Considering how bad the take on Namor was in that film, I'm OK with him disappearing.

No one wanted him as Namor--that's no one's idea of what the Sub-Mariner is like.
They could easily have had another Latino actor play Namor, but Namor has such a definite look in the comics (unlike most superheroes, who usually look so generic) that Huerta seemed all wrong.
