She looks like Salome dancing for Herod, very uncharacteristic.
Anne Hathaway's carefully managed resurgence is underway

“Iconic” has become meaningless. Some of her roles are fun and memorable but would t consider any the “I” word.

I just don't get the obsessive hate for her. She seems harmless and advocated hard for marriage equality. Is she unkind to staff? Is it just that people find her personality annoying?

It was her Les Mis Oscar campaign that people can't get over, r3. You can't be *that* thirsty unless you're someone of JLC's age and renown, it became a template for how not to run your Oscar campaign if you're an ingenue.

Fair enough. I think sometimes over-represented actors take their representative's coaching to heart a bit too much and fuck themselves up, just like Bradley Cooper. I try not to get too worked up over them overdoing their job, but I get it.

We like an effort and the college try, we like results, but with Anne, there is a vibe of "the try hard". She can be good, and attractive, in roles. Almost all her PR has an ick factor. Live on interview shows, less so. She can't control this vibe. I don't dislike her. Just that vibe that hovers around.
