I read years ago that fluoride was a manufacturing waste product, and that the greedy corporate fatcats fell on a plan to dump it into the water by convincing people it would make their teeth strong and healthy.

OMG, OP; #2 is EXACTLY what my old Dad's Trini cardiologist told me three years ago.
Said she had switched to Tom's toothpaste bcz it doesn't contain fluoride, and was waiting for the fluoride to exit her system so she can begin developing her third eye.
I thought to myself "Heffa, how you worried about fluoride and your third eye when your other two can't even see my old Dad with dementia rolling HIS eyes at you so hard I thought they might pop right out of his sockets?"
Truly excellent cardiologist, but she's a nutter in every other way.
