Look at this world: hyper-consumption culture, endless scrolling, social media dopamine hits, overprescription of SSRIs and painkillers, junk food addiction, dead-end jobs, grind culture haze, corporate overlords dictating life, algorithm-controlled thoughts, screen-glued faces, AI-replaced creativity, numbed emotions, empty conversations, stoned on edibles, no communication skills, meaningless self-help mantras, constant Amazon delivery dependence, clickbait-fueled outrage, fast fashion landfill mountains, Uber Eats diets, virtual reality escapism, TikTok trends as religion, and a collective detachment from purpose, nature, and each other. Sad state of affairs.
We’re already living the Zombie Apocalypse!

OP - you make good points but paint in broad strokes. Perhaps spend time around groups that are not quite so polluted. I am fortunate as a college prof to spends years of my working life with young optimistic people. They are the intelligent and hard working ones who manage to attend and succeed at a STEM university. The latest Generation - Z - the digital natives - are quite a change. Change is usually incremental but I feel a large shift with this one. They are indeed WIRED to the max. But it hasn't made the clever young ones, in Gen Z, as polluted as your doomsday scenario suggests.
