R8- Wednesday is sort of a cheat day. I have salmon for lunch and then a large bowl of nuts and dried fruit- some of the nuts are coated in sugar. I also have three bags of Trader Joe's freeze dried fruit. All of this is high in calories but I take a 4.2 mile walk in the morning and an additional 1.5 mile walk on the treadmill in the evening.

My goal is to stay on the wagon until Christmas.
As of this morning I've been good for 47 days in a row.

Why the hell are you buying cookies and cakes? Cakes? Aren't cakes perishable.
Let us know when you bust into those "snick snaX," cookies, and cakes.

What are you hoarding them for? You should never go back to eating that stuff.

Christmas binge, it sounds like.

R12- 'll put the Stollen cake from Trader Joe's into the freezer soon- actually a lot of the perishable stuff I keep in a large empty cooler in my really cold garage.

Quick fix, OP: Stop being so full of shit.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 10, 2024 4:18 PM |
OP, on occasion I too will hoard treats. On occasion, I take an unopened box/package and throw it out unopened. Just before I pitch the trash. Gone. Being fat has a basic security issue attached. Check out the Maslow pyramid. I have found that I feel better and more in control when I pitch something I do not need to eat.
Only people with security issues will understand.

by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 11, 2024 4:05 PM |
R27- It's not easy. I keep most of them in a giant unused cooler in my garage.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 11, 2024 5:19 PM |
What the fuck is a Snick Snack?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 11, 2024 5:23 PM |
It’s OP’s term for SNACK.
You need professional help, OP. You’re basically building up to a multi-day food binge blow-out.
What’s next? Purging?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 11, 2024 7:28 PM |
OP, replace the words "sweets" and "frozen pizza" with "cigarettes" and "booze." Someone who wants to take control of their health and give up bad habits doesn't hoard the things that will cause him to fall off the wagon.
Instead of going to the grocery store, order healthy food via Instacart until your willpower is more solid.
Make an appointment with a therapist if you're not already seeing one. Perhaps look into Overeaters Anonymous. Maybe they give out chips like AA for a certain number of days of staying sober.

Good point.

Not potato chips or tortilla chips, though.

As of this morning I was good for 54 days in a row. I had to see my eye doctor and I got stuck in a lot of traffic on the way home- not really an excuse but I fell off the wagon today and stuffed my face with some of the many treats I've been hording from Trader Joe's and a Pizza I bought some weeks ago at Whole Foods. Now I've got to go upstairs and walk on the treadmill for 2.5 miles this is in addition to the 2.2 miles I walked this morning. I was hoping to be good until Christmas day.
Oh well.

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
