That's what the reaction to the CEO shooter is telling us. It wasn't based on party. Most of America agrees on the issue of greedy health insurers and soaring healthcare costs. Watch the sketch and you'll see.
SNL was right in 2016: It's not about left or right anymore. It's about top-level wealth vs. anyone else.

Competition for resources is going to get nastier and owners are going to increasingly look down on “lazy” laborers. The owners are continually looking for new profit vehicles in a saturated economy that’s not forecasting very much natural/free population growth in the coming decades. Point black, people who are used to winning don’t feel bad about getting messy to keep winning.
This moment in pop culture might drive health insurance regulation during the Trump admin, but I doubt it for obvious reasons. Future voters might have to be straight-up tricked into voting for policies that help both themselves and the poorer person whose labor value they feel entitled to. I’m not sure how else we get humans to care for each other.

We won't until left causes stop reacting and start funnelling people to more progressive media sources. They've figured out how to take lifestyle content and interest-based content like Page Six to use it as a gateway to the nasty shit.
