Critically drubbed Moana 2 is a blockbuster, ensuring Disney will continue with lazy cash grabs

Moana 2 was cobbled together from an aborted Disney Plus series with many people pointing out it retains the feel of tv episodes jumbled together.

With all the hype on DL about Wicked and Gladiator II, I went over to Box Office Mojo last Monday and was surprised to see Moana 2 outperformed both of them.

Is DL no longer the cultural zeitgeist?

Moana was one of the best Disney films in years.

Not going to bother seeing Moana 2. They didn't even get LMM.

What the fuck is a Moana? There’s 2 of them?

In the Hawaiian language, moana means "ocean" or "sea".

OP Why not if it's a money maker? Theater owners certainly aren't complaining. So far, it's made 600 million globally and its domestic intake is 300 million verses Wicked at 320 million and Gladiator2 with137 million. And is it any worse than all those cookie cutter movies that Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts appeared in for which they received $25 million? It's called show business with the emphasis on business

Moana was fantastic. I don’t care if Moana 2 got bad reviews; I’ll still go see it
