YouTube TV Monthly Price Rising Again To Now $83
Delivering the latest case of streaming sticker shock, YouTube TV is raising prices by $10 month in January, hitting $82.99 for its basic plan.
If you have YT TV what are you going to do now? Will you bail? Will you stay? Personally I am with Sling TV which is just fine except the too frequent stuttering. Any better alternative?

Yes, the better alternative is to cut the cable-like streamers and pick one or two like Netflix, Max, Disney+, or Hulu. Last month for Black Friday, you could get six months of Max for $2.99 a month, a year of Disney+ and Hulu together for $2.99 a month, and a year of Peacock for just $20. You could have also gotten a year of Walmart+ for $49, which includes a subscription to Paramount+. That’s five streaming services for a total of $11.73 a month, which is what I signed up for.

I literally just cut the cord and signed up for YouTubeTV a few months ago. It was between that or Hulu Live, but Hulu was $10/month more. But since that also includes Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+, it looks like I'll be switching.
This article sums up the differences between all the services. There are cheaper ones than Hulu or YouTube but most have more limited channel options and don't include local stations.

I have Roku and just subscribe to certain apps for my ad-free viewing which are Netflix, Britbox, Acorn, LMC, and Max/HBO: Probably around $75 total, maybe less. Don't need news, sports, PBS, or network/cable. These provide me with plenty of options for entertainment. I feel so free!

I'm actually surprised that people pay this much for one service. I mean if the customers don't flinch why would they not raise rates?

It's the evidence that a fool and his money are soon parted. No one needs YouTube TV. No one can or will watch all the channels that they pay for when they subscribe. There's no logical sense behind it. The majority of people who feel they have to have this kind of service will keep paying even with increased rates.
