Republican family members emboldened by Trump win.

I’ve made other plans for holidays because relatives are gleefully gloating how they won the revolution-sickening.

by Anonymousreply 30December 22, 2024 9:02 PM

Same

by Anonymousreply 1December 21, 2024 2:52 PM

Finally, a new topic around here

by Anonymousreply 2December 21, 2024 2:59 PM

Sore winners are worse than sore losers.

by Anonymousreply 3December 21, 2024 3:01 PM

R2 Glad you bumped the thread

by Anonymousreply 4December 21, 2024 3:02 PM

Their time will come, OP

by Anonymousreply 5December 21, 2024 3:06 PM

I'm going to Christmas dinner but I'm putting hot sauce in everything when no one's looking. extremely hot hot sauce, so hot their assholes will melt.

by Anonymousreply 6December 21, 2024 3:12 PM

I'm with R5. Ask about grocery prices in 6 months.

by Anonymousreply 7December 21, 2024 3:17 PM

I also changed my holiday plans in the wake of the election. I'm unsure the subject of the election or Trump would even come up, but I'm tired of feeling like I'm in enemy territory. Oh, and there's the Donald Trump ornament on the Christmas tree...I thought about having it mysteriously fall off the tree last year...

by Anonymousreply 8December 21, 2024 4:41 PM

Fight back, OP. You have plenty of ammo.

by Anonymousreply 9December 21, 2024 4:45 PM

Will cancel at the last minute. I feel the flu coming on-yes I do.

by Anonymousreply 10December 22, 2024 1:28 PM

Punch and delete.

by Anonymousreply 11December 22, 2024 1:31 PM

Would rather be alone than have dinner with the “Dump” family.

by Anonymousreply 12December 22, 2024 1:31 PM

They should be emboldened. Democrats need to accept their victory or they will never win again.

The first step in accepting it and moving on is to acknowledge how the party lied and misled you to prop up Joe Biden. If Joe Biden had not run again, we probably would have won the election with a proper primary-vetted candidate. The party should never be forgiven for allowing him to run again, and his supporters must be geld accountable for their gaslighting, every time tey complain about Trump. THEY are responsible for this.

by Anonymousreply 13December 22, 2024 1:32 PM

Woulda shoulda coulda, r13. We'll never know for sure who if anyone could have beaten Trump. Maybe this country is full of stupid cunts and we were always destined to get a second Trump term. It's tempting to blame a politician you personally dislike or a policy you personally disagree with.

by Anonymousreply 14December 22, 2024 1:51 PM

Ditto R14. R13 is one of those cunts.

by Anonymousreply 15December 22, 2024 2:19 PM

Ditto R14 R13 is one of those dumb cunts.

by Anonymousreply 16December 22, 2024 2:21 PM

R13, Republicans should never be forgiven for nominating the man who attacked and sold out the country.

by Anonymousreply 17December 22, 2024 2:29 PM

[quote] We'll never know for sure who if anyone could have beaten Trump.

But the Bidenists spent two years telling us that only Biden could defeat Trump.

Filthy souls, too evil for hell itself, etc etc.

by Anonymousreply 18December 22, 2024 2:29 PM

R17 and who failed to prosecute Trump in a timely manner ensuring he would be able to run again in 2024?

by Anonymousreply 19December 22, 2024 2:30 PM

How about infecting their food with a nice diarrhoea causing bacteria?

by Anonymousreply 20December 22, 2024 2:36 PM

The Dems fucked up and became world class losers. Why would the winners want us Debbie Downers at their celebration?

Look at DL, we are depressed, sad, worried, afraid, somewhat terrified or withdrawn losers. Who wants to eat with that?

Even most Dems would want to avoid the sad, the lonely, the depressed, the afraid, if they wanted to enjoy a meal.

by Anonymousreply 21December 22, 2024 3:20 PM

R13 Yes, but the Republicans suck ass. They’re just more forceful and have more powerful messaging. The Democrats have this deference to decency that died in years ago in American politics. Republicans are becoming a “new fashioned” party that’s changed its ideals and the Dems seem passive and stuck in old ways and do not shamelessly self promote nearly enough.

[quote] Will cancel at the last minute. I feel the flu coming on-yes I do.

Go there without a face mask and tell them you have COVID, but you wanted to give everyone a holiday kiss. Then make a fast exit and go home.

by Anonymousreply 23December 22, 2024 4:14 PM

[quote]so hot their assholes will melt

Pics please.

by Anonymousreply 24December 22, 2024 4:17 PM

Ask them instead what is important to them that makes them vote the way they did. My guess is you will find much common ground there. I'm not talking about things like "guns" but the underlying motivator, like a desire for independence and agency. You might not agree with their opinions but they are shaped by the bubble they are in. How many of the people you think about would you classify as evil? If you say "all of them", then I truly don't know what to say.

by Anonymousreply 25December 22, 2024 4:30 PM

R21 is Georgi Girl Santos

by Anonymousreply 26December 22, 2024 4:37 PM

Good Idea R20 Take a dump and don’t wash your hands. “pass the stuffing please””

by Anonymousreply 27December 22, 2024 4:41 PM

R25 is another MOMMY CUNT, GO FF THE FUCKING CUNT

by Anonymousreply 28December 22, 2024 8:23 PM

Sometimes you have to make a stand when the only beneficiary of the gesture is your own peace of mind, OP.

I’ve been sparing myself the experience of “being with family over the holidays” for many years. I found it painful to be alone on Christmas day at first, but not now. I’ve developed a few of my own dumb little traditions to pass the time enjoyably and it’s much better than sitting with them and trying to act like I feel differently than I really do.

Let them decorate their gingerbread cookies as Trump — I kid you not, I watched that happen one year — I don’t have to put myself through that anymore.

by Anonymousreply 29December 22, 2024 8:52 PM

I love Miss Manners:

1). I’m afraid we can’t make it.

“Oh no, why can’t you come?”

2) It’s simply impossible.

“We will miss you!”

3) I’ll be thinking of you, too.
