Who will be first to adapt Luigi Mangione story, Gus Van Sant or Ryan Murphy?

Assuming Gus Van Sant is the victor, it will be pistols at dawn between Jeremy Allen White’s and Timothee Chalamet’s agents.

They’re to white to play him. Murphy is great at getting hot talented newcomers who can act , or maybe Darin Criss?

by Anonymousreply 3December 11, 2024 10:52 PM

Ryan Murphy for sure. He likes easy to exploit stories about murderous assholes.

by Anonymousreply 4December 11, 2024 10:54 PM

My boss is en route to Pennsylvania to get Luigi to sign an IMMEDIATE release of his rights for our production, which Mr. Murphy wrote on his PJ flight to Altoona. Yes, of COURSE he can fucking get in to see him.

THREAD CLOSED.

Andrew Lloyd Weber has already announced the musical LUIGI with Daniel Radcliffe and Patti LuPone as Mrs. Mangione.

by Anonymousreply 6December 11, 2024 11:57 PM

It's going to be a classy post-modern opera, boys.

by Anonymousreply 7December 12, 2024 12:00 AM

I'm sure Ryan Murphy already has a script outline that includes lots of nudity from Cooper Koch, who's already signed on to play Luigi.

by Anonymousreply 8December 12, 2024 12:18 AM

R8, I'm thinking Luigi needs to pull an Eminem and star in his own biopic.

Assuming he's fine with full-frontal nudity for at least half the movie.

Opera by cute Brown grad Nicolas Jaar, electronic musicion, with Tobias Picker, based on a book by Greg Graffin, evolutionary biologist, PHD Cornell, and founder of punk bank Bad Religion, and a libretto by Alice Goodman.

Girls, girls, girls.

The name? Mangione? Think McFly think.

The correct answer is Luca Guadagnino.

by Anonymousreply 16December 26, 2024 1:22 AM

Michael Angarano as the Republican cousin who caucused for Trump.

by Anonymousreply 17December 26, 2024 6:02 AM

Jeremy Allen White is not attractive, so I doubt he'd be in the running.

by Anonymousreply 18December 26, 2024 6:24 AM

Jeremy Allen White is also way too old. So is Dave Franco, whom many have called for.

I like the idea of Alex Wolff as Luigi, but he already played Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in Patriots Day, so that’s probably a no go.

by Anonymousreply 19December 26, 2024 7:26 AM

I believe Dick Wolf will beat them all. He'll cover it on one of his shows by May.

by Anonymousreply 20December 26, 2024 7:46 AM

I have no doubt the first draft was completed by the 6th.

The shooter will be someone whose kid was denied coverage and died a painful death. The CEO will also be an accused rapist that SVU are investigating But Olivia will caution the they can’t chose their cases. And the moral of the story will be how vigilante justice is wrong.
