I like it but it’s so much wood

Since when have YOU ever complained about “too much wood”, OP?

Never in your life

by Anonymousreply 1December 17, 2024 8:14 AM

WOW! What a stunning location and outlook.

We're gay - we LOVE wood OP. Never too much.

$18 million, no hallways, and I have to walk through bathrooms to get to a second bedroom? No thanks!

by Anonymousreply 3December 17, 2024 8:25 AM

The stairs from the main entryway lead to the second bedroom. There is another set of stairs to the main bedroom.

by Anonymousreply 4December 17, 2024 8:36 AM

Uh huhhuhhuh you said "wood".

by Anonymousreply 5December 17, 2024 8:51 AM

I love the dramatic location and the exterior. I would feel silly paying 18 million to live there and then cooking in such a fake rustic kitchen. It looks Disney Imagineer-level fake, like Mickey's house in Toontown. How could anyone feel at home there?

It's beautiful OP but the drive out there is a killer. I'd have to have my own helipad. But the land around it is gorgeous and the views are spectacular.

The aerial shows this mansion is not long for dry earth.

by Anonymousreply 8December 17, 2024 11:51 AM

well, "mansion-cottage"

by Anonymousreply 9December 17, 2024 11:52 AM

It looks like a fire trap. Old ass rustic wood. No thanks.

by Anonymousreply 10December 17, 2024 11:59 AM

Terrible. And that cliff is eroding.

by Anonymousreply 11December 17, 2024 12:05 PM

Is there a reason for the "pool" to be so exasperatingly twee-tiny.

by Anonymousreply 12December 17, 2024 12:07 PM

^and such a trek from the house?

by Anonymousreply 13December 17, 2024 12:10 PM

Built in 1912 and rebuilt in faux rustic in 1991.

by Anonymousreply 14December 17, 2024 12:24 PM

A little too thematic and not very beachy but will be snapped up by a new money finance couple who espouse a “Rustic” lifestyle in Montauk

Yes, it keeps getting closer and closer to that cliff with every storm.

‘‘Tis for the faeries and leprechauns.

by Anonymousreply 17December 17, 2024 12:48 PM
