Kristen Doute is not hiding her feelings after James Kennedy's arrest.

Doute, 41, who dated her Kennedy between 2014 and 2015 following her split from Vanderpump Rules' costar Tom Sandoval, shared a post on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, Dec. 12 after news broke that Kennedy, 32, had been arrested in Burbank, Calif. following a 911 call about an argument between him and a woman.

Authorities did not see any injuries when they arrived on the scene, the outlet reported, but he was arrested and released on $20,000 bail.

Burbank Police confirmed to PEOPLE that Kennedy was arrested at home on Tuesday, Dec. 10, around 11:30 p.m. "regarding an argument between a man and a woman."

"The investigation determined it was a domestic incident, leading to [Kennedy's] arrest," a police spokesperson told PEOPLE. "[Kennedy] was booked for misdemeanor domestic violence and later posted bail. Formal charges are pending review by the Burbank City Attorney’s office."

It is unclear if the woman in question was the DJ’s girlfriend Ally Lewber — who he has been dating since January 2022 — but the pair had been together earlier that night at Kathy Hilton’s annual holiday party.

A source told PEOPLE the pair spent much of the night apart and didn’t show much affection toward each other.

The Vanderpump Rules alum was allegedly "acting super aggressive all night long" at the holiday part on Tuesday, an insider told PEOPLE.

"He was acting so erratic, running back and forth to the bar and body-checking people along the way,” the insider said. “He appeared inebriated. Spent the evening mostly alone but when he did speak to people, he appeared irritated and rude."

In addition to Doute and Lewber, Kennedy has previously been romantically involved with his former VPR costar Raquel Leviss. He was engaged to Leviss, 30, for seven months in 2021, but they called off their engagement after five years of dating in December 2021.

Additionally, the show — which premiered in 2013 as a spinoff to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — is slated to return to its original formula of giving a behind-the-scenes look at Lisa’s many restaurants, according to the outlet.

Sources told TMZ that current VPR stars James, Tom Sandoval, Tom Schwartz, Ariana Madix, Scheana Shay, Katie Maloney and Lala Kent had only heard about the decision from production the night before the announcement.

A source also exclusively told In Touch on November 26 that “the cast members were left in the dark for months about the plans for season 12.”

Bravo made the news official that same day, revealing in a press release that season 12 will feature Lisa, 64, and “and a new group of close-knit SUR-vers who are as complicatedly involved with one another as their iconic predecessors.”

James reacted to the recasting announcement in a post on Instagram on November 26, sharing a heartfelt message along with a clip from the show and some DJing photos.

For me, this show encapsulates the very worst part of LA's scene - there are thousands and thousands more of these types in LA. People who will do ANYTHING for fame and money. Fuck around on each other, stab them in the back, rude, thinking they're above others.

Ally Lewber, who has been dating the Vanderpump Rules cast member for almost three years, shared a message of gratitude to fans days after the reality star was detained in police custody.

"Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support and for checking in on me," the 28-year-old wrote on her Instagram Stories Dec. 14, marking her first public comments about the incident. "I'm okay and taking the time I need right now. I deeply appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time."

Kennedy, whose real name is James Kennedy Georgiou, was arrested Dec. 10 in a home in Burbank, Calif., on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery upon a spouse or cohabitant after an unidentified women inside stated "her boyfriend lifted her up and threw her to the ground," according to an arrest log obtained by E! News.

The 32-year-old was later released on a $20,000 bond, Los Angeles jail records show.

Following the arrest, the Bravolebrity's legal team spoke out in his defense.

"We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations levied by the Burbank Police Department against James," Kennedy's attorneys said in a statement obtained by E! News Dec. 13. "We understand that there were no injuries and we are hoping that, after careful review, the city’s attorneys will decide not to file formal charges."

Hours before his arrest, Kennedy had attended Kathy Hilton's DIRECTV holiday party in Beverly Hills with Ally, who appears with him on Vanderpump Rules, and other Bravo reality stars.

The day after the alleged domestic violence incident, she stepped out elsewhere in the Los Angeles area to host fashion brand Windsor's holiday party, and was all smiles while posing for pics.
