Finally someone said this about the Hunter pardon.
It’s about time.
First of all, the republicans launched a witch hunt against Hunter and combed through every aspect of his life until they found something.
Second and much more importantly, why the fuck are insurrectionists lecturing us about the “rule of law?” Why are democrats held to one standard and republicans to no standard at all?

What use is being on the high ground of a hill surrounded by visigoths intent on destroying the mountain?

Trump pardon his son-in-law’s gangster father, then he complains about this.

There is nothing wrong with Biden pardoning his son. There is something wrong with him not having the balls to admit he would pardon his son. He’s like Bill Clinton, who didn’t get in trouble for sleeping with Monica but for not having the balls to say “Yeah I fucked her.”
Dems need to grow a pair and stop being afraid that the New York Times editorial board will say mean things about them due to their hypocritical double standards for Democrats.

"Finally"? While most of the media coverage has been absurd, there were plenty of journos who immediately clocked Biden's reasons for reversing himself, seeing as they're blindingly obvious. OTOH this is admittedly the best lede on the subject I've seen thus far:
"I do not believe I have read a worse collection of takes in the weeks since Donald Trump’s reelection than the endless array of white columnists and pundits whining about Joe Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter Biden. The idea that the 'rule of law' is somehow undermined—in this lunatic country that just elected a convicted felon who has promised to prosecute his political enemies—by this ordinary use of the extraordinary presidential pardon power, is simply nuts."
I still remember the uproar after the Gaza attacks, when Israeli supporters were OUTRAGED by the mere SUGGESTION that the IDF would dare HARM a Gaza hospital housing women & children! Except that's exactly what happened, of course, and it happened another 2,000 times afterwards. The Biden pardon will be forgotten within a few months of Trump taking office again – at least by everyone aside from the right-wing dipshits who've been obsessing over Hunter for most of the past decade – once the full scope of his actions becomes clear.

If the President had not pardoned his son, I would be personally insulted.
"Going high, when they go low" DOESN'T FUCKING WORK WITH MAGAT SCUM! .

Exactly, r9.
Yet the US media is radio silent on this.
After YEARS and MILLIONS being spent on this fucking LIAR, not one member of the MSM will ask Comer Pile of Shit why he didn’t vet this “witness” before letting him run his mouth, unchecked, in front of Congress.
If there were any justice, that fucker would be charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, lying to Congress, contempt of Congress and just looking like a balloon headed freak of nature.

I think Biden didn't intend to pardon Hunter, because he thought the Dems would be re-elected. In that case, even though we all know Hunter was targeted by the GOP and would never have got to court if he hadn't been a Biden, he did confess to the charges and I think Joe would have let the justice system make its own decisions precisely to prove the point that his side doesn't believe anyone is above the law. If Hunter had had to do a small amount of time, it wouldn't have been long and it probably wouldn't have been unduly arduous given his status.
The "justice system" under Trump will be an entirely different beast, however, and nobody can predict how bad things could get for [what would be viewed by the regime as] a political prisoner. I think that's what made the President change his mind. It is already clear how much the second Trump term is going to be driven by retribution. He's also promised to start building internment camps the first day "for illegal immigrants". But once you have those, who knows who gets to be in them?
