Sometimes, I search out homes where I used to live, just to see what they look like now.
It's interesting, and sometimes depressing to search out the places where I used to live. 50 years ago, my family moved into a new house - the first and only new house that my parents ever owned. It was on the edge of a (then) new housing development, with miles of open field beyond. Now, the field is nearly all developed. The house was sold just last month, and frankly looks much better than it ever did in our 6 years there.
Sometimes, I think about going back there, or to the other places. I guess I'm lucky that Zillow and such has pictures, so I don't need to show up like a crazy man to see what the place looks like.
The neighborhood was kind of barren back then, but now there are big trees everywhere - I guess 50 years will do that.

I do this all the time, OP. I’ve only lived in two houses but I constantly search my old lake cabin, grandparents’ houses, and houses of family friends to possibly catch a new listing with pictures that can bring back wonderful memories.
I just hope my grandmother’s house isn’t flipped into the style or Joanna Gaines before I get to see it again.

You're not the only one OP. We only lived in 2 houses after I was born in 1953. We moved in 1955 to the new house my parents built. My father took a photo of the old house before we moved. I don't remember the house at all as I was only 2 when we moved. But a little more than 50 years later I was nearby and decided to drive by and see what the place looked like. I took the color photo in the mid 90s. Just look at those huge trees that were either not there 50 years earlier, or were just tiny little seedlings.

R2, that is very cool!
OP, I do this too with the two houses I grew up in, as well as my grandparents' houses.
