He feels it's okay, if they are "properly trained."
But what do YOU think?
I know that I would be fucking terrified, and then pissed at this asshole.
Would calling the cops do anything about this?

He's an antisocial jackass with defiant behaviours. Menace.

Aren't these the killer dogs who have been known to maul people to death?
Several of them have been in the news this year.

Does he go into a store where there is food?

Blacks.

ugh, of course he's not neutered. Not neutered male dogs tend to be the ones you read about in incidents. This dog seems really well trained so that's all I am judging.

Trained or not R6, assholes like this guy parade their dogs around unleashed, just to intimidate and instill fear in other people.
They do it for a power trip.

Sad story. I was in a big park in DC once a few years ago and a guy had his dog off leash. I overheard someone lecturing him about it. His response was the "My dog is so disciplined, trained, I'm not worried about it" etc. Not even 5 minutes later, I hear screeching tires. The dog had run after a random rabbit right into traffic, and was hit. It was absolutely horrifying. I felt so bad, and it was so disturbing.
To make it DL-friendly - yes, the guy was incredibly hot, and shirtless.

Big dogs make me nervous, with the exception of goldens and labs.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 20, 2024 12:36 AM |
Labs scare me, not because they bite but because they run really fast while looking over their shoulder. I've been taken out at the dog park by a lab to the back of the knees, and know several other people who've had the same experience. In the same way, they will run straight through your small dog.
How they train them to work with blind people I've got no idea. They're total doofuses.

While I think all dogs should ALWAYS be on a leash when in public, the reality is that this dude would not be able to hold that dog back if he were actively trying to pull away - few people could.
The Cane Corso is one of the strongest dogs.

Then, R13, those dogs should be muzzled and in harness whenever they're out in public.
Hell, my sister's late Cockapoo was always in harness because while well-bred and trained she would go the fuck off when she saw horses (when they lived in NOLA and were always in the Quarter and near the Fairgrounds) and the evil geese in City Park. Before my sister started with the harness, Chloe almost ripped Sister's arm out of its socket; that beautiful bitch was muscular and strong as hell.
I cannot imagine trying to control a Cane Corso, Rottweiler, or Bully.

Bet it has a shock collar on.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 20, 2024 2:15 AM |
And I’m pretty sure there are leash laws but maybe it’s only a misdemeanor.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 20, 2024 2:18 AM |
Out a leash on a dog.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 20, 2024 2:19 AM |
R15 I thought the same. Corsos are intuitively, aggressively protective, the dog would more likely tear into anyone or anything it deemed a threat to its owner, meaning that jackass is the ONE safe person aroundif that dog went off.

Arrest this fucking ignorant animal.
The person, not the dog.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 20, 2024 3:09 AM |
Cute puppy!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 20, 2024 3:11 AM |
Hell yes, I'd be afraid. He's only doing it for attention. It's pretty irresponsible of him to do, too. What an asshole. Aren't there leash laws the cops can enforce?
