I watched the first episode and it was much better than expected. Anybody else watching?

I’m on the 5th episode with one more left. It’s fine, but I was expecting more.

OMG! Someone else is watching this R1! I posted this thread ages ago but with no responses I gave up on it.
I've been enjoying it as something a bit different. I'm not a huge fan of Alexander Ludwig but have been impressed with his acting range. I didn't know he had any! The final episode is out today so will watch that shortly. I have no idea if it's been renewed for a second season and it has the most sparse Wikipedia page I've ever seen. There mustn't be much public interest in it.
What have been your thoughts on it R1?

MGM+
Nope, I am not paying for another subscription. These channels are nickel and dimeing us to death!

I was surprised how fast the years passed without much trouble or showing the kids growing up. I’m actually surprised they had 3 kids for some reason. Ish is doing a good job and I did not recognize him from The Hunger Games. I like that Emma is mellow and not some sassy black woman. It’s good casting.
I also like the fact that they did the right thing and killed Charlie and kicked Silas out.
I don’t think there will be another season because they’ll just be old and their kids aren’t that compelling, but who knows.

I love the novel too much to watch this. Same way I felt about “The Man In The High Castle”.

I read the book and have never forgotten it. Most books of this type are written by guys with a gun fetish. This was much more horrifying, watching civilization devolve.
