I am kind of amazed at the sheer volume of it and how many people seem to be willing to do it all in front of a camera. I know the stigma is slowly going away, but there is still a huge impact on your future employability, among other things, if you did porn.

OP makes an interesting observation. The amount of people who are doing porn today, whether professional or amateur, is enormous. In the old days it was just a small number of professional porn actors working for a small number of studios and putting out a limited number of VHS tapes each year.

Now there are millions of guys around the world doing porn for everything from studio websites to their own OnlyFans productions. Porn is a world wide cultural phenomenon today.

They used to say that the average porn "actor" had a career that lasts around 2 years at the most (likely much shorter these days), so there's always an influx of new "talent". And as others have said, just look at what the producers have to pick from now. The day of the "porn star" are long over. For the most part they're just a bunch of forgettable nobodies who come and go with the wind.
