Shaboozey may be a one-trick pony, but it's a good pony; that "Tipsy" song is incredibly catchy.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | December 8, 2024 3:39 AM |
I hope Pedro shows up
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 8, 2024 4:11 AM |
I can’t wait.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 8, 2024 4:24 AM |
Sarah Sherman is following in Kate McKinnon's footsteps of doing creepy impressions of men.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 8, 2024 4:33 AM |
Church Lady? Yes, this is the best they can do in 2024 - a skit from the 90s. Fucking David Spade as Hunter Biden. Sarah Sherman is as horrible Matt Gaetz. Quit clowning and get the fuck off the stage.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 8, 2024 4:34 AM |
I thought Spade was spot on
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 8, 2024 4:36 AM |
Sarah Sherman is the new Kate McKinnon. She will be shoved down our throats more.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 8, 2024 4:36 AM |
Spade dude great
Dana is always amazing
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 8, 2024 4:38 AM |
Really R6? He was doing David Spade in a slower speed.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 8, 2024 4:38 AM |
Well it was funny 30 years ago.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 8, 2024 4:39 AM |
Love seeing Church Lady back, but she seems a little rusty from the golden days of appearing each week; and I think that humor’s a little too subtle for today’s live audience—but today’s Church Chat guests definitely are as apeshit crazy as, and need a Church Lady dressing down, as much as the ones during Reagan’s 1980s. So maybe we’ll get to see Dana back on a more regular basis! ☺️😛
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 8, 2024 4:41 AM |
Awww he seems so excited
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 8, 2024 4:41 AM |
Paul looks so cute
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 8, 2024 4:42 AM |
How is this man considered attractive?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 8, 2024 4:42 AM |
Paul looks hot
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 8, 2024 4:42 AM |
Dana's on every week R11.
Why is Paul wearing a see-through shirt in December?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 8, 2024 4:42 AM |
Paul's hair looks like shit.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 8, 2024 4:42 AM |
So do his nipples.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 8, 2024 4:43 AM |
Paul has very weak hands with sad fingers.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 8, 2024 4:43 AM |
Awwww you can tell Paul is so excited. That made me Smile
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 8, 2024 4:45 AM |
Eek, if w missed Carvey’s recent reappearances including as his Church Lady character, I gotta look for that skit more often. :)
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 8, 2024 4:45 AM |
^if I
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 8, 2024 4:45 AM |
This earring sketch is not working
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 8, 2024 4:52 AM |
R23 disagree. I laughed.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 8, 2024 4:53 AM |
With that voice she does, Heidi really should have a Cher sketch.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 8, 2024 4:53 AM |
The Gladiator 2 musical is awesome
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 8, 2024 4:55 AM |
Was Sarah playing the grandma who was thrown out the window?
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 8, 2024 4:55 AM |
Paul is always cute, but Bowen as a Roman is never.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 8, 2024 4:56 AM |
I'm out....
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 8, 2024 4:56 AM |
Mescal is basic.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 8, 2024 4:56 AM |
Paul is adorable. He’s so cute.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 8, 2024 4:56 AM |
Bowen probably begged to be in the musical sketch.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 8, 2024 4:57 AM |
Yes, R27.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 8, 2024 4:58 AM |
R30 disagree. His enthusiasm and excitement is adorable and he’s had a lot of energy in his skits so far.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 8, 2024 4:59 AM |
Ashley Padilla sort of reminds me of Michelle Monaghan.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | December 8, 2024 5:01 AM |
Does Paul have really small fingernails?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 8, 2024 5:03 AM |
I like the energy of the female cast member in the Italian restaurant sketch.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 8, 2024 5:04 AM |
LOL. Weirdest and gayest DND ever and that's saying a lot.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 8, 2024 5:09 AM |
That sketch was amazing
by Anonymous | reply 39 | December 8, 2024 5:11 AM |
45 mins in and every skit seems like we saw them years ago.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | December 8, 2024 5:15 AM |
Loving this episode
by Anonymous | reply 41 | December 8, 2024 5:15 AM |
Mescal looks like the (somewhat) cute guy who cannot suck a dick. We've all met that guy.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | December 8, 2024 5:19 AM |
I enjoyed Shaboozey.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | December 8, 2024 5:21 AM |
Good thing he likes women then
by Anonymous | reply 44 | December 8, 2024 5:21 AM |
Agree, Shaboozey is good.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | December 8, 2024 5:28 AM |
Weekend Update is always the best part for me
by Anonymous | reply 46 | December 8, 2024 5:34 AM |
Weekend Update 🔥 (first time in decades!)
by Anonymous | reply 47 | December 8, 2024 5:35 AM |
"I'll give you oral." That sounded like he improvised that line.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | December 8, 2024 5:43 AM |
Fucking hate Bowen Yang, hes's not that fucking funny! Kenan is also so overused that he isn't even funny anymore and probably hasn't been for the last few years.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | December 8, 2024 6:01 AM |
R49, I don't know what compelled them to put him in the restaurant sketch playing the Italian owner. Unless there was a joke in there and I missed it.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | December 8, 2024 7:13 AM |
Who was the chubby chick in the pink dress? I had no idea and still don't. Was she the "Very Demure" girl? No clue.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | December 8, 2024 7:35 AM |
R50 a lot of Italians have black dna
by Anonymous | reply 52 | December 8, 2024 11:30 AM |
That was another awful episode. Didn't laugh once, not even during Weekend Update. I am so tired of seeing Michael Che and Colin Jost and their smug "aren't I hilarious and clever" mugs during their segments. Hey, Michael Che, here's a professional note. If you have to set up a joke and tell your audience it's a smart joke, it's not.
And poor Paul Mescal. He showed he's got comic chops, but once again, as they usually do with talented hosts, the writers failed him. He did his best during the Italian restaurant commercial sketch, but there was absolutely nothing he could do to salvage the pirate revue and courtroom sketches.
The only saving grace of this episode was that Bowen Yang's appearances were limited. That Spotify sketch featuring him and that obese woman (I must be old; I have no fucking clue who she is) was just plain dumb.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | December 8, 2024 1:14 PM |
I liked it and Paul was great
by Anonymous | reply 54 | December 8, 2024 1:16 PM |
R11 the Church Lady was a great sketch back in the 80s, early 90s but comes of as outdated now. Old mousy ultra religious ladies are not much a thing anymore. It just doesn't hit like it did then and comes off as trying to revive better times.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | December 8, 2024 1:23 PM |
R55 Yeah, that whole sketch felt "phoned in."
by Anonymous | reply 56 | December 8, 2024 1:24 PM |
Boy, am I out of touch. I had no idea Shaboozey was black.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | December 8, 2024 1:27 PM |
[quote] How is this man considered attractive?
Well asked.
I'm sure he's fine human being, but still.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | December 8, 2024 1:31 PM |
SNL- 10/75 to 5/79 otherwise don't bother
by Anonymous | reply 59 | December 8, 2024 1:34 PM |
Beauty is subjective. I find Mescal very hot
by Anonymous | reply 60 | December 8, 2024 1:35 PM |
It's been too long since Marcello exposed his hot ass cheeks. SNL needs more of that.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | December 8, 2024 3:09 PM |
Love Dana and David. I listen to their podcasts faithfully. The Church Lady sketch was off though. The writing wasn’t that bad. The performances were the weak link. I agree with a previous poster that Dana seemed rusty (Spade, too). Their energy was low.
I also have no idea who the busty chick with Bowen was. I imagine it’s one of the countless internet “celebrities.” 🥱
by Anonymous | reply 62 | December 8, 2024 3:26 PM |
This show was awful. I DVR'd as I always do, and have spent most of the play-back holding the FF button on the remote. The only saving grace was the 'pirate' sketch where we got to see Marcello's smooth chest and Dismuke's hairy chest. Damn, that Marcello is sexy .
by Anonymous | reply 63 | December 8, 2024 3:50 PM |
R61 R63 Quit try to make Marcello happen. He's doughy. In five years, he'll be morbidly obese.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | December 8, 2024 4:48 PM |
Did Lorne decide to give the interns a crack at writing the show this week? What a piece of shit.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | December 8, 2024 4:56 PM |
R61-What SNL needs is less Lorne.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | December 8, 2024 4:58 PM |
Overall I think this episode was one of the funnier ones. I'm glad they found something for Dana to do. Doing Biden now seems cruel. I decided I Really like Paul Mescal, and that fucking Gladiator trailer skit had me laughing out loud with tears streaming. Every time I type or see the word Gladiator I can hear Elizabeth's voice, announcing the Oscar.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | December 8, 2024 4:59 PM |
I actually found this episode funny. It was one of the better ones from this season. And Mescal was great. He has good comedic timing, surprisingly. All he plays is serious parts. He should do a romcom.
His energy was amazing and you could see how excited he was to even be there and it was adorable.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | December 8, 2024 5:03 PM |
I set the VCR to record it but there was a power outage so it didn't happen.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | December 8, 2024 5:07 PM |
Anyone who sees Marcello as 'doughy' needs an appointment with their optometrist. The guy is sexy as all hell and needs to do more shirtless scenes for his gay fanbase. No one needs to try to make him 'happen', he already has happened in his few short years on SNL.
Nice to see a hairy chest on Dismukes - makes him stand out from the other cute guys his age.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | December 8, 2024 5:07 PM |
I like Marcello. And I like the new girl. Brunette. The skit I remember her from was with Nate Bargatze playing the EMT guy at the waterpark when someone dies on the giant slide. SNL has been pretty good this year. In fact the Weekend Update was particularly funny last night.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | December 8, 2024 5:11 PM |
R71 It was one of the worst Weekend Updates this season.
The self-adulation of Jost and Che is nauseating.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | December 8, 2024 5:16 PM |
Yes R52, when I think Italian, I think of those black guys like da Vinci, Michelangelo, Machiavelli and Kenan Thompson.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | December 8, 2024 5:23 PM |
Why is Devon Walker even on the show? He's barely featured, and when he is in a skit, he's never funny. It mystifies me that they nmoved him to the main cast this year.
Last night, I think the only skit he appeared in was the Italian restaurant commercial sketch, and all he did was use a clapboard in that one.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | December 8, 2024 5:26 PM |
R72 That picture was taken nearly 2 1/2 years ago. You failed. Again.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | December 8, 2024 6:10 PM |
R76 Yes, 2 1/2 years ago. He's doughier now. You failed. Again.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | December 8, 2024 6:14 PM |
R77 That photo has no date. Try again.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | December 8, 2024 6:17 PM |
r55, They could have evolved the Church Lady into a Phyllis Schlafly who praised all the dead women who died in Hospital parking lots waiting to have their rape baby scraped from their uteri, then move to her burning books for the local school board, and THEN Hunter's Huge Cock.
What happened to Pearl?
by Anonymous | reply 79 | December 8, 2024 6:18 PM |
R80 Thanks sweetie - you just proved what a fine, fuckable ass Marcello has. Damn, that looks good !
Thanks again !
by Anonymous | reply 81 | December 8, 2024 6:21 PM |
R81 And a big, fat gut.
Enjoy!
by Anonymous | reply 82 | December 8, 2024 6:25 PM |
Marcello from September of this year, returning to his university. RECENT PHOTOS. Sexy as ever. No big fat gut. Enjoy!
by Anonymous | reply 83 | December 8, 2024 6:28 PM |
R83 Yeah. Great shot of his gut there. LOL!
by Anonymous | reply 84 | December 8, 2024 6:29 PM |
R78 Ladies, ladies! The bottom line here is that Marcello Hernandez, like most of the current SNL cast, isn't very funny.
by Anonymous | reply 85 | December 8, 2024 6:30 PM |
R84 I know, right ? I can't see it either. LOL! Some people see what they want to imagine. Guy is fine.
by Anonymous | reply 86 | December 8, 2024 6:30 PM |
R8y You can't see it because it's basically hidden in the photo.
Then there's reality (See photo at R77). :-)
by Anonymous | reply 87 | December 8, 2024 6:33 PM |
How much longer do you think we'll have to endure yelly, twitchy Sarah Sherman?
God, she's annoying.
by Anonymous | reply 88 | December 8, 2024 6:35 PM |
Sarah Sherman reminds me of the Deliverance Banjo Boy. Frightening whenever they show up.
by Anonymous | reply 89 | December 8, 2024 6:38 PM |
The Please Don’t Destroy clip was awesome. Loved it.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | December 8, 2024 6:45 PM |
R90 Meh.
by Anonymous | reply 91 | December 8, 2024 6:48 PM |
And the Gladiator 2 musical was incredible. Especially because it got Paul to sing and he has a nice singing voice, it’s a shame he doesn’t sing more often.
by Anonymous | reply 92 | December 8, 2024 6:51 PM |
[quote] I am so tired of seeing Michael Che and Colin Jost and their smug "aren't I hilarious and clever" mugs during their segments. Hey, Michael Che, here's a professional note. If you have to set up a joke and tell your audience it's a smart joke, it's not.
I’ve been tired, especially from that ugly ass Che.
R66, AMEN, and cut the cast in half as well.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | December 8, 2024 7:16 PM |
R92 The problem with that sketch is that I could barely understand what they were singing.
by Anonymous | reply 94 | December 8, 2024 7:16 PM |
Well, the level of shitsomeness has not reached Sushi Glory Hole levels...
by Anonymous | reply 95 | December 8, 2024 7:47 PM |
Whenever there's a hot male star hosting the show, Bowen Yang usually writes a sketch that has him in some sexual situation with the hot host.
This was conspicuously absent on last night's show. I'm guessing Bowen pitched some kind of lame sketch that had he and Paul Mescal doing something gay and Mescal said, "Ah, hell, no. Not with this queen."
by Anonymous | reply 96 | December 8, 2024 8:25 PM |
R90 Not funny.
by Anonymous | reply 97 | December 8, 2024 8:45 PM |
R90 Stupid, awkward and pointless like most of the skits on SNL
by Anonymous | reply 98 | December 8, 2024 8:49 PM |
R5 Church Lady was an 80s sketch, pig
by Anonymous | reply 99 | December 8, 2024 9:13 PM |
I can't believe Paul Mescal is only 28. He looks so much older.
by Anonymous | reply 100 | December 8, 2024 9:44 PM |
Thank you, R80. I want to run my hands, my mouth, and my dick in between those cheeks.
by Anonymous | reply 101 | December 8, 2024 10:05 PM |
R99, he reprised the role over the years including the 90s but thank you for such an informed and well written response. Have a great evening Fuckface.
by Anonymous | reply 102 | December 9, 2024 12:26 AM |
was it funny? i didn't watch.
by Anonymous | reply 103 | December 9, 2024 12:29 AM |
Here's a cut-for-time sketch called "What Americans Think Will Happen When They Visit Ireland."
by Anonymous | reply 104 | December 12, 2024 5:40 PM |
I find rap to be really corny. All they do is create FAKE drama online so that people will go see them being liars.
by Anonymous | reply 105 | December 12, 2024 6:51 PM |
R105 Huh?
by Anonymous | reply 106 | December 12, 2024 6:56 PM |
This episode hit an all time low in 18-49 viewers, apparently
by Anonymous | reply 107 | December 12, 2024 6:57 PM |
Ouch.
by Anonymous | reply 108 | December 12, 2024 8:04 PM |
R104 They shouldn't have cut that one. It was funnier than the stupid pirate revue sketch.
by Anonymous | reply 109 | December 12, 2024 8:33 PM |
Paul and Pedro need an OF
by Anonymous | reply 110 | December 12, 2024 9:27 PM |
Must have been a close call for Lorne, r109.
by Anonymous | reply 111 | December 12, 2024 9:44 PM |
Mescal's voice sounds really good in OP's clip.
by Anonymous | reply 112 | December 12, 2024 10:32 PM |
The clearly gave Dana Carvey some sort of episode guarantee at the beginning of the season----thinking Biden and Kamala would run thru January. Since that didn't work out they are using him elsewhere in the show.
by Anonymous | reply 113 | December 12, 2024 10:50 PM |
The cast gets 3 thousand dollars. An EPISODE. How generous Lorne is.
by Anonymous | reply 114 | December 12, 2024 10:52 PM |
That's like twice day rate for SAG/AFTRA commercials actors.
by Anonymous | reply 115 | December 13, 2024 12:03 AM |
R114 So being on SNL is about exposure, which leads to commercials, TV guest spots, movies.
That's where the money is.
by Anonymous | reply 116 | December 13, 2024 12:26 AM |
R114 Obviously, you get what you pay for. Look at the "talent pool."
by Anonymous | reply 117 | December 13, 2024 12:37 AM |
This is the only sketch he was actually good in
NDs can only do comedy if they become complete cartoons.
