Honestly, r1, I didn't know "Feliz Navidad" is unpopular unless only because it's played so much

The original cartoon version is vintage charm, unlike the over-produced version of the chipmunks that came later.

Do They Know It's Christmas? I don't care if it's cheesy...it reminds me of my youth and all the great popstars of that era.

"All I Want for Christmas is You" is meaningless, frothy, shallow pop music at its best.

For what it is, it's great.

But when I hear it, I'm reminded of what a DLer posted. He or she worked in a popular restaurant.

They liked it, too. But it was on repeat in the restaurant's playlist at the holidays and after hearing it every hour they wanted to strangle themselves with a cloth napkin.

It's not Christmas for me until I hear that McCartney song's annoying early stage keyboard reverbs in the grocery.

I hate the whole song, OP, but especially the pronunciation of "hula hoop", which makes me want to kill myself, but only after killing the "singer". Anyway, happy holidays!

I was in high school when it came out and all my idols were on the song so it was very meaningful. I still get chills when they start singing “Feed the World!”
