1. Allegations of Conspiracy and Smear Campaign: • Jones alleges that Nathan and Abel conspired with Baldoni and Wayfarer to implement a media smear campaign against It Ends With Us co-star Blake Lively. • Jones claims she had no knowledge or involvement in this campaign but was later blamed for it. 2. Breach of Contract: • Baldoni and Wayfarer had an active PR contract with Jonesworks from May 2024 to May 2025, valued at $25,000 per month. • Abel allegedly left Jonesworks suddenly to form her own firm, taking clients, including Baldoni and Wayfarer, with her. 3. Defamation and Damage to Reputation: • Jones accuses Abel and Nathan of defaming her within the industry and spreading false claims about her involvement in the smear campaign against Lively. • Abel allegedly claimed that Jones doctored text messages, which Jones denies, stating the messages were forensically extracted from a company phone. 4. Allegations of Client Poaching and Document Theft: • Abel and Nathan are accused of stealing clients and confidential documents during Abel’s departure from Jonesworks. 5. Text Message Evidence: • The lawsuit references incriminating text messages from Abel, including negative comments about Baldoni and Nathan. 6. Retaliation and Industry Fallout: • Jones claims the misconduct by Abel, Nathan, Baldoni, and Wayfarer caused significant harm to her business and reputation.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages and court orders to address the alleged misconduct. It also aims to counter any implication that Jones leaked texts to Lively’s legal team. This case appears to be the first of several anticipated lawsuits emerging from the It Ends With Us controversy.

Explained using drag queens
🎭 The Setting: A Drag House Drama
Imagine “House of Jones” is a well-established drag house run by Mama Stephanie Jones (the PR firm owner). The house is famous for managing some high-profile queens, including Justin Baldoni (a star queen) and his performance troupe, Wayfarer Studios.
👑 The Key Players:
• Mama Stephanie Jones: The seasoned house mother who runs things with a sharp eye and fierce wigs.
• Justin Baldoni (Wayfarer Studios): A headlining queen known for being a “feminist icon” but who’s been causing backstage chaos.
• Melissa Nathan & Jennifer Abel: Two drag daughters in the house who worked closely with Stephanie but have now left to start their own house (House of Abel).
💥 The Drama Unfolds:
1. The Smear Campaign Scandal:
• A rival queen (Blake Lively) claims that Justin Baldoni and his troupe (Wayfarer Studios) tried to sabotage her with nasty rumors and shady backstage antics.
• The scandal blows up on Drag Race Twitter, and everyone’s wigs are on fire.
2. Blame Game:
• Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel (Jones’ former drag daughters) allegedly whispered to Baldoni, “Mama Jones is the one who started all this drama, not us!”
• Meanwhile, Mama Jones is clutching her pearls, claiming she knew nothing about the drama and is being falsely blamed.
3. The Walkout:
• Jennifer Abel suddenly leaves the House of Jones, taking Justin Baldoni and several other star queens (clients) with her to start her own house (House of Abel).
• Mama Jones is left with empty rhinestone corsets and unpaid contracts.
4. Receipt Time:
• Mama Jones brings out the texts (receipts) — messages from Jennifer Abel saying things like:
• “Justin is so pompous. He’s not that important.”
• “Melissa is a piece of sht.”*
• These shady messages were allegedly extracted from a company phone Abel returned after leaving the house.
5. Defamation on the Drag Scene:
• Abel and Nathan are allegedly still walking around the ballroom scene, whispering to other queens that Mama Jones doctored the texts and is spreading lies to save face.
• Mama Jones denies this, saying the texts are real and unedited receipts.
📜 The Lawsuit (Drag Ball Main Event):
Mama Jones has now sashayed into the courtroom with a list of demands:
• She wants compensation for the damage caused to her drag house’s reputation.
• She’s accusing Abel, Nathan, and Baldoni of defamation, breach of contract, and client poaching.
• She wants the court to officially declare that she’s not the villain in this storyline.
🔥 The Stakes:
This isn’t just one performance on the runway — it’s the beginning of a full drag war.
• Mama Jones wants justice and her drag house restored.
• Abel and Nathan are trying to protect their new house’s reputation.
• Baldoni is stuck in the middle, watching his sequins fall off under the harsh stage lights.
It’s a classic drag scandal: backstage whispers, stolen wigs (clients), text message receipts, and a very public feud.
And as they say in the drag world: “The library is open, and the reading has begun!”

I'm also not feeling the article at R370. Yes, men get away with bad behavior more than women do and yes it's unfair. But there are other actresses who've had the "difficult" label thrown at them and had it fail to stick because there was just wasn't enough there to back it up. That isn't the case with Blake who has managed to alienate people on nearly every set she's worked on. On top of that, her public persona comes off as very, very fake. Again, maybe men can get away with that shit more than women do, but that's not really much of a defense, is it?

R376, but being annoying or “difficult” is, in the scheme of things, trivial. People work with her and her films make money. If there was something truly wrong with her, she would have been dropped long ago. Nothing she’s been accused of doing is remotely comparable to what Baldoni did.

Baldoni and Lively are peas in a pod. It seems to have been a cat fight from the moment they started working together. His scorched earth smear campaign was tacky as hell but very effective and public reaction is based on Lively's real behavior and vibe. She had alredy gone scorched earth on him twice, with the labour disputes and trying to steal away control of. his project in at least two significant ways. Then her obvious hissy mean girl fit during the PR. His PR campaign doesn't make sense for his future career. Her latest volley doesn't make sense for her likeability and employability, behind doors people will think she is trouble. It really seems like two immature, emotionally driven control freaks having a tit for tat. As much as I dislike Lively, if Boldoni was director (and producer?), any untoward behavior on set was finally his responsibility. If he was the perpetrator, what an amateur.
Most men learn in their 20s, or by their 30s, learn from their first experience about women such as Lively. Trouble from a mile away. One must be polite and otherwise "grey rock" them. Disengage.

Blake has a problem with strong, swarthy, Baha'i-mian men who act rings around her, even when they themselves aren't complete thespians.

“They say you look fat, Blake”, sobbed Justin.
I need to see Lifetime make this. Blake to be played by Alison Sweeney.
