FDR edited his 12/8/41 address to Congress from describing the Japanese attack as “a date which will live in world history” to “a date which will live in infamy.”

Everyday is a day of malodorous infamy.

As a child, I remember coming home from an NBA game I attended with my father & hearing on the car radio talk of it being the 25th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.

10/10/17 - my mom died . Ten days before my birthday . My sisters couldn’t understand why this added another dimension of grief for me.

That on the little-noted 83rd anniversary I have a residual childhood memory of the historical significance afforded the event on the occasion of its 25th anniversary. Will you also take issue with me noting that, on this 44th anniversary of John Lennon’s murder, more time separates us now from Dec. 8, 1980 than the 39 years that elapsed between Pearl Harbor & Lennon’s death?

No, I won't take issue with that, because that fact is worded in an interesting way. Also, R17, your first post would have made a lot more sense in demonstrating the passage of time if you had told us how old you are, but minus that information, it seemed pointless to me.
