And for that matter, why would a rat choose to be a shithouse rat, living only in a shithouse?

It’s too bad the critiques go to the right wing bin as opposed to the “be careful and do it don’t this way” bin. There is a place for transition in our society, but giving nuanced advice is important. I don’t understand the topic well, but I think the discussion should focus on the different levels of transition. Unfortunately, they’re probably individuals who think transitioning was a mistake but perhaps gender dysphoria wasn’t their primary issue.

And that's what medical/psychological professionals are for - That's why "kids" who think they're trans who actually get support from their parents see several doctors in various fields BEFORE they start any transition situation or transition meds.

Right Wingers are jumping on the trans stuff to make money and keep in the spotlight, THAT'S IT. Anything they say is suspect and generally not-informed on facts. They do it to keep their pockets lined.
