It’s still, for now, such a pleasant place. Time will tell…
Wow.. BlueSky just reached 25,000,000 users a few minutes ago
by Anonymous | reply 50 | December 24, 2024 6:12 PM |
I finally got it, too. Screw Elon.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | December 13, 2024 3:01 AM |
It's a lot like early, early Twitter
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 13, 2024 3:11 AM |
My twitter follower numbers have plummeted. Was it something I wrote? It dawned on me that people are canceling their accounts and joining Bluesky. Twitter is getting uglier by the day and Bluesky is picking up speed.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 13, 2024 3:11 AM |
100% Musk will have it destroyed in 2025.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 13, 2024 3:12 AM |
I signed up to BlueSky recently. Unfortunately there just isn't the same amount of news and movement as there is on that beshitted X platform. Perhaps time will change this.
One thing which worries me is that we are all splitting off onto social media which matches our bias. I worry about ending up in an echo chamber. One excellent thing about Twitter was that everyone from all political stripes was in the one place. Now we are split off to BlueSky, Truth Social, Threads etc.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 13, 2024 3:18 AM |
I dislike the splitting myself, r5, but Musk is not policing the hate on Twitter. It gets more vile daily.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 13, 2024 3:33 AM |
Exactly R6. X/Twitter became abusive. To stay is to be abused.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 13, 2024 11:17 AM |
The journos will get there. Twitter took off when they arrived. Many lifestyle journos are already there. The news and opinion journos are probably on a tighter leash and will need permission.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 13, 2024 11:20 AM |
Lots of Film Twitter has already moved to BlueSky, we just need to get the journos on there as well. The only ones left in the end will be the terminally online libs who get off on the abuse, thinking that clapbacks at trolls and bots actually do something for the cause.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 13, 2024 11:56 AM |
If only BlueSky links showed up better on DL.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 13, 2024 12:01 PM |

Totally agree with you R6. He destroyed it.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 13, 2024 12:13 PM |
Bluesky shows the true face of the “be kind” demographic.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 13, 2024 12:22 PM |
That's awful but not surprising R12.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 13, 2024 12:29 PM |
BlueSky will be the same dumpster fire as X within a few months if not weeks.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 13, 2024 12:41 PM |
Not with actual content moderation it won't. It's got better bones to withstand bullshit.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 13, 2024 12:44 PM |
(I'm not using either.) Can you block profiles from reading and replying to your tweets on either platform?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 13, 2024 12:53 PM |
On Bluesky, yes. But your blocks, for now, are public. They'll know you blocked them.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 13, 2024 12:58 PM |
Can you imagine sweaty Pete hitting that?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 13, 2024 1:02 PM |
R6 Elonia Pufferfish is the one doing all the hate. A lot of accounts would not disappear after you block them. It is him.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 13, 2024 1:05 PM |
I've lost a lot of Twitter followers in the past few weeks but I suspect it's just bot account removal
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 13, 2024 1:07 PM |
Do not like Shitter or Fakebook. Stay off. They desperately try to gas people into staying so that tney can block people who do not agree.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 13, 2024 1:08 PM |
No algorithm on BlueSky, either. There's 0 content agenda.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 13, 2024 1:10 PM |
R20 no, it is Elonia. She is in the COVID enemies top 10.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 13, 2024 1:13 PM |
[quote] On Bluesky, yes. But your blocks, for now, are public. They'll know you blocked them.
I don't mind them knowing that they're blocked. My house, my rules. If they don't behave, they're not invited.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 13, 2024 1:54 PM |
r24=Elonia
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 13, 2024 2:14 PM |

Maybe your nudes are doing it for people as much anymore.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 13, 2024 2:59 PM |
r12 People are not on there anymore. This is not a Twitter friendly place.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 13, 2024 4:04 PM |
There's no controlling people anymore. They wanted us all there in order to manipulate. They won't have anyone to yell their insecurities to anymore.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 13, 2024 4:07 PM |
R27, your posting history is limited to cheerleading for BlueSky on this thread. Curious.
We can post whatever we want on DL. It’s not a friendly place, period.
But feel free to link the murder threats on Blue Sky directly.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 13, 2024 4:12 PM |
r29=Elonia the friend no one wants anymore.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 13, 2024 4:16 PM |
No one is cheerleading. You're on here too much, Elonia.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 13, 2024 4:17 PM |
Trump will find a way to get it banned once Social Media falls under the FCC
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 13, 2024 4:18 PM |
Pinky has no authority and neither does FCC.
Nice try, Apartheid Clyde.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 13, 2024 4:23 PM |
I wish there was a way to deactivate Elon Musk.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 13, 2024 4:24 PM |
NYT pitchbot is hilarious.
Like The Onion, but directly targeted.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 13, 2024 7:48 PM |
Twitter is censored. You are only allowed to say anything that does not go against ELON's COVID authoritarianism. He was never bullied. He is the bully. Bill Gates, Trump, Obamas, Clintons, Bushes are all trying to murder the world. They killed the CEO of CashApp (Hochul in NY vetoed protections against vulnerable populations, but makes it easier to protect CEOS who are threatened). Elon is a welfare company, so he is about as smart as a random junkie on the street. They need him to help kill off the world. They have been killing off other CEOS. Elaine Chao's sister was run into a lake by a car he controls. She was CEO of a trade company. They are talentless murderers who are not trying to let you say anything that is against them.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 23, 2024 2:31 PM |
Mastadon is very good. More fun there. Better control without them.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 23, 2024 2:33 PM |
I like Bluesky. Mastadon is better for me. Deleted my twitter over a year ago, so I just block posters who use it. Can't relate to those people. Even Manface Ovens cannot exist withoit someone to attack with that ugly face.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | December 23, 2024 2:38 PM |
I saw his stupidity in the beginning. The money he blew on his exploding rockets come from taxpayers. He is not self made.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | December 23, 2024 2:45 PM |
Take your meds, R37.
Elmo bought Twitter to kill it. Twitter was the town square and everyone was on it; it was too dangerous to the oligarchs and authoritarians (you do know that Elmo got $billions of investment in the purchase from the Saudis, the Chinese, the Russians and oligarchs the world over?) and they demanded it be killed. Because Twitter had a robust Trust and Safety and diligently worked to keep it out of the toilet, the right was unable to use it to go after people, dox their enemies, spread mis- and disinformation, etc. It was in no way perfect (so don't go there) but as we've seen since he took over, it has turned into something resembling the effluent from a raw sewage pipe as big as the former Twitter HQ. The fact that it was a $44 billion loss means nothing to the people with this much wealth.
The only thing I don't understand is why journalists have remained there. The abuse that they take must be legion. There is nothing of value that the X user adds to the conversation.
It was fun while it lasted. But if you're still there, you're part of the problem. Scrub and delete your account.

R35 & R36, I too love the NYT Pitchbot. I like to imagine there’s an intern at the Times who has to monitor it and send its headlines to a senior editor…. and every so often, it would seem that the intern fucks up and the Times dances to the Pitchbot’s tune.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | December 23, 2024 3:00 PM |
ps R37, you seem marinated in conspiracy theory. Angela Chao drunkenly slam-reversed her Tesla at high speed in the darkness into her own lake, on her property. She phoned her friend and explained in a panic what she’d done, as the water was seeping in and she was about to drown.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | December 23, 2024 3:06 PM |
r37 People are going to overthrow Trump the Repugs and DemoRats. It's inevitable.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | December 23, 2024 3:59 PM |
Obama is a jughead fool. I've come to abhor him and his beard. Useless and full of fucking shit.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | December 23, 2024 5:17 PM |
r45 I don't get it.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | December 23, 2024 5:19 PM |
r46 Obama is the one who gave this bloated pig money for Tesla. He's also the token half-negroe like fake ass Kamala.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | December 23, 2024 5:20 PM |
R45/R47: Agree with the criticism, but fuck off with your racist shit. You can criticize without going there.
Merry Christmas!
by Anonymous | reply 48 | December 24, 2024 4:30 PM |
I do enjoy X. I don't see the problem with it. It just words on the screen. The most important thing is that Elon allows porn on it. He seems progressive in that regard.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | December 24, 2024 6:11 PM |
Bluesky allows porn, too.
