President Biden and Jill ignore Kamala Harris during standing ovation at the Kennedy Center Honors
Lame duck President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden ignored a beaming Vice President Kamala Harris — who was applauding enthusiastically for the couple — as they entered the Kennedy Center Honors to a standing ovation, awkward video shows.
The Bidens didn’t greet or acknowledge Harris as they entered the 47th Kennedy Center Honors, even as they took a spot standing right next to the vice president her husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.

Damn her for running! Biden should have been allowed to run from hospice.

Maybe Joe didn’t recognize her again, and Jill continued to assure him that she just was the late Hollywood actress Eileen Heckart (?).

Was Dump there? He seems to be everywhere these days.

Dump won't set foot in a place where he is not the star. He could never sit and watch someone else be honored. He never went when he was in office before. That being said, there is entirely too much talking and not enough performing; dull.

There is no fire in this show. Over-scripted speeches make it seem that those on stage have no idea who the honoree is.

You can be sure that they were all together moments before in some green room or reception room. This does not appear to be a snub.

Sweet moment in which DougE and Kamala stole a kiss.

They all were most likely together for 20 minutes before coming out.

They probably think she was wrong to distance herself from him in the final stages of the campaign, believing if she had embraced Biden's record more often and more enthusiastically she would have won. But we all know that's bullshit because Joe's reputation and his approval rating was in the toilet and he was so unpopular even House and Senate candidates distanced themselves. Now, a popular POTUS is an asset to Congressional candidates but not this time. Joe and Jill are just pissed off at the world and poor Kamala who should get the fucking Congressional Medal of Honor for going above and beyond the call of duty, is the Biden's target. I follow POTUS, FLOTUS Emhoff and Kamala on instagram, and Joe and Jill heavily promote all the glitzy seasonal stuff but Kamala is down to earth. Kamala should be proud of what she did she has nothing to apologize for. We let her down because not enough of us showed up for her.

They ignore everyone because they understand that they’re in the spotlight at that moment.
Silly to read anything into it

The foundation of art is to show not talk about it. That's the weakness of this show. Too much talking and not enough art in performance. It's deathly dull, devoid of joy and genuine emotion.

I'm trying to remember if Joe and Jill ever accompanied Barack and Michelle to this event. I don't remember seeing them.

The Gores came with the Clintons. Don't ever remember seeing the Bidens with the Obamas.

I was at the taping in DC earlier this month and there was a lot of crosstalk between the people in the presidential box. No animosity on display. But the show was great!

He's not snubbing them. He's waving at the crowd, and he does smile at her and Doug (10-15 seconds into the clip) as he surveys the crowd cheering for him.

So how was the show?
Was any performance worth watching?
I'm not going to watch the entire show, but I'll look for a specific performance on YouTube.

The best performance of the night. You know the show is not as top notch as it used to be when Miles Teller is one of the entertainers. The writers must have been paid by the word or the head was named Charles Dickens. 3 hr show - two and a half was talking and 30 minutes was actual performance.

Sorry, this was the best performance of the night. Brandi Carlile and Sheryl Crow for Bonnie Raitt.

Didn't they lecture us over and over how Trump was an existential threat to democracy and there would be catastrophic consequences if he won? And here they are one month before he takes over looking like they don't have a care in the word attending an arts gala performance while millions are terrified of what they next four years will bring.
